OMG this song brings me to tears when I hear it. This is one of many songs I really love by Reba. Its so heartfelt and meaningful. Timeless Classics. I wish they still made songs like this today. Who is listening 8/20/2020?
She's undeniably one of the best, but Patsy Cline was a notch (a small knotch) better. I met Reba at the Hinton, Oklahoma, rodeo in the 80s as her song You Lift me Up was just released. She sang the national anthem acapella while sitting on a paint horse. She wore kelly green jeans and a silky burgundy blouse. Her then-husdand Charlie Battles was in that rodeo. I had a radio program and we were broadcasting from the rodeo. After the anthem, she stood on the horse, hopped over the railing to our booth (which was over the stock corral) and we talked and talked some more. She was down to earth and grateful for the attention. Of all the entertainers I met over the years, Reba was the nicest and made it a point to make time for fans. Wonderful from day one.
Reba is and with Kelly they are great together. I've been a fan of reba for years and she is the best and kindest lady atrure lady who put a hat heart and soul in singing and helping others. God bless you reba and happy Thursday xxx💖🖐🙏
NO one can make music as good as reba, no one at that age looks that GOOD. Reba is a role model for all, not just men, not just girls. ANYONE no matter the color of skin, or background, can relate to her songs. REBA is wonderful, with no doubt!
The absolute greatest female country singer ever!!! My girls and I get in my car I’ll connect my phone and we jam out to all of Reba’s music! Hands down the best female country singer!! 🙌🏼♥️
She is very far from horrible or not great now, just everything has aged. Her tone has changed with age and she doesn't sing nearly as much so she's lost some range and skill. This all
Well I for one is getting tired of finding someone to Marry. So after or around Nov 2nd 2021 when I turn 50. I am heading to Las Vegas to Marry myself! 🤴
Grew up with you. Love your music, your voice, love the video music stories. Even those campy movies. I am binging on all my favourite country artists. Don't tell Kenny Chesney or Brooks and Dunn and especially Alabama. Shhh.
I can't judge anyone. But I sure can remember my feelings when this happened to me years ago. You go on but you always remember. Beautiful song. May God bless the memories of things gone wrong.
I try not to be one of those people who bad mouth the singers of today because most of them are very talented. But whenever I hear Reba's songs its undeniable that her talent is on a whole other level that todays musicians dont even come close to. Her voice is just phenomenal.
I remember this tour, this outfit, the facial expressions, this performance so vividly! I was just a child when I first saw her sing this song live, but this has been one of my favorite songs for as long as I can remember. As an adult, I now understand this song and it hits me in the heart every single time I hear it! She portrays the pain of the lyrics so well!!
Wow. Brings back many memories. A girl I used to be very close to introduced me to Reba's music back around '85. Actually, me and her had connected in 1976 for the first time when we were both 19, but I was an idiot and didn't let her know how I felt. Lost track of her until '83 when she and her new husband, moved in next door to my family. Needless to say we ended up spending a lot of time 'hanging out'. Well, that quickly became more and this time I didn't hold back. So we did a lot of things together, even though I'm sure her husband knew. But he never said anything, at least not to me. It all ended in 1988, when one night she was out partying with a couple of her girlfriends, and walked right out in front of a car doing 65. I was shattered. To this day, her memory still haunts me. Lots of guys have that "one that got away", but mine isn't quite the same. She was taken from me for reasons I will never know in this lifetime. Even now, she's there in my thoughts EVERY day, even though my life has carried on. Been married twice since, first ended in divorce and second ended when my wife of 10 years passed from an infection caused by MRSA in her bloodstream (ok, so I've had 2 that were taken from me beyond my control). Anyway, Reba is the one singer that I have ALWAYS wanted to personally meet, although I don't see it ever actually happening. So, I will just have to settle for her music.
I don't remember this song when it first came out and discovered it only when I bought her greatest hits album recently. I am a guy and yet this song makes me tear up every time I hear it. I had a love long ago of many years and this song reminds me of that relationship. I was transferred out of state and that was the beginning of the end of us. We had our ups and downs, but her touch was warm and her kiss was soft. I wish her well, but I think we never got over each other and never will.
I'm almost 45. And I remember this song when it came out. She was new and here voice was at its best! Even before I truly understand the powerful emotion in this song, it moved me.
Ms taylor I do so agree If I were to try out for The Voice A singing competition and I would make it... I would want Blake Shelton to be my coach But i would choose kelly Clarkson because i would want to meet her mother in law.... Reba mcentire.... ha It would be my wish that when I die that Reba sing at my funeral.
Taylor T ,Reba ,just her voice is so beautiful , yet every different song she sings each and every word has so much meaning , Reba is helping me pull through a very bad time in my life , and I can't THANK her enough xx
This song tears me up every time I listen. The lyrics are so true and I miss my former love. Good thing is I don't live in same area, so I don't have to see her with another beau. I try to only remember the good times and not dwell on the bad.
1st time I ever heard a woman admit she throw a good thing away the other 99% would have sang a whole different tune saying how it was all his fault and so now she feels every guy insight. Thank you Mrs. Reba For being genuine. I wish more girls was like you
I mostly listen to Male Country artists, but when this Beautiful Woman hit the stage in the 80's it Blew me away. I saw One of First shows with George Strait, and I've never seen a Better Female Artist since.
I have ALWAYS loved this song. I was 16 when I met my first true love and he was 22 and the moment I laid eyes on him my heart no longer belonged to me, I was his and he knew it. It was wonderful and horrible and everything in between but this is for sure...I WILL NEVER FORGET HIM!!
The most amazing voice thats still amazing!! I went to a concert of her in 1974, before she made it big. I even got her autograph, but someone give it away with a lot of other autograph I had. Wish I still had my collection!
I think this song is awesome! It's a tear-jerker, but she still did a wonderful job on it for sure! "As long as I kept him out of sight, I kept from going out of my mind" is one of my favorite lyrics & I apply that to my everyday life! Ha Ha!
the first time i heard reba she was shinging this song I cried she sure have that powerful voice and you can feel that love and passion she in the love of music thank you Reba to be you
