🍸Roseberry Mule Mocktail
Recipe by: Tasty ⮕ tasty.co/recipe/roseberry-mule-mocktail
Ingredients:
• 1 handful blackberries
• 1 sprig fresh rosemary
• 1 tablespoon agave nectar or honey
• 1 bottler ginger beer, to taste
• 1 ounce lime juice
• Ice
Instructions:
1. In a cocktail shaker or a tall glass, muddle blackberries and rosemary.
2. Add sweetener and ice, shake until well combined. (If you do not have a cocktail shaker, simply pour back and forth between two glasses until combined.)
3. Strain mixture over ice and add ginger beer and a squeeze of lime to taste.
4. Garnish with blackberries and a sprig of rosemary.

"Of course we'll buy queen size beds for our kids they can keep until they graduate!" Meanwhile, I was sleeping in a twin bed until I bought my house at 28.
That’s honestly normal. Only in America do people somehow think a twinbed is only meant for kids, not for teens or adults. Grew up in the Netherlands and we all slept on twinsize bed until you are using your bed with another person. So for me it was when I got married 🤷🏻♀️ I’m in the state now and it’s shocking how many of my kids friends who btw are all under the age of 8 have queen size beds 😂 I told my husband. We ain’t doing that, the kids will survive being on a twinbed
I think because in the US the houses are way larger than in other countries so it kinda makes sense because they have so much space. Plus if you have out of town guests there's more bed space lol.
twin bed through college is normal in US. after that, it's not, because most people expect (or at least hope) to be sharing their bed at some point and it's considered weird/childish/advertising-your-celibacy to not.

I recently saw a video where Dave Ramsey said "if you were born on third base that doesn't mean you hit a triple." If you have wildly successful parents, just embrace it. Good for you!
I grew up upper middle class, and now we are making $500k/year. We know a LOT of wealthy people with shitty spoiled kids, so we are doing everything we can to make sure that doesn't happen to our kids. They are 6 and under now, but we try to teach them good money habits. My wife and I plan on not telling our kids about our financial situation until they are 18+. We just try to give them a normal life, where we tell them "no" 10x more than we tell them "yes" 🤣
I've known multiple people born to wealth that fell apart and have not much to nothing now. Where you start impacts you, but doesn't determine your results.
@@Joenzinator it’s just the work ethic, attitude and gratefulness you instill in your kids. We’re doing well too not like you though 😅 but we don’t spoil our kids either. Spoiling can happen at every financial situation. I know many poor people that spoil their kids too. I think also spending enough time with your kids is key. Both in low income and high income families it seems they choose not to be with their kids much, which contributes to the entitled and immature behavior.
Producer Lindsey has the best laugh. I found this show a few months ago and I’ve been catching up on all the episodes. I have to say I love George and Rachel, but Lindsey’s laugh really makes it. It’s contagious!
I have not had a credit card for 16 years and have been able to do and go wherever I want!! Also bought our family vehicle with cash, used. And man. It’s the best feeling when you hand over that cashier check and walk out and it’s done. No payments coming to haunt you the next month!! Freedom!!!
My credit score is 822, and I have been using credit cards for a decade, no issues. Always have paid statement balance every month. I just started not using my credit cards this February. Quite different and it does feel I have a firmer grasp on what I spend. I think it will be better.
Wow 16 years that is awesome! How do you keep your debit card safe when making purchases in person and online? Has your debit card ever been comprised?
I feel like keeping it safe using it in person isn’t hard anymore with chips and stuff. And online. I just use trusted sites. I’m not a mega shopper so it hasn’t been an issue. And you can walk into your bank and get a same day replacement card if needed.

@@leilacavender4066 Not only that, but I've heard you get the same protection (per Dave Ramsey) anyways. There are daily limits you can set to protect too.

My kids went straight to a queen bed. (Identical twins, one bed for both) because it's the bed that was already in their room when they moved out of our room. It saved us from buying a couple beds that they would have grown out of within just a few years. They are 8 now and still sharing. I expect they will for several more years.

I was just explaining this to my husband; I’m good without a dog. I like dogs but I don’t wanna be attacked everytime I walk in my door. I’ll love on yours but I don’t want them wrecking my house & jumping all over All of us

I’m like you Rachel, I love dogs but I’m ok not owning any. I like to spoil other folks’ dogs/puppies but then I don’t want the responsibilities ha. Enough as it is. Already have two boys and a hubs. And we do have two fluff butt silkie chickens (sweet hen and a rooster, her protector 🥰) outside in a coop hubs built with all materials already had to save. And because only two, their organic chicken food lasts like 7 months so super cheap overall. And it’s our boys’ chores. But yah, I think many love their dogs but naturally they do come with more stressors and responsibilities period. I know a mom who said they have 3 dogs inside with 3 kids and her and hubs, I mean that’s a circus 🎪 ha. But I’ll pet and love on pups for sure. It’s like being a gma/pa where get to spoil the grand baby then give them back to mom and dad 😆

Slept on a twin until I bought my own queen at 25. Never understood why a toddler needed a queen
All 3 of my young kids have queen beds. It's so when we have guests everyone has a nice bed, and the kids can just share one.

How often are you replacing beds and frames/headboards? My kids go from crib to queen bed because they can sleep on them through their teenage years.
I have a beagle and love visiting with other people's dogs.
My 6 year old has had a queen bed since she came out of the crib. My mom found an incredible deal on a bedroom suit before she was born, but had nowhere to put it so she gave it to us. So my kid's queen bed cost me zero. It will be a huge gift for her tho because she can take it with her when she moves out.

She said yes, they just hold the price & $200 above.
She did mention how credit was 'bettet' because it can take up to 2 weeks for the extra to be returned.

My toddler has been sleeping in a queen sized bed aince she was 6 months old. It was the bed my husband and I used for years before she came along. I'm a baby step 3 pediatric occupational therapist, of course I'm a frugal and ergonomic queen in all ways! 😅❤

My sister has a 2 bedroom apartment. The second room had the queen bed from her old space so it eventually became my niece’s room and she got a queen bed as a 3 year old. I didn’t get my first queen bed until I was 30. Sad I know.

Our 2 year old sleeps on a queen bed. It’s our old bed and works great because it doubles as a guest bed. When we have guests he just comes and sleeps with us.

Half the kids I babysit these days sleep in a queen bed that their parents used prior to getting married. Or they sleep in the guest bed because they prefer it over their twin bed lol.
My daughter went straight from a crib to a queen bed and friends and family thought I was nuts and made fun of me except my wife. She's about to turn 15 and guess what, she's still in the same bed and will be till she moves out. No wasting money on dumb purchases just because everyone thought that's what you're supposed to do.

Baha, we just got our kids a queen mattress. Unfortunately, all the fun kid sheets are in twin and full, so it was not a great idea. Would go with a full size if I had a do over

I’m 5’7” and grew up with a full and my feet hung off it when I was a teenager! I’d never ever buy a full.
Instead of buying plastic organizers I reuse small boxes I have received.
We did twin XL beds for our kids for the same reason lol. I mean that's what the dorms have!
Cast Iron pans are all I use and would never go back to stainless steal or any other frying pans.

When you get a 0% (or really low rate) car loan, it usually means that you gave up a rebate that could be thousands of dollars. Pay cash and take the rebate!

I have a question, I’m on step 2/6, my car loan interest rate is fixed and lower than my mortgage interest rate (Australian we can’t get fixed mortgages) so which do I pay off first? Part of me goes well even if I just pay normal payments on the car loan it will still be paid off sooner than the mortgage? Thoughts?
Lower amount of debt is first always, you don't really pay attention to interest rates with Dave ramsey's plan, but I say do what feels best to you

I like how they always conveniently leave out that manual underwriting costs thousands more in fees and your interest rate will also be higher than traditional financing. They should be more transparent instead of leaving that part out.
It can be done, but it’s a pain. Plus, there other ways to build credit without have a credit card and it’s probably cheaper then going through the process.

Even as an adult, being able to afford paying cash for a new bed, I went with a full size. When I married, we got rid of my husband's queen bed for my full sized bed.
Why is that you prefer sleeping more cramped? I prefer sleeping in a king as a couple, more space to move, I could not imagine two full grown adults preferring to sleep in a tiny bed, but to each their own.
Net worth millionaire is a bit of a misnomer - just look at Dave's story of net worth millionaire to bankrupt because a note got called. Liquid net worth is a better measure than some equity in a house.
