For me it’s not just the destruction itself but the implication that the country is being wiped not just off the map but from the very history books itself, with the gorosei planning to rewrite history again. It’s one thing to be destroyed, but to be forgotten is something else entirely. Like what hiruluk said about how people only really die when they’re forgotten.
It's probably because we are shown the reasons for Why it is being wiped and shots of the citizens in it, plus the higher ups acting like such a country never even existed in the first place.
Because the build up and implication of the entire scene is insane. Most shows desensitize you to it by mindlessly having scenes like this all the time, but when it happens in one piece the build up and narrative around it is insanely well constructed. Oda is a genius in storytelling

@@Kyonari Lulusia you say?! never heard of this.
This isn’t a joke. Imu is the only devil in this world
The Buster Call usually takes place over the course of at least an hour right? This... this took place in less than a minute.
I like to think Buster Call takes place for an hour because they gave chances to run away. Like they can do it instantly if they wanted to.
@@cycosist5156 That's a nice sentiment... but it's unrealistic. The whole point of the Buster Call is that there is no escape, everything is supposed to die. The reason it takes so long is because the technology it utilizes is kinda primitive. The Mother Flame is just the next step in the Buster Call's evolution.
1:35 this silence terrifies me
Seeing this scene makes me wonder, of there any chance that Oda always tied the story into real world. There is talk about hasbora and Nimbus project on what happen to you-know-where (on current genocide that happening today. ) Its really almost similar.
Wonder if Imu and Dragon will end up fighting.
A dragon, against a god. Well, that could be interessting.
"You may fire when ready."
2:34 "Force of nature" scenes like this are so good at conveying power and awe. Storms are awe-inspiring, but when it was made by the power of a person, it's even more terrifying.
Imagine the damage ancient weapons can deal if just a copy made by vegapunk could erase a kingdom in an instant ...
"yo bro wyd in this situation"
the situation in question: 1:35
Better than every marvel movie combined in 3 minutes
W comment
Yes because Disney is a terrible company isn’t it?
Corporate Jew company
Marvel is NOTHING compared to One Piece.
Mcu I can agree with, but marvel in general? Idk bout that, I’d argue both the spiderverse movies along with raimi Spider-man 1 and 2 are all top tier
this is one of the ancient weapon
-Pluton = (Technology) Giant Battleship that can travel everywhere that Thousand Sunny model on
-Poseidon = ( Voice of All Things ) unique Ability to talk ,heard or communication to any animal like Sea king (base on Haki) and a few has ability like this like Momo ,Roger ,Luffy ,Shirahoshi,,,etc
-Uranus might be a giant ufo that need mother flame to power it ,also why the only Imu can use it because he/she is an alien
Underated!
They did this scene so well!
Thats the real use of starlink for
Nerelon Imusk XD
I'm obsessed with this scene, and if this is just the anime, I don't REALLY wanna know what is happening in the manga, ODA is just a genius.
Well, for begginers , it turned out the Gorosei are much more than some old bureaucrats
Even the current episode of the anime is still the begining of egghead
As someone who has read the manga, I can tell you that we are still only at the Tip of the iceberg, Currently, with the amount of Lore Drops and events, Egghead arguably is better than Wano.
I will show luffy vs imu😅
That flying thing is Uranus powered by the motherflame
Man this is so much better than in the manga

0:06 your welcome they’re looking at us
Lulusia? There's no proof that such a thing even exist.
The end war for this show is going to be insane
I would kill to create the words to say how much legendary it is... The next One Piece perfection
One piece and the word perfection should never be in the same sentence
Chills, actual chills
It was very nice of Sabo to pause and give that marine time to cut his transponder snail off
After 20+ years of holding off, I'm finally going to watch One Piece because of this scene.
Ok
I recommend using One Pace, which fixes a lot of the issues the anime has, which is mostly the pacing
i hope luffy finds out about all of this quick so i can see some real rage towards the real bad guys its been too much fun'n games lately i need to see him get serious.
Came back to rewatch this after the latest manga spoiler drop.
You're all going to shit your pants.
Who thought in 2015 that one piece would go this level of animation??
Not me
