Not all of these watches are to my taste, but I feel that's what makes your collection great. You clearly don't have "brand allegiance" and just buy what you like, regardless of resale value etc. I respect that and wish more of the watch community did the same. Great video!
Thank you! Also, thank for sharing your thoughts. It is true, that I like to get what I like. I just don't see the point in buying because other people like it, if it doesn't appeal to you.
@@watchgrok I’ve done it with my own collection at times. I’ve felt overly concerned with it having “order” or a theme and elected not to buy watches that I genuinely liked because they wouldn’t “fit”. Life is too short to rob yourself of enjoyment. Buy and wear what you want.

Cool collection, good journey. I like how you are very honest about appreciating a watch but not connecting with it. This is something we all experience, and we only know this once we’ve had it for a short while. Like your views. One very good thing you do: You put every watch on wrist and let us see it. That is crucial for understanding the size and wearability, so do continue to do this. Thumbs up!

Hello buddy. Really nice collection , for me that I live in Brasil is so hard to get one of this watches , I have tissot Prx that is my main watch . In the other Hand great video and taste ! :)
Insane collection! I had the Laureato blue dial 42mm for almost a year. Ended up selling it because I was trimming down the collection and something about it seemed to just not wear right on me. Recently got a cw12 blue dial and it’s an incredible watch for the money and I’ve finally found my issue with my old GP. It was just a tad too big. Even with a 7.25 wrist I felt the dial was just too big. If they ever make a 40mm model I’ll be first in line.
Just found your channel and really enjoyed this! Have you thought about trying a watch with an enamel dial? I’m thinking Anordain (used as their waiting list goes into 2029!) or Vitreum - a Danish micro brand that makes pieces with stunning dials. Due to the enamelling process each watch is a piece unique which is pretty awesome. Interested to know your thoughts, could be something different/new to complement your fine collection. Cheers
Thank you! I did look at Anordain, their dials are gorgeous and really awesome to look at. Not sure it’s my style though. I did get to meet people from there at a watch fair and they explained the whole process and how the dial is actually smooth, but looks textured. Thanks again for the kind words, and I will keep a lookout for enamel watches to see if anything catches my eye!

@@unnamedhero5111 that is correct! It is a 21mm strap.
Nice collection. It seems you ve also learned what you like and not like
Thank you! Yes... It's been quite the journey and learning... slowly but surely.
Your best looking watch is your Tudor
Thank you!
You re off to a fast start in collection watches.
Haha yeah… kinda got carried away last year 😅
Nice collection but i think you have too many tudor and one GP is enough i think add VC and a reverso its cool aswell and fit to your collection
Thank you! Haha, I do like my Tudors, but it's a fair point. Great recommendations! I'm actually waiting for an Overseas and the reverso chrono. :D
Fantastic collection! But I notice you went straight for luxury brands lol, not seeing a Seiko or Casio makes me feel a bit strange…
Thank you! Haha, I sort of went backwards… I’ll post another update later this year, but I picked up a G Shock and a few microbrand watches 😝
@@watchgrok you still did tremendous, you clearly were buying what you liked and you didn’t always care about hype. It’s super well-rounded as well. Most collectors would be jealous unless they’re elite! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
@@Friends_and_fragrances haha, thank you! I have indeed been buying the watches I like. I have started to hone in on what I really like and will probably consolidate my collection in the future.
I don’t understand how someone can spend large amounts of money on something that they later say doesn’t convince them or that don’t know if they’ll keep it in their collection or not, with all due respect, it seems to me that you have to be pretty stupid like buying something to not use it because it has things that you don’t like. Don’t you see it before you buy it? It’s good to see these videos to realize the stupidity of some people.
Thanks for watching! It’s all a part of the journey of collecting watches. Sometimes you may be enamored initially, but for one reason or another you don’t connect, or your tastes change as you move farther along that road. I’m glad to hear that you are one of the few who always loves anything they buy and never changes their mind. I wish you well!
Seems like you have been at a ravenous pace in your collecting .. great collection.
Haha... a ravenous pace indeed. Definitely have slowed down as I have refined my taste! Thank you!
Love the dark side of moon.
I do too! It’s a really cool one
2:21 idk the blue looks nice but somehow it just looks to monotone, they should have added a splash of other colors, at minimum to be 3 colors in this case, some orange or red or yellow accents, seconds hand tip maybe some writing
I would have to agree with you. I actually removed this piece from my collection. I’ll do an updated SOTC at some point.
@@watchgrok I have the same issue with the blue certina ds action diver
Iwc? Panerai? Breitling?
Great suggestions! I will keep an eye out.
Love your Watch collection ❤❤❤
Thank you so much!
Gp Aston Martin for the win ❤
It’s an absolutely gorgeous watch!
Don't get me wrong, the YatchMaster is a beautiful watch, but for some reason it gives me the vibe that it's like an Invicta knockoff of a Submariner!
Haha, it is a beautiful watch! I would go see one in person, maybe it will change your mind 😝
@@watchgrok oh I've seen it, my coworker has one. The precious metals make it shine and look expensive, but on pictures and videos looks like a Invicta knockoff 😂
@@marcozuleta133 Ahhh I see what you mean lol. It does look much better in person! :D
I'll buy the PRX.
Thanks for your interest! For all inquiries please reach out to watchgrok@gmail.com!
Ahh to be super rich. 💰
Haha, I just like watches… 😅
You have all these watches but it sounds like you don't know anything about them except that you like/dislike them
Haha, I am still very relatively new to the watch collecting space! I am learning everyday about the mechanics, the horology, the history of not only watch making but also the brands themselves. It's been a very fun journey and I look forward to continuing to learn!
@HumanAction1 exactly!!
Wtf your AD came through after a few months on a panda daytona!?
Haha yes, but I had a bit of spend history with the AD already. I think the fortunate thing is they were able to get me the 116 generation!
@@watchgrok to be honest i dont mind the new one. In a bit of a beggars cant be choosers POV there though. Been collecting for 12 years, way before the hype, but unfortunately it’s spread around a few different ADs and private purchases so no great spend history anywhere! Trying, to get what i want, but won’t buy what i don’t to get there
you have too many nice watches to know so little about watches...
I knew even less a year ago! It’s been a wild and crazy journey for me and I’m learning every day!
These are beautiful watches, in and of themselves. But not lot of soul here. When you love every watch, you actually don’t love any watch.
I think over the course of my journey I have started to hone in on what I really love. So there will definitely be pieces that I will move out to make room for others.
Dude you’re loaded
Thanks for watching! I have been blessed, definitely, and hard work can go a long way!
Well, you must be single and you have a good amount of money available, that you can spend on watches.
Haha, not exactly… just a very understanding wife 😅
no personal taste... just buying hype watches.
Thanks for the feedback! I've definitely evolved in my taste as I started collecting and I've honed in on what I like more. While I do agree I have picked up a few hype pieces, but I don't know if I'd say they're all hype watches 😀
You kidding keep your tudors get rid of the rest
Haha, I do love my Tudors!
Unoriginal and uninspired :(
Alas, each collector has their own taste. Curious to hear what is in your collection? Love to learn about other people’s taste
@_guillermo I totally agree with you
Lose the GP. Watches terrible watches
Thanks for looking! Curious to know why you don't like GP watches?
Yacht master is incredible!
Yes it is!
