  • Today Bill gets into his feelings and gets a little vulnerable while wearing his huggies. We talk about the difference between Bill and Chris and their mindset when it comes to getting smashed. They are on two different sides of the spectrum and they talk about how to deal with the feeling of just not wanting to do the hard round. Also we touch on common things that hold us back and slow our progression down.

Thanks Christian, that means a lot. It's definitely not always easy talking about the "taboo" stuff or things that might make us look a certain way. But it seems more people deal with it than we might think! Even black belts.

I have never gotten that one, but I will take it. As long as I don't morph into Tim Sylvia, I am good.

BJJ BA is real. Getting harder with every rank.
But the reward of shutting it down and go get tough rolls even from lower belts is very rewarding experience.
It’s funny how I feel like it’s absolutely okay for me to go toe to toe with higher belts or even catch them at times, but I hate the thought of my “belt peer” or lower belt doing it. Especially if it’s a positional domination.
P.S. If I ever commit suicide, the note will say “I was a rest round.”

I find this to be so odd. I do it also, unfortunately if I have a good round with a fellow Black Belt that usually beats me up. I don't even celebrate the growth or positive moment. It is so fleeting. But if I get rag dolled... I am on Epstein watch for a week.

I’m a white belt still grinding to get my first submission. Hard to stay motivated sometimes. I just have to tame my inner bitch!

They will come! Oddly the enjoyment doesn't last, once it happens you will be happy and then just be waiting for the next lol

Become impossible to sub first. Or as close as possible. Then become impossible to pin. That will mean your escapes are on point. Makes you a great and frustrating roll for higher belts.
