@@kmfrancis As far as i understand, de Beauvoir was not just a 'student' or 'friend' of Sartre. She was his partner of 51 years & they had an 'open-end' relationship wherein they both could have multiple partners. She was a teacher, Radical Marxist, Radical Feminist, activist, who forced changes in many legislations. She had connections to Castro & Russian Marxists. She was 'the' inspiration to certain American 'Radical Feminists' like Kate Millet. Kate Millet's sister, Mrs. Mallory Millet, who was an activist alongside her, became disillusioned with Radical Feminism & later found Christ. She's written a book on Kate Millett. She talks about de Beauvoir in her talks on youtube.
