Stranger things inspired jazz lofi waltz with Roland J6 and PO-133

- I was flipping around the genre chord sets on the J6 and landed on this jazz one and it matched my mood, feeling more like a "walk in the early morning sun" rather than the "sitting with a book late at night" vibe I've been on. That's why I decided to record it in the morning ☀😃
The feeling was partially inspired by yet another brilliant @CNTRRNDM kit (try guess which one!), when I loaded up this one, in the beginning, I was actually just walking around the house doing stuff listening to the original patterns CNTR had included, it was just that enjoyable.

It’s like you stumbled upon an old sampler once used by Thomas Bangalter before he became part of one of the greatest electronic bands in the world...dunno, it feels like you're playing what he programmed into it😁 what I mean is...this one has this Daft Punk vibe but with a unique twist...especially with those drums and the overall feel...I'd say, out of all your recent jams, this one's my favourite! Regarding the kit, I'm not entirely sure🤔...it has a kind of gritty sound...so maybe one of the Dirty Breaks ones? The one that came with one-shots? Maybe?🙈🤣

Heya thank you mate! Haha well it wouldn't be a strict definition, the off kilter drums gave me that kind of feeling, and calling it a waltz seemed more poetic than calling it off kilter 😅

Thank you! I had to check again, but yep, pretty sure I was running through the reel deal pedal into the shallow water pedal for this one 👍
@@Warmsynths Sweet, thank you for checking and responding! I'm loving the Shallow Water just about everywhere I hear it, so I was wondering if this was another place (and another reason to get it). When you say reel deal, do you mean the small tape preamp only pedal or the larger one that's tape preamp and vibrato? (I'd include links to them, but I'm pretty sure TH-cam would block my comment if I did.)
@@SonicCartography honestly it took me a little while to get used to the shallow water but now I can't live without it! Yep just the preamp pedal, not the dealuxe with the vibrato, I figured I had enough stuff to make sounds warble so I saved a little money 🤑
@@Warmsynths haha yeah, and more warble on top of the Shallow Water might induce sea sickness, so it might be for the best. Anyway, cool, I'd never heard of the other pedal before, so I'm going to check it out more and add it to my list of gear I want / reasons I will never own a house... Anyway, thanks again!

Yep you are right, I did not connect them, mainly to avoid more visual clutter. I tried setting both bpm to the same and then practiced starting the drum at the right point, seemed to work out ok haha Thanks mate!
