I had alot of doubts when I was younger, but this band and many alike helped inspire me to read the Bible. I won't say they brought me to God. but they put me on the path. forever I am grateful.

People will let you down. It is a sad reality, but it's the truth. The song teaches you to expect this, and to expect to fail others yourself. We are all imperfect. When you expect that people will fail you, then you're not surprised when they do exactly what you expected. It helps with forgiveness and understanding others, and it's a surprise instead the times that people come through for you. In addition to this, it's a great contrasting reminder that Christ will never let you down. So yes, the song is positive in its result.

I'm not a religious man, but I can always appreciate how someone can write with passion and integrate their beliefs into their art. As an Atheist, I appreciate their passion and devotion to an art they love, and so long as they keep kicking ass like this, I'm still going to love their music. plain and simple, I don't see them as "religious nuts". I see them as fellow fans of metal. I think folks should stop worrying about what's different, and love what is the same.

New Testament is where to start as it refers to the Old Testament that you visit once you are more mature in the New Testament so you can understand the stuff you will see that is very metal and appreciate how the father decided to place himself in human form yo observe how his human son represented the law and the commandments to people of the 10 core values and one more that is love god with all your heart and love your neighbor and fellow children of god. It’s amazing. Also get to see a true selfless act of redemption when he went willingly to his death to be sacrificed for mercy upon mankind to create a path for forgiveness and greater patience. You can really see how the father and his children grow together in a family chronicle.

Christians who challenge the idea of God being something other than the loving Father they make him out to be have not truly understood who God is. True, God is a loving Father & savior & redeemer, but he is also our ultimate & perfect judge. This song is practically a "modern jeremiad"--declaring the corruption of the world & the Christian's duty to stay true to God. The Christian does not pick & choose which parts of the Bible are true in order to 'play nice' with nonbelievers. The true Christian respects other peoples' right to choose, AND remains loyal to God, believing that Jesus is the ONLY Way to salvation from eternal damnation. For those who simply came for the music, I respect that; however, one does not fully understand the music if one chooses to ignore the message the artist(s) offer through it. Sure, we all see things differently, but our perceptions do not alter the intentions, actions, & words of others.

Yea i agree you are on to something there, I feel that fire burning more and more. Its a conflicting to feel empathy understanding and love for all these lost souls and i can't blame them for being pulled into that abyss, i am no better i have been there myself. And in that understanding of the sinister nature that has plagued us for so many years it has awoken a restless fire that will reign down like the holy ghost to reclaim what is ours!

Hey guys. I dont know if you'll read this or not but I am a crazy long time fan. I played in my own band that toured with decyfer down, and seventh day slumber. I just wanted to say from one musician to another; you guys are amazing. I dont know you personally but your music has really been a staple in my life now for some time. So much drama now in the comments section that theres really no reason for you guys to even read through them. But on the off chance one of you happens by this comment, I hope it gives you encouragement. I always thought that if my music helped just one person then it would all be worth it.
