Hello everybody! I'm French woman , l'm 38 years and I'm love Metallica since I'm 12 and that will never be changed because the text, the melody and the electrics guitar's sound are amazing! It's so good to have an Great old group of metal like Metallica in there with us for give us the real rock vibrations! Thank you very much Metallica!!!
Hello Laetitia, sympa de voir une fan de 38 balais en France ! Ça ne cours pas les rues ! Moi, ça fait plus de 30 ans (j’ai 44 ans) et je ne me lasse jamais de les écouter.
I remember when Unforgiven I came out and everybody was screaming..."SELL OUT!!!!!".... "THAT'S NOT METAL!!!!!" Well, they've stuck around since the '80's.... now who's laughing!!!!! And some of us have been listening the whole time! To James, Lars, Kirk, Robert, Jason, Ron, Cliff, and even Dave....thanks guys for composing the soundtracks for our lives, brothers!
A mesma coisa aconteceu no Brasil.
I can't forgive them. I can't forgive you. I can't forgive myself. This trilogy brilliantly paints the horrible and painful spiral of resentment. An angry and broken heart starts broadly by blaming the world and then they blame and punish those closest to them...and in the end, when everyone is gone, there is no one left to blame but themselves. I love my Metallica family❤
@hubertbarrett3934 I am awarded no points and may God have mercy on my soul 🤣 touche 🤣 this comment made me laugh out loud because when I reread what I wrote I thought "Meh. Maybe they have a point". Being profound has never been my strong suit 🤣
@hubertbarrett3934 yeah that comment was...odd. that's why i didnt reply. Either way, you still made me bust out laughing because I never take myself too seriously 🤣
Im only 25, and I just want to rest assured you fellows that grew up with this that some of us youngins whole heartedly feel the impact of metallica even today. I will be listening and playing these riffs until im no longer on this earth
I was born 11 years after the first of these songs were released but I still relate to them on a fundamental level. The trauma expressed in Metallica's painful lyrics and melancholic chords resonate with me in an extremely painful but cathartic way. I feel so grateful to them for making such powerful artistic expression that my soul can resonate with.
The Unforgiven- New blood joins this Earth And quickly he's subdued Through constant pained disgrace The young boy learns their rules With time the child draws in This whipping boy done wrong Deprived of all his thoughts The young man struggles on and on, he's known Ooh, a vow unto his own That never from this day His will they'll take away What I've felt, what I've known Never shined through in what I've shown Never be, never see Won't see what might have been What I've felt, what I've known Never shined through in what I've shown Never free, never me So I dub thee unforgiven They dedicate their lives To running all of his He tries to please them all This bitter man he is Throughout his life the same He's battled constantly This fight he cannot win A tired man they see no longer cares The old man then prepares To die regretfully That old man here is me What I've felt, what I've known Never shined through in what I've shown Never be, never see Won't see what might have been What I've felt, what I've known Never shined through in what I've shown Never free, never me So I dub thee unforgiven What I've felt, what I've known Never shined through in what I've shown Never be, never see Won't see what might have been What I've felt, what I've known Never shined through in what I've shown Never free, never me So I dub thee unforgiven Oh-ooh-oh Never free, never me So I dub thee unforgiven You labeled me, I'll label you So I dub thee unforgiven Never free, never me So I dub thee unforgiven You labeled me, I'll label you So I dub thee unforgiven Never free, never me So I dub thee unforgiven The Unforgiven || - Lay beside me and tell me what they've done And speak the words I wanna hear to make my demons run The door is locked now but it's open if you're true If you can understand the me then I can understand the you Lay beside me, under wicked sky Through black of day, dark of night, we share this, paralyzed The door cracks open but there's no sun shining through Black heart scarring darker still but there's no sun shining through No there's no sun shining through, no there's no sun shining What I've felt, what I've known Turn the pages, turn the stone Behind the door, should I open it for you? Yeah, what I've felt, what I've known Sick and tired, I stand alone Could you be there 'Cause I'm the one who waits for you Or are you unforgiven too? Come lay beside me, this won't hurt I swear She loves me not, she loves me still but she'll never love again She lay beside me but she'll be there when I'm gone Black hearts scarring darker still, yes she'll be there when I'm gone Yes she'll be there when I'm gone, dead sure she'll be there? (so I dub thee unforgiven) Oh, what I've felt Oh, what I've known I'll take this key and I'll bury it in you Because you're unforgiven too Never free, never me 'Cause you're unforgiven too, oh oh The Unforgiven |||- How could he know this new dawn's light Would change his life forever? Searched the seas of gold How come it's got so cold? How can I be lost In remembrance I relive How can I blame you When it's me I can't forgive? man the unforgiven triology really saved me dude,i went through a nasty breakup recently and i listened to all three for the first time and let me tell you, that cry is something i needed for the longest time
"How can I be lost when I got nowhere to go/ How can I blame you when its me I can't forgive" Even when I turn 90 years old these lyrics will still hit through the heart. Every time!!!
1 thing is that or sure... it doesn't matter where your from good music speaks for itself. I grew up listening to this song just through pop culture whether it was dana carvey or Matt from mtv. I am a 40 year old African American from Brooklyn and these words spoke so true back then as a child, true music stands the test of time and this aged well. Thank you gentlemen for your contribution.
Best trilogy in music. I want to shout out to Michael cox and his older brother for turning me onto Metallica. King nothing was first track i was introduced to in his driveway. Id bike the few miles to his house as a teen and we'd play basketball while cranking Metallica on the stereo. Miss u Mike hope all is well. Unforgiven 2 is one of my all time favorites
King Nothing and Fixxxer were my first Metallica songs! King Nothing is a phenomenal way to be introduced to them. I started with King Nothing and stayed for Ain't my Bitch 😂
Grew up with Unforgiven I, II & III and the band.. and now with 72 Seasons out, MetallicA has & will always be apart of my life, through thick & thin, through ups & downs of hardships in life just like the band did for the course of their career, they'll always be the hardest working Heavy/Trash Metal band in my book. Hope for many many more awe inspiring songs to come as we all grow old together. ❤️🤘🏻
No one could express his/her appreciation for this Band(Metallica) better than is done in the words written here. We all have deep and expressive feelings for certain bands and the music they make. We know each beat, note, run, the lyrics etc... And we want to keep playing it for everyone. This, The Unforgiven, is very special to so many of us. I think the video should always be seen with this one. Bugt I bet those who cannot see it, SEE better than I do the depths of this One.
Only see this band when I get to close to how I have been told of rong doing and creeped out of my shelf in this picture of how could I be when I see it's me after that has been told of that isn't
Tengo casi 79 años mis alumnos y yo analizamos e interpretamos las canciones de Metallica, Apocalíptica, Guns'n Roses Hasta hoy a mis casi 79 años mi admiración por estos músicos
I was born in Russia in 1995 and this music was a lullaby for me in my childhood. My father was young and listened to them on cassettes. For me Metallica music is my childhood. And now I'm almost 30 and this music is always with me.
The human condition. Some of us live a life we never could have imagined, so much so that the young self was like a different lifetime, completely unrecognisable from who we once were.

The unforgiven songs got me through so many dark times when I was younger, when I felt alone and rejected these encapsulated the exact feelings I had towards the world and everyone around me. As a grown man I can look back and be proud of how I turned out despite of how much hate I had/felt.
Back when i am 14 years and starts to have a passion for metal genre, i loved this song and play it non stop cause i love the music, the culture and the bad ass vibe it gave but now i am 25years i realized i've never really listen to the lyrics, how deep, meaning ful and nostalgic, and accurate it is in many moments of my journey in life. i am so glad i got to witness all of this before any band member pass away. Hope new generation knows what they contributed in especially metal genre and respect these living legends🤘🤘🤘
Same here. I'm also quite young, compared to how long Metallica has been around. Rock is my favorite genre. Old-school or new, doesn't matter. As long as it sounds good and gives me the good kind of goosebumps, yk. I started listening to rock when I was 12 years old. I just turned 21. I'm danish, and i didn't understand the lyrics when I was younger, but i loved their music anyway. And now that I understand the lyrics, i love it even more. I also have a hard time explaining how I feel because I have ADHD, but the genre rock explain everything i ever felt, i just didn't know how to explain how I felt. Metallica did it for me.
@@hailherr ykw, this is exactly why these guys are so phenomenal. We, random people who can't explain what we've been through and how we deal and cope with and all the feelings we have inside which we think no one could understand, but they do. They expressed all that rage, sentiment, curiosity, doubts, and all the bullshit and all the joy with the best Goddamn genre of music 'Rock/metal' . It brings us together, like me and you, thousand miles away, yet i somehow feel connected to you. That's why they so deserve respect. (Not only them, shout out to Pantera, Nirvana, Pink Floyd, A7x and so on...)

I definitely hear these songs in a new light now. I can see how each one represents a stage in life. Songs I liked when I was a kid and had no idea what they meant or songs I thought I knew what they meant until I really learned. Some songs I wish I still knew nothing of.
They are the best band in the world. I've seen them four times. Last time at the Pittsburg Pirates Stadium in Pittsburg Pa. August 14th 2022. I listened and realized what i've always known. They make so much wonderful music. Just the four of them. No background singers. Mostly Papa Het on the vocals. No band will ever take their place. Nothing Else Matters is what i want played at my Funeral.
All I can say is that when they toured with Guns and Roses and played 'One' in RFK, my military brothers and sisters let go so much stress and memories. Thank you guys, helped us lose a demon or two.
Perhaps its more like they get better the older We get. I was a preteen jamming to this song in the 90s. The older I get the more relatable it seems, the more relevant. Now if you can excuse me... I have to tell some kids to get off my lawn.
I found out today that a friend from high school committed suicide. I remember we talked about the Unforgiven 3 in depth when that album came out. He had an electric guitar that he let me play with and it inspired me to buy my own when i turned 17. That was over 12 years ago and I've been playing ever since. Today I listen to this trilogy in his memory. Rest easy Patrick, fair winds and following seas.
The last time I saw a high school friend was at the show at Aragon Ballroom back in the 80's in Chicago. He committed suicide that night. A double rainbow appeared over the funeral home the day of service. I am 57 years old and remember that show like it was yesterday. I feel your pain and hope over time the pain eases for you. Blessings to you and your friend Patrick, having a drink in his honor now.
Long time since the last time i listened these songs. When i was in university, young and wild. 20 years passed away, fired, divorced, ...many worst things happend to me. Now i feel better😊
I'm 132 years old today and I just love Metallica. I physically can not die because of Metallica. I shoot myself in the head every night but I just wake up alive again, please make this stop.
It's all on TH-cam recommend Iron maiden Ghost Obviously metallic Stone sour Disturbed Ozzy Motorhead there's loads the list is endless that's the best thing
Metallica forever. 40 years of metal, trash and incredibles songs like Nothing Else Matters, Enter Sandman, The Kall of Ktulu etc... One of my favorite groups in metal
I really love those three parts of the song. The first part is the best. Also the second one is stand out and the third one is quite melancholic. Those songs are three of the saddest songs that I ever heard.
Unforgiven II Lay beside me Tell me what they've done Speak the words I wanna hear To make my demons run The door is locked now But it's opened if you're true If you can understand the me Then I can understand the you Lay beside me, under wicked sky Through black of day, dark of night We share this, paralysed The door cracks open But there's no sun shining through Black heart scarring darker still But there's no sun shining through No, there's no sun shining through No, there's no sun shining What I've felt, what I've known Turn the pages, turn the stone Behind the door, should I open it for you? Yeah, what I've felt, what I've known Sick and tired, I stand alone Could you be there? 'Cause I'm the one who waits for you Or are you unforgiven too? Come lay beside me This won't hurt, I swear She loves me not, she loves me still But she'll never love again She laid beside me but she'll be there when I'm gone Black heart scarring darker still Yes, she'll be there when I'm gone Yes, she'll be there when I'm gone Dead sure she'll be there What I've felt, what I've known Turn the pages, turn the stone Behind the door, should I open it for you? Yeah, what I've felt, what I've known Sick and tired, I stand alone Could you be there? 'Cause I'm the one who waits for you Or are you unforgiven too? Lay beside me Tell me what I've done The door is closed, so are your eyes But now I see the sun Now I see the sun Yes, now I see it What I've felt, what I've known Turn the pages, turn the stone Behind the door, should I open it for you? Yeah, what I've felt, what I've known So sick and tired of staying alone Could you be there? 'Cause I'm the one who waits The one who waits for you What I've felt, what I've known Turn the pages, turn the stone Behind the door, should I open it for you? (So I dub thee unforgiven) Oh, what I've felt Oh, what I've known I take this key (never free) And I bury it (never me) in you Because you're unforgiven, too (Never free, never me) 'Cause you're unforgiven, too
I first heard this song when I was 16.it was powerful. But now in my older age it holds way more meaning.the grind of life as a low man in construction after many years and not getting anywhere. Like swimming up river and not really moving at all
Im 42 married 14 years, and my wife wasn't born to Rock .3 boys listened to the best rock band on the planet in her belly. Named are 14 year old James after H himself !Now that Rocks .My boys will pass these rock gods to their children 🙏 We must forgive to move forward. I dedicate this song to my Ex-husband. Love you Babe. We went through so much together. I'm sorry for the pain... You are my heart. You shine. Thank you for your service
People hate on the load and reload albums...they say it's soft and not metallica...I call bullshit...those are two of my favorite metallica albums...listen and u will hear how musically talented they are...alot of country and bluesy influences on both albums...but still metallica...
Kids now a days have no flipping clue, that this is one of many groups who gives me them goose bumps and hair stands on end, sticking the fellers in my bones ......LOVE IT,EVEN AFTER IM GONE.
Timestamps: The unforgiven: 0:00-6:20 The unforgiven II: 6:20 - 10:50 The unforgiven III: 10:50 - 21:01 (This is for personal use but feel free to use it too!)
Las 3 partes reflejan una parte de mi vida y mi lucha contra una adicción, hoy con 3 años limpio puedo escucharla y recordar que nada es para siempre y que el autoperdon esla forma más grande de amor que hay en el universo
The first lyrics “New blood joins this earth, and quickly he’s subdued” are probably some of the best I’ve heard. and I don’t know what’s worse, the fact that it sounds epic or that they are understandable
@@codprocamp4690 they started in 81. So. The best is not done. It's just on hold. The black album is the most iconic. But th more they go on. The more the master of puppets album is coming back out in them. Lots of history in this band. But thrash metal will all ways be Metallica. ALWAYS!!!!

The significance could be .... The unforgiven: Can I Forgive the world ??? The Unforgiven II: Can I forgive you ??? The Unforgiven III: Can I forgive me ???

I've seen thousands of enterpreting this song in not positive way, song must be treated as a pill for illness and must be treated kindly and again kindly ❤. Metallica rocks!!!!
I swore I would never feel this way again. But, as peaceful as death is , nothing is like the tug of some alcohol and music! The best energy you'll ever see! Peace✌️ love ❤️ and rock 🤘 into what we become next. It's not what we come from, it's what we teach. Always question, never forget. There is peace in the dirt nap. We all take it.
Wow... such a great listen from starr to finish. I miss Metallica. Don't listen to them much anymore. Seen more now in these videos than I ever realized were in them than I noticed decades ago Thanks for the video!! Enjoyed it!

I love my little bustas

A mesma coisa aconteceu no Brasil.
People always complain about new stuff. Ironically that's a constant throughout history.
This strikes the principle's quote from the movie Billy Madison after the lost dog explanation by Billy...yeah

Very well said.

One of the best legendary heavy metal rock bands...I so much respect,,,

Yes is true
The Unforgiven-
New blood joins this Earth
And quickly he's subdued
Through constant pained disgrace
The young boy learns their rules
With time the child draws in
This whipping boy done wrong
Deprived of all his thoughts
The young man struggles on and on, he's known
Ooh, a vow unto his own
That never from this day
His will they'll take away
What I've felt, what I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never be, never see
Won't see what might have been
What I've felt, what I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never free, never me
So I dub thee unforgiven
They dedicate their lives
To running all of his
He tries to please them all
This bitter man he is
Throughout his life the same
He's battled constantly
This fight he cannot win
A tired man they see no longer cares
The old man then prepares
To die regretfully
That old man here is me
What I've felt, what I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never be, never see
Won't see what might have been
What I've felt, what I've known

How could he know this new dawn's light
Would change his life forever?
Set sail to sea but pulled off course
By the light of golden treasure
Was he the one causing pain
With his careless dreaming?
Been afraid
Always afraid
Of the things he's feeling
He could just be gone
He would just sail on
He would just sail on
How can I be lost?
If I've got nowhere to go?
Searched the seas of gold
How come it's got so cold?
How can I be lost
In remembrance I relive
How can I blame you
When it's me I can't forgive?
These days drift on inside a fog
It's thick and suffocating
This seeking life outside its hell
Inside intoxicating
He's run aground
Like his life
Water's much too shallow
Slipping fast
Down with the ship
Fading in the shadows now
A castaway
Blame
All gone
Away
Blame gone away
How can I be lost
If I've got nowhere to go?
Search for seas of gold
How come it's got so cold?
How can I be lost
In remembrance I relive
And how can I blame you
When it's me I can't forgive?
Forgive me

Mais vous avez tous raison moi a 59ans je suis toujours fan de hard rock mettallica en premier Sandra bonne soirée
Yep I grew up with them also will always listen to them.

Only see this band when I get to close to how I have been told of rong doing and creeped out of my shelf in this picture of how could I be when I see it's me after that has been told of that isn't

Cuando se posee un alma genuina, el tiempo te refina y depura, pero no te cambia!

I was born in Russia in 1995 and this music was a lullaby for me in my childhood. My father was young and listened to them on cassettes. For me Metallica music is my childhood. And now I'm almost 30 and this music is always with me.
These songs hit a lot differently after a lifetime of pain and loss. Younger me did not know what was waiting for him down the line.
If i had known the path ahead of me I'd have chosen a different route.
I dont think any of us did. The path makes the man though.
More truer words has never been spoken, life is fun until it isn't and then it just gets worse.
..and even more sh*t yet to come ! ;-)
The human condition. Some of us live a life we never could have imagined, so much so that the young self was like a different lifetime, completely unrecognisable from who we once were.

Forgive me, forgive me not
Forgive me, forgive me not
Forgive me, forgive me not
Forgive me, forgive me
Why can't I forgive me?
Set sail to sea but pulled off course
By the light of golden treasure
How could he know this new dawn's light
Would change his life forever
How can I be lost
If I've got nowhere to go?
Search for seas of gold
How come it's got so cold?

In remembrance I relive
So how can I blame you
When it's me I can't forgive?

Always such a marvelous sense of comfort, no matter what the mood or situation when i listen to HEAR Metallica. Thank YOU. ( ICY)☺

Oh man. It's an experience like no other. I remember how exciting it was for me when I first heard of them and every time a new album was released it was so badass.
New blood joins this Earth
And quickly he's subdued
Through constant pained disgrace
The young boy learns their rules
With time the child draws in
This whipping boy done wrong
Deprived of all his thoughts
The young man struggles on and on, he's known
Ooh, a vow unto his own
That never from this day
His will they'll take away
What I've felt
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never be
Never see
Won't see what might have been
What I've felt
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never free
Never me
So I dub thee unforgiven
They dedicate their lives
To running all of his
He tries to please them all
This bitter man he is
Throughout his life the same
He's battled constantly
This fight he cannot win
A tired man they see no longer cares
The old man then prepares
To die regretfully
That old man here is me
What I've felt
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never be
Never see
Won't see what might have been
What I've felt
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never free
Never me
So I dub thee unforgiven
What I've felt
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never be
Never see
Won't see what might have been
What I've felt
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never free
Never me
So I dub thee unforgiven
Oh, oh, oh
Never free
Never me
So I dub thee unforgiven
You labeled me
I'll label you
So I dub thee unforgiven
Never free
Never me
So I dub thee unforgiven
You labeled me
I'll label you
So I dub thee unforgiven
Never free
Never me
So I dub thee unforgiven

Thanks,I didn't know lyrics before this🙂
The greatest ,legendary
How could he know this new dawn's light
Would change his life forever?
Set sail to sea, but pulled off course
By the light of golden treasure
Was he the one causing pain
With his careless dreaming?
Been afraid, always afraid
Of the things he's feeling
He could just be gone
He would just sail on
He'll just sail on
How can I be lost
If I've got nowhere to go?
Search for seas of gold
How come it's got so cold?
How can I be lost
In remembrance I relive?
And how can I blame you
When it's me I can't forgive?
These days drift on inside a fog
It's thick and suffocating
He's seeking life
Outside it's hell, inside intoxicating
He's run aground, like his life
Water much too shallow
Slipping fast down with his ship
Fading in the shadows
Now a castaway
They've all gone away
They've gone away
How can I be lost
If I've got nowhere to go?
Search for seas of gold
How come it's got so cold?
How can I be lost
In remembrance I relive?
And how can I blame you
When it's me I can't forgive?
Forgive me
Forgive me not
Forgive me
Forgive me not
I definitely hear these songs in a new light now. I can see how each one represents a stage in life. Songs I liked when I was a kid and had no idea what they meant or songs I thought I knew what they meant until I really learned. Some songs I wish I still knew nothing of.
You’ve taken the words from my mouth dude

Hi I Recommend an Indie Song called 'Have Some Faith In Me' By Robert Nix
Exactly what I would have said now my dad is gone this is something we always listened too when I was a kid...
40 years, tragedy and turmoil, but this band has never broken up. 💞

Metallica have turned into a bunch of cucks to libtards. They have lost their way. That is why you dont hear new songs like these.

Me to they are awesome
All I can say is that when they toured with Guns and Roses and played 'One' in RFK, my military brothers and sisters let go so much stress and memories. Thank you guys, helped us lose a demon or two.
Metallica will always be a part of my heart and soul forever
Couldn’t have said it better myself!!!
yup same
They are like a fine wine, they just keep getting better the older they get.
🙏😥
The last time I saw a high school friend was at the show at Aragon Ballroom back in the 80's in Chicago. He committed suicide that night. A double rainbow appeared over the funeral home the day of service. I am 57 years old and remember that show like it was yesterday. I feel your pain and hope over time the pain eases for you. Blessings to you and your friend Patrick, having a drink in his honor now.
@@KiwiMKE thank you and cheers 🍻
I raised my kids on this kind of music so they know what real music sounds like instead of the garbage played today
Long time since the last time i listened these songs. When i was in university, young and wild. 20 years passed away, fired, divorced, ...many worst things happend to me. Now i feel better😊
Even as a woman, these songs are relatable and relevant. I love how you have all three videos together.
I'm 132 years old today and I just love Metallica. I physically can not die because of Metallica. I shoot myself in the head every night but I just wake up alive again, please make this stop.

God I would cry listening to how beautiful and sad the unforgiven was when I was younger, it definitely touched me.

Unforgiven II
Lay beside me
Tell me what they've done
Speak the words I wanna hear
To make my demons run
The door is locked now
But it's opened if you're true
If you can understand the me
Then I can understand the you
Lay beside me, under wicked sky
Through black of day, dark of night
We share this, paralysed
The door cracks open
But there's no sun shining through
Black heart scarring darker still
But there's no sun shining through
No, there's no sun shining through
No, there's no sun shining
What I've felt, what I've known
Turn the pages, turn the stone
Behind the door, should I open it for you?
Yeah, what I've felt, what I've known
Sick and tired, I stand alone
Could you be there?
'Cause I'm the one who waits for you
Or are you unforgiven too?
Come lay beside me
This won't hurt, I swear
She loves me not, she loves me still
But she'll never love again
She laid beside me but she'll be there when I'm gone
Black heart scarring darker still
Yes, she'll be there when I'm gone
Yes, she'll be there when I'm gone
Dead sure she'll be there
What I've felt, what I've known
Turn the pages, turn the stone

But now I see the sun
Now I see the sun
Yes, now I see it
What I've felt, what I've known
Turn the pages, turn the stone
Behind the door, should I open it for you?
Yeah, what I've felt, what I've known
So sick and tired of staying alone
Could you be there?
'Cause I'm the one who waits
The one who waits for you
What I've felt, what I've known
Turn the pages, turn the stone
Behind the door, should I open it for you?

No, there's no sun shining
[Chorus]
What I've felt, what I've known
Turn the pages, turn the stone
Behind the door, should I open it for you? Yeah
What I've felt, what I've known
Sick and tired, I stand alone
Could you be there? 'Cause I'm the one who waits for you
Or are you unforgiven too?
[Verse 2]
Come lay beside me, this won't hurt, I swear
She loves me not, she loves me still, but she'll never love again
She lay beside me, but she'll be there when I'm gone
Black heart scarring darker still, yes she'll be there when I'm gone
Yes, she'll be there when I'm gone
Dead sure she'll be there...
[Chorus]
What I've felt, what I've known
Turn the pages, turn the stone
Behind the door, should I open it for you? Yeah
What I've felt, what I've known
Sick and tired, I stand alone
Could you be there? 'Cause I'm the one who waits for you
Or are you unforgiven too?
[Guitar Solo]
[Verse 3]
Lay beside me, tell me what I've done
The door is closed, so are your eyes
But now I see the sun, now I see the sun
Yes, now I see it
[Chorus]
What I've felt, what I've known
Turn the pages, turn the stone
Behind the door, should I open it for you? Yeah
What I've felt, what I've known
So sick and tired, I stand alone
Could you be there? 'Cause I'm the one who waits
The one who waits for you, oh
What I've felt, what I've known
Turn the pages, turn the stone
Behind the door, should I open it for you? (So I dub thee Unforgiven)
What I've felt
Oh, what I've known
I take this key (Never free), and I bury it (Never me) in you
Because you're unforgiven too
[Outro]
Never free, never me
Because you're unforgiven too
Oh, oh, oh

[Chorus]
How can I be lost
If I've got nowhere to go?
Searched for seas of gold
How come it's got so cold?
How can I be lost?
In remembrance I relive
And how can I blame you
When it's me I can't forgive?
[Verse 2]
These days drift on inside a fog
It's thick and suffocating
This seeking life outside its hell
Inside intoxicating
He's run aground, like his life
Water much too shallow
Slipping fast, down with the ship
Fading in the shadows
Now a castaway
They've all gone away
They've gone away
[Chorus]
How can I be lost
If I've got nowhere to go?
Searched for seas of gold
How come it's got so cold?
How can I be lost?
In remembrance I relive
And how can I blame you
When it's me I can't forgive?
[Bridge]
Forgive me
Forgive me not
Forgive me
Forgive me not
Forgive me
Forgive me not
Forgive me
Forgive me, why can't I forgive me?
[Guitar Solo]
[Verse 3]
Set sail to sea but pulled off course
By the light of golden treasure
How could he know this new dawn's light
Would change his life forever?
[Chorus]
How can I be lost
If I've got nowhere to go?
Searched for seas of gold
How come it's got so cold?
How can I be lost?
In remembrance I relive
So how can I blame you
When it's me I can't forgive?

Thank you, bro
Yes, thanks!
Thank you,man
Introduced to Metallica in ‘86…..still my favourite band!
A masterpiece without a equal.
Enjoyed it!
Real men don’t cry to this song they weep to it
Grew up with this music and will always love it... it will always live on!
Best band ever. Who says they have to stick to only heavy metal? They guys can do it all and do it all well.
I was born the same year as Metallica.
Bury me in smoke.
I'm a LIFER !
