Maybe, in such a closed society, a straight man (Joseph here, using my sister’s acct.!) isn’t s’posed to like a sweet, gentle, song like this, but damn!, Reba really delivers w/out stretching or bending notes all around. I’ll say it, her vocals jus’ ‘bout make ME cry! Time does fly, but this song ages really well. GREAT work here, Ms. McEntire. Kudos! 👍
Gosh Reba was young here, back when my husband and I listened to every thing she recorded-----then a year and a half ago, I lost my darling, of 57 years. This song speaks to me!
I lost my husband too. Not because death took him, but because he decided to leave me for an old “friend” he said he’d loved “forever”. After 39 years together he walked away to be with her. It would have been easier if he had died.
I played this song over and over and over, wore out the cassette tape (yep that old), trying to make a decision that was inevitable and heartbreaking. Love Reba. She’s sung our lives
Reba is very talented and interesting in every song that she sings and she touches every inch of my heart and soul she is amazing in every song she makes about her life and I love that about her ❤❤❤❤
My heart goes out to you. Yes, there is an empty place in your heart that can never be filled; but I believe she would want you to be happy and have your needs met with someone who really cares about you, if that one comes along. You can keep memories of the past, but at the same time; move forward and let your heart heal. God Bless.
This song and For My Broken Heart both came out when I was blindsided by a divorce...looking at it now..it was a blessing that should have happened years before it did.
Reba was "IT" all of my childhood years. I didn't think much about her until i was about 10 years old. I remember it like it was yesterday. I was at a cookout with the parents and this song came on. It was the first time i had ever gotten cold chills from music. I guess that's odd for that age but i was blown away. The light bulb went off and it hit me...."my God she is great".almost 30 years later and i still get chills when i hear some of her songs. I don't know if there has ever been another female country singer with as much raw talent. Patsy Cline was great, Tammy W, and a lot more. I don't think any of them were perfect like Reba.
Still Look back Reba Collection cassette tape or records or cds or video music on dvd lots great Classic hits songs and albums though years. Those were Golden Days songs on radio stations memories Lane. Thank You Reba
There will NEVER be another Reba in my book! Her audience can relate to her bc she writes about real life, love, trails, and tribulations! She’s always be my FAVORITE country artist by far!?
I learned how to talk again with a tone in my voice in 1988. I had a head injury that made me mute, then a monotone voice. Thank you Reba for giving me a tone in my voice and sending me the cassette tape to replace my broken one and the shirt and the pen pal letters❤️❤️❤️ I LOVE HER HEART and Soul! Thank you Reba!
Anyone else came to watch this because she mentioned it on her Instagram? Hadn't thought about it in forever--forgot it was David Keith in the video, even. Love how literal it all is. Music videos were still a relatively new thing and as far as country music goes, she became the queen of them in the late 80s and 90s!
Reba's videos are the gift that keeps on giving, but her music is still very relatable today. I miss old country like this, Chris Stapleton is the only one bringing it back to its roots.
I agree. I met my true love at 19. Had two years with him. We went our separate ways but as he was a friend of my brothers' we never really lost touch. Fast forward 40 years. He was living in Scotland but came down to England for the shooting. We met up and fell back into our relationship as though it were yesterday. We spent a beautiful year together when he crossed the border. Like we had never been apart. But when the sh1t hit the fan he was nowhere to be seen. I was devastated but eventually came to realise that he did not deserve me. I am happy now that I have opened myself up to real, true love xx
31 YRS LATER AND ITS STILL TELLING A STORY, CLASS, TIMELESS,,,WTF IS THIS SH*T THEY'RE CALLING COUNTRY THESE DAYS...DON'T MEAN TO OFFEND. GUILTY PLEASURE, I DO LIKE Miranda Lambert
Reba hits the heart and soul and of I could just get someone anyone to hear it and take me away from it all and be strong enough to be beside me and help me thru it all. I just need one person just.one to believe in me that I'm not what everyone thinks I am. Which is a broken lost knows nothing and is Alone
Went through a heart- wrenching Divorce. Drugs, Alcohol and Infidelity was never our issue as a couple, but yet is was something deeper, stronger, and too powerful.,, It was just a deep sadness of a loss greater then our love could battle. This song allows me to mourn the Man I once Loved. and remember that it wasnt always hurtful and sad....
Dawn Galletta ,. yes that is so very True !!! but you have to try with each other !! I. do with my husband &. I All thee Time !! good Luck to us All !! thanks again Reba for this touching Song !! Lisa...🎶🎼🎧🎼🎼🎼🎶🎶;-);-)
I love the back story behind this video; Most of it was filmed at a house on Long Island. It rained much of the time which put everything way behind schedule. The final scene w/ her sitting by the slide projector was shot late at night when everyone was worn out.
Reba, I know you can't, or will ever admit it, I miss you every day since the day we parted, you were my greatest love, still are, I still feel it.....after all of these years..
Woody Woodward --- This song is more than sad, it's tragic! To love someone from the bottom of your heart, and yet uncertain as to how far you want to go! Uncertainty killed what could have been a triumph! This happened to me -- I didn't want a one night stand -- I wanted the "real thing" forever! But neither of us had the courage to commit, so that ugly word "through" won out in in the end! The result? We both are now alone and wish we could go back and do what we should have done then!! But it's too late!!
Reba is one of the most amazing singers ever she sends shivers down my spine with that voice of an angel wrapped in emotions It doesnt get any better than Reba I adore her Ive been a fan since day one of het career God bless you Reba
I remember as a young teen, watching TNN and CMT and watching this video when it first came out. Another one of my favs. I've been divorced for 5 yrs. I've found guys that wanna only sleep with me with no real commitment, and I've set my standards higher than that. Thought I finally found a good guy - but he is too wrapped up in his work. Don't get me wrong, a good job is important, but I've never had money and it doesn't mean a thing when his heart isn't in the relationship.
I can remember selling tickets for the Fraternal Order of Police back in the late 70s early 80s for Tom Bresch and yourself you put on a fantastic concert thank you for all of your songs but this one is my most memorable one ( Somebody Should Leave)as I was going through it at that time❤❤❤
Oh WOW!!!! This song brings me back to when i was a kid.. My Mom, Grandmother, would listen to Reba when i was growing up in the 80's. This is one of Reba's songs that came out in the 80's. I love this song. It really does bring back alot of memories when time was so much simple. I didn't have a care in the world back then but worrying about doing my homework or studying to pass a test. Lol.. Oh well, we all gotta grow up eventually.. Peace and prosperity to all of you out there...
I love these old songs of Reba's they mean so much !!!! They make u feel ,they hit home. Not like the songs u hear now on the radio. I love ya Reba u made women's country music and u took to all our hearts ..n that's exactly where music needs to go when you hear it
Thanks for being a great fan of our home country music, seeing Y'all all love keep me going. I PROMISE TO put so much effort to make you proud. How long have you been supporting me.
they don't and may never make anyone that could come in a frogs asses hair of Reba!!! God made her and burnt the copy so no one could Shine over us needing to hear the voice and words she gave and still gives us!!! love her with all!!!
Lyrics: The kid down the street mows the grass every week The neighbor next door fixed the roof where it leaked Job's going fine and the bills are all paid And everyone thinks that I'm doing OK There's a guy down at work, he's asked me out once or twice I haven't said yes but I'm thinking I might And on my way home I thought I saw you walk by If only I could get you out of my mind What in the world am I gonna do about you Oh your memory keeps coming back from out of the blue Oh well I'll try and I'll try But I still can't believe that we're through So tell me what in the world am I gonna do about you What am I gonna do about you I went to the store but it wasn't much fun It doesn't take long when you're shopping for one Standing in line I thought I saw you walk in And that's when it started all over again What in the world am I gonna do about you Oh your memory keeps coming back from out of the blue Oh well I'll try and I'll try But I still can't believe that we're through So tell me what in the world am I gonna do about you Darling what am I gonna do about you
I smell Windex every time i hear this song. I always helped my mom clean the house when I was a kid and she always played this record over and over as she folded clothees and did dished as I want around with the Windex and clleaned the tv and Windows
Its amazing how certain songs can instantly take you back to a particular place/time. When I listen to this, Im back at my former job 20 yrs ago, tuning/testing radios after hours, w/ her Greatest Hits 1 CD playing on my laptop. When I hear Lynn Anderson's Rose Garden, its 50 yrs ago, and Im riding w/ my Mom on my way to visit my Grandma who was in a nursing home,. Cheers :)
l LOVE this song that I first heard on the US base radio in the region of northern Italy where I was born and raised. I used to sing it and loved hearing my voice reach all the notes and felt the emotion of the song even before learning the language I know and love. Angela Italy
This was the best era in country music in the mid 80's. The sound was perfect and it is hard to put into words what I am trying to say. This song and many others at the time is this really good mellow feel to them and these great songs have aged very well over the years. This video is beautiful and the biggest then was MATURITY. The country songs back in 1986 were about real things like love, heartache and when a artist sang a fun song they did it well and sang about something everyone could enjoy. Nowadays the industry is shot and every artist sings about sex and alcohol and many other silly stuff. This is why the 80's is looked at now with such greatness because back then the singers and record execs knew what they were doing.
My heart goes out to you. Obviously, you had a really great relationship - not that common those days. If she loved you as much as it seems, she would not want you to put your life on hold forever. But you can't rush things either - take your time, and grieve, talk to her, even thought she'd not around in the physical world. Her spirit is still with you, and always will be. She would want you to be happy, right? Don't think you're dishonoring her memory by enjoying life - your new life.
There is no more country it's all gone thank God for Reba and one that are still putting out good times people are going to miss not knowing what good music is thank you
Maybe, in such a closed society, a straight man (Joseph here, using my sister’s acct.!) isn’t s’posed to like a sweet, gentle, song like this, but damn!, Reba really delivers w/out stretching or bending notes all around.
I’ll say it, her vocals jus’ ‘bout make ME cry!
Time does fly, but this song ages really well. GREAT work here, Ms. McEntire. Kudos! 👍
It's hard to believe this song is 35 years old this year. It will always be a classic. I will always love Reba McEntire's music.

Sorry for your loss. Hugs & prayers your way.
I'm sorry hope you are okay
My wife and 2 kids were killed in a car crash drunk driver hit them
Dene Belden I lost my husband also I so understand
I lost my husband too. Not because death took him, but because he decided to leave me for an old “friend” he said he’d loved “forever”. After 39 years together he walked away to be with her. It would have been easier if he had died.

Me too she's the best ❤it.
I would just be happy sitting on the front porch of that beautiful home.
97.7 Hank fm plays the older country songs and I love it. I wish country music was still like this.
I played this song over and over and over, wore out the cassette tape (yep that old), trying to make a decision that was inevitable and heartbreaking. Love Reba. She’s sung our lives
Hello Jeanine.. how are you doing?
I heard that.
Reba is very talented and interesting in every song that she sings and she touches every inch of my heart and soul she is amazing in every song she makes about her life and I love that about her ❤❤❤❤
When you lose a love. Yep gone, never goes away if it was real

This song and For My Broken Heart both came out when I was blindsided by a divorce...looking at it now..it was a blessing that should have happened years before it did.
Hello Lynne how are you doing!!
Divorce is always painful ! I feel your pain...
I think Reba recorded "For My Broken Heart" to honor members of her backup band who had died in a plane crash.
Reba was "IT" all of my childhood years. I didn't think much about her until i was about 10 years old. I remember it like it was yesterday. I was at a cookout with the parents and this song came on. It has been a year since i left. He was an alcoholic. I loved him. Still think about him. Miss you Paul.

Love is like a flowing river and never asks to flow.
Love hurts so bad

This is one of Ms. McEntire's best. It is a great song -- true of many people I have known -- and she delivers it impeccably.

Hey there! How are you doing this beautiful day?
Hi Julie, hope you’re okay?
She puts an amazing amount of emotion into her songs and videos. Not many people do that anymore. She's amazing.
So sad, but so true. Some of today's country artists, it's hard to relate to their songs. Most of them are pretty good though.

God damnit. Someone cut the onions. I feel this one quite hard. Because I lost my grandmother last year due to a heart attack. I miss you granny.

Lyrics:
The kid down the street mows the grass every week
The neighbor next door fixed the roof where it leaked
Job's going fine and the bills are all paid
And everyone thinks that I'm doing OK
There's a guy down at work, he's asked me out once or twice
I haven't said yes but I'm thinking I might
And on my way home I thought I saw you walk by
If only I could get you out of my mind
What in the world am I gonna do about you
Oh your memory keeps coming back from out of the blue
Oh well I'll try and I'll try
But I still can't believe that we're through
So tell me what in the world am I gonna do about you
What am I gonna do about you
I went to the store but it wasn't much fun
It doesn't take long when you're shopping for one
Standing in line I thought I saw you walk in
And that's when it started all over again
What in the world am I gonna do about you
Oh your memory keeps coming back from out of the blue
Oh well I'll try and I'll try
But I still can't believe that we're through
So tell me what in the world am I gonna do about you
Darling what am I gonna do about you

But you can't rush things either - take your time, and grieve, talk to her, even thought she'd not around in the physical world. Her spirit is still with you, and always will be. She would want you to be happy, right? Don't think you're dishonoring her memory by enjoying life - your new life.
There is no more country it's all gone thank God for Reba and one that are still putting out good times people are going to miss not knowing what good music is thank you
She will forever be with US!! I love me some REBA! Always and forever!
