Learn How To Ride A Motorcycle! This Is The Hardest Part To Teach!
ฝัง
- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 10 พ.ย. 2023
- How to ride a motorcycle for beginners. It's my nephew's second lesson and it's time to switch gears. I'm not sure how to teach someone how to know when it's time for them to change gears. The motorcycle doesn't have an RPM tach or shift light and that's good because I don't want him to depend on it. It's important for him to learn to shift by the sound and feel of his motorcycle. Today we learn upshifting and downshifting. Join us for lesson two.
If you're interested in learning how to ride a motorcycle I suggest you take a motorcycle course to be properly trained by a certified instructor.

Two lucky young men having a uncle teaching them to ride. Now they don’t have to wait till they are 54 to get their first bike.
I was just saying that. Because in our culture it’s super rare. I never subscribe to channels but I did it. To send a message of how impactful this is and to Salute the participants.🎉🎉🎉
hey! 54 is better than 55, still very lucky. enjoy your ride~~~
Love how you spend time with your family and teaching them how to ride. Also you have some of the best videos. He look like he got the hang of it.
Thank you, he wants to ride my Harley but he's not ready for that yet.😁
He's gonna be thinking about this day forever Tall!.. Great memories for both of you!. God willing he'll be able to ride with the rest of the family in five or six years. Awesome job young man & Tall. Blessings 👍🏾🙏🏾😎
Tall your a awesome teacher. I know he is going to do great with you teaching him.
Thanks, David, I appreciate it.
Maaaaann! He put me to shame! I got my first bike yesterday and dropped it within the first hour! Way to go!!!
Me too 😢
Awesome to see him back in the saddle. I have been riding for 35 years I have NEVER looked at a tachometer to change gears. I have always done it by sound.
The best thing about being a Total Control instructor is watching someone go from never riding any motorcycle ever to watching them riding around the lot an hour later. Building the future of motorcycling ❤️
Alright great job 👍👍
Ready for lesson 3, slow tight turns for balance.
Robert Simmons type training.
Also get the other nephew started ASAP.
And God Bless you too...
Peace
✌️🙂
He needs some miles under his belt before we get into that. He has no problem leaning or turning, I want him to get comfortable on the bike. He's taken to it like a fish to water. It's In his blood😁
Thank you for being a great teacher .i wish someone showed me that way .awesome keep up the good work .
You should ride along with him and have him match your speed.
I think I will next time.
I watched video #1 and this one. Both are absolutely great. i am a beginner. i have my endorsement, but i am always learning. the only thing i would tell a new rider i dont think he did was drive with your eyes.Where you look, your bike will go.I understand its a parking lot he was riding on, but once on the road its very important not to fixate.I stressed that to my step son to keep head up and where you look your bike will go.He ended up hitting a tree and broke his shoulder,he apologized,i said honey we make mistakes and we learn from them.❤
Awesome, teach them early . Keep up the great work. ✌️❤️🙏
I wish I could get him out on a country road and let him ride. I rode all over the place when I was a kid but things are different now.
60 year old non rider here from New Zealand. Thank you so much for your wonderful video. You have obviously inspired and encouraged 2 young lads with your excellent tuition.... you have also inspired me to get some gear and some lessons. Thank you again.
Yes sir 🎉! I see him being a Jr. Ambassador for Be The Boss of your motorcycle (Robert Simmons)
🤣He's more likely to be at the drag track!
We already know… 😂 slow speed is not in y’all blood! You are a great uncle and the pride on your face was priceless!
Congratulations lil' fella, keep practicing and we will see you ....on the road...oh yeah... keep gliding and have a Blessed Day
Thank you so much for PT 2.. I'm taking my motorcycle class in a few weeks again.. This video helped me A LOT!!
He caught on quicker than did when first started to learn. Down shifting got me more then anything when I was learning. He definitely won’t regret learning, being on a bike is totally different and a lot more relaxing and freeing than a car
Little man is awesome, great uncle.
He's a natural Tall. I love it! ❤
Keep this going. This young man is awesome. God bless you all. Does my heart good.
I’m a proud mom for you kiddo 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💪🏽 keep going 😊
Learned a bunch with this guidance. Brilliant teacher
Great job brother. U are a great teacher. I like ur patience and calm demeanor. Ur giving him confidence its awesome.
I am happy for him, this is excellent, what a great job. Thank you.
I watched both part one and part two, and these are by far the most thorough instructional videos on teaching a beginner to ride a motorcycle. I’m still itching to get my first motorcycle.
Awesome. Good job.
Thank you
Another fantastic video. I can’t say enough about how good you did teaching that young man. You gave him enough practice to gain confidence and he took right to it. I’m gonna be using this video to help me teach my own son and daughter. Thanks for your hard work.
Great job, Tall! I have two grandchildren that I want to get started on riding.
I really like hearing you teach on how to ride a motorcycle. I'm just learning myself. Thanks
Dang! Tall I don’t think I could have done a better job teaching those nephews of yours, awesome job and congrats to them for listening and doing as well as they are doing at such a young man’s age, Great content there Tall.
Awesome seeing you teach the kids to ride! There is a huge church parking lot by me where I taught my son to ride. He got ride around the islands in the parking lot and road coming in he could get into higher gears. Im about 20 min from bootlegger. If your interested let me know I would even video for you
I’m a 50 year old f man and it’s on my bucket list to learn to ride a motorcycle. I wish you could teach me
Tall is the cool uncle. I was wanting to see Tall sit on that little bike.
KEEP GLIDEING
Tall my man, ive always explained shifting gears as to making the sound of a motorcycle in ur head as if ur a kid.
Once he gets use to gears, he can learn the obstacle course like the MSF - figure 8's, short - stops, etc.
Best way to raise kids that value life and God's blessings is to spend time with them!!! Family matters and love cures/builds real men!
Great way to learn and great advise. Take him for a ride on your bike and have him listen to when you make the shifts. The best lessons I learned in motor school were look where you want to go, cover the clutch always and keep your head level with the horizon. So awesome to watch.
Thats awesome! Great way to teach them young. I did the same with my grandson on a dirtbike. 👍
That's awesome
Ty Traveling Tall. Greg did good job at bootlegger training me until I dumped the bike in the class. Left leg was swollen so bad that I couldn’t shift or bend my leg. This is helping me on shifting. I’m definitely still getting a Harley street Glide or a Ultra. I’m in Knoxville, Tennessee. Greg had said that I caught on fast tho. I’m still not scared !!! Never scared!!! Cam
He did Great! Nice bike too! Uncle Tall doing WHAT ALL UNCLES SHOULD DO 🎉
Awesome man! Turn that head and place them eyes where u wan the bike to go
Thanks for watching
Outstanding teaching and I can see the love of family. Keep setting an the example.
Now with the basics, he can learn a lot by riding on the back on your bike… learning gears, shifting, rpm’s, entering corners, and dealing with traffic…
That's awesome. Love seeing new riders get good coaching/teaching.
Excellent Information! Thank you Sir!
What a great teacher and a wonderful student ! I love this ! 🍃❣️🍃
Good job, I am learning too through the boy
Lesson #3 I would like to see you (Tall) on the mini bike riding next to him coaching him on when to down shift depending on how the motorcycle sounds. And when to start slowing down and down shifter when your coming up to a curve. Hopefully that made sense.
That's a good idea but I thought it may be a distraction for the viewer because they would be laughing at me on the mini-bike. 😁
@@TravelingTall use your helmet camera set up another camera on a tripod. Would make for great content.
Your great teacher, i think you should let him on safe closed course DRY CONDITIONS see what happens if you down shift to low going to fast, i say that because that's first close call i had on bike, down shifted going little to fast in puddle of water unluckily enough and almost lost it lol
You are a great teacher ❤
Nice job man, I’m ready to teach my 19 yr daughter 👍🏿
You are the good teacher,I am also starting
Great job and very nice first bike, it helps. I think stopping the bike smoothly at a decent higher speed, pretty much like in the road test, controlled braking and of course to never tailgate, maybe some cones set up to obstacle course him at slow speed, ✌️👍
Wauu enjoying the lesson
you doing great. fyi, most mc manuals {that comes with bike}tell you at what speed you should change gear ,they don't go by rpm
Awesome ride safe and enjoy
Great job!!!
For lesson 3 I'd like to see him hold his lane in the curve.
Awesome thanks
He did a awesome job
He did great
Awesome job young one
I would like to see him practicing U turn from stop.
Great job brother😊
I wish you lived near me. I need lessons. Im about to be 40 this year and I always wanted to learn. My boyfriend says he will teach me but I don’t want to argue hahaha so outsider would be best 😀 IMO
Get him out on a race track. That way you can go in fourth gear and it’s not on public street.🏍️
Lol, he wants to go racing 😁
Id love to see wheelie practice next episode 😂
Love the video your a great teacher with some cool nephews who are blessed to have you, I asked in the part one video but that was older so I'll ask again in this one, I'm a 61 year old woman who does more than the average man am I too old to ride?
Great video Tall! Congrats on the feature in this month’s Harley Magazine also!
I didn't know I was featured. What magazine was it?
You are featured in this month’s Harley catalog. Great pic of you with your bike.
I wish i could high five that kid myself
Tell him about the Friction Zone.
I kept hoping we’d get to see Tall ride that lil motorcycle. 😂
Nephew got taller since part 1
Next, maybe while continuing to practice shifting, teach him right turns, then progress to u-turns and figure 8s.
How is J3 doing on the Kawa Davidson?
Why not follow the MSF course of instruction. Slow speed skills i.e. u turns, swerves, figure 8 emergency stops. They teach that in 2 days to beginners with no experience.
Okay, question. You said, never pull it while it’s in neutral, always pull the cluck in? Does that always happen when you first turn the bike on?
While riding the bike, Is it safe to shift the gear to neutral and release the clutch?
I thought you had to be in a high-speed to go to 3rd
How does one sign up for lessons with you?!
Need Gen👍🏿
How can I contact you guys am called Joel Tumwebaze from Uganda Africa
🇰🇪❤
