- It’s an exciting time to be foil brained… but it’s not often you see a brand skip the 5-10% improvements and make a quantum leap from one range to the next. Armstrong have successfully done this with the new HA range. Chalk and cheese to the original HA’s with 100% better turning, significantly lower stall speeds and hence easier takeoffs and a foil that is equally happy proning, winging and downwinding. Chris gives his thoughts on initial testing while Aidan Nicholas (Mr Armstrong R&D) talks through the full range.
The range comes in HA580, HA680, HA780, HA880, HA980, HA1080, HA1180 sizes.

Ah man. So many gold nuggets in this interview. Tiny little bits and pieces of advice that can make a big change. Aidan is SO good at this. 👌
What a legend hey. Loved some really good chats with him over the past few days. P.s. Love your youtube name... yewwww
Thanks man👍, and props to YOU also for firing the right questions at Aidan. Such a good interview…
Loved your interview the best of all on the HA's, you guys seem to spread the stoke!
Always articulate, smart, clear and spot on. Thank you

For light wind winging (12 kts) a 70 kg rider weight..would the HA 1080 work ?
My go to is the HA 925 V1 for winging. What size do you recommend for the V2?
Try the 680 & 780 and decide if you're after pushing the envelope (as the 925 did) or you're content with better turning but a little more lift and consistency of the 780. Good luck! If you're around Melbourne hit us up and grab a demo ;)
Hi!!
what do you recommend for stabilizers?
thanks in advance
Glide 220 for more low end and glide. Speed 180 for optimum all round performance. 140 for pro level dialled in gear 😉 video very close. You’ll see shortly if you’re subscribed to channel 🤙
I’m a kid and I’m 65kg just wanting to switch from the ma1000. what Ha foil do you recommend?
Hey Jedro... is this for prone, winging, what style of riding and conditions etc.? I would suggest for similar efficiency but more glide and rest that the 680-780 will likely be the space, however give me some more info and I'll give you my thoughts. If you're in oz feel free to call the shop and happy to chat ;) Chris
No red stripe, does this mean it’s not a “performance” line. Is that next in the HA line?
Don't believe this is the case... @armstrongfoils can you shed any light?
Please let the expert speak. Too much interjection from the interviewer
Thanks Robadair... appreciate any constructive feedback ;)
