I love how when fujitora was 'slashing' he didn't exactly 'slash' but moved them out of his path with his gravity fruit. It really defines his character alot. He'd an admiral who doesn't kill for sake of it in name of justice. He values life.

He was based off the Japanese folk hero Zatoichi who was also blind and hid his sword in a cane and used a reverse grip.
I love how the music that plays is Kizaru's theme song, the same as when Kizaru arrives in Sabaody and that plays when he destroys the supernovas, another Admiral's theme song, indicating who this character really is.
10 years and we still know very little of Fujitora
Something tells me Fukitora is definitely inspired by Zatoichi's swordsmanship.

The best admiral so far... And probably one of the strongest. I personally believe kizaru is the strongest. Though green bull is probably as strong if not stronger than fujitora. But fuji is the best. He takes action, not passive like aokiji. Kizaru is plain corrupt.

Judging from his appearance, & personality not to mention his swordplay I believe it's safe to assume that Admiral Fujitora (a.k.a Issho) is from Wano country in the new world which is a country based on feudal era Japan and its Samurai warriors.
Consider what we know when analyzing Fujitora.
#1.) His clothing, behavior, & personality all seem to confirm that he's from a country based heavily on Japanese culture.
#2.) All the warriors of Want we've seen so far such as Kanjuro, Ryuma, & Kinnemon are skilled swordmen.
& Finally
#3.) Most of the warriors who've left Wano possess Devil Fruit powers(although they believe it to be a magic curse.), & They all possess Haki of which Fujitora also possesses.
That's a cool taught, but unlike them he doesn't add the endings in the words, like the minks do or the others in wano. And the world government doesn't have any authority in wano so making a foreigner an admiral doesn't sound right. But sure he could have his roots there
nice thought agree with that he should be originated from Wano kingdom based upon his strength, looks, and personality. we will see in the next few chapters hopefully
Hi im from the future, your predictions are all wrong
1. Fujitora doesn't just crush them because it establishes he has lethal sword-fighting skills that are tied to his gravity powers, and that he has rigid a moral code. Important because of the later revelation he isn't a career navy soldier, but was drafted in at the rank of admiral. As the series establishes that the Navy Admirals are much more just powerful Devil's Fruit users, and of course, they are called upon to be ruthless killers when needed.
2. Fujitora doesn't crush them to establish his personality. Did ya'all miss everything they did about Aokiji leaving the navy. How the characters said it was terrible becuase the Navy's voice of reason leaving? How it was a problem because Admiral Kizaru is a sadist, and Fleet Admiral Akainu is brutal? But Fujitora demeanor is established as calm, (potential) voice of reason, while being being distinct from Aokiji. See, his wry interaction with Luffy at the end of the scene where you realize he knows who Luffy is. He doesn't act till he learns that the thugs threatened Luffy. When he acts, you see his ruthless and confident warrior, as is he just calmly strolls through the intimidated thugs.
3. It shows, rather than tells, how his blindness affects him. Not in battle. Not when gaming. Makes you wonder about his character. Perhaps an weighty back story, might be coming? Maybe explaining why his sword-fighting and DF power is connected? You think?
4. It shows how his Devil Fruit power works. It demonstrates how he can affects the gravity. We see how he can affect the force of his attack with great skills, by gradually increasing the change in the gravity. It also shows him as a character who has thoroughly mastered how to use his power.
5. Sitting there is not good television, and manga is not anime. YOu don't establish drama, tension, and action the same way.
I could go on. This isn't a reach here. These are just the fundamentals of good television. So many fans of the show, so desperate to point why this show is so much worse than what it actually is. Don't get it.

Everyone complaining and comparing this with the manga. The anime is so close to the manga that's why they keep adding scenes that fill an episode. Plus, I think it's just the way for the animators to show Fujitora's sword skills even more.
