Aww thanks love! The idea is to have a sofa bed in the office space so guests can have their own little space and bathroom. Possibly even two spaces there since Marcus' office has a closing door too. Reservations are planned to start from spring 2024 😉
Not really, we’re gonna do most of the work ourselves and the house was built in 1994 so the structure is really solid so only cosmetic fixes on the house itself really :) the cabin/shed needs a bit more love but that is a much smaller project at least :)
The more rooms are in the house the better. I would never remoove that wall to make one large space. It is not easy to heat a big room. Anyway... Thanks for sharing!!

We used the Swedish site hemnet.se to find this place, but we had very specific search criteria as we knew we wanted some really secluded with some land. I think we were really lucky to find this so quickly. Although if you go further north in Sweden I think it’s possible to find really good properties similar to this one for cheaper, it is very location dependent I’d say. We loved living in the UK but it was time for us to leave for the woods and we haven’t regretted it for ones second 🥰

We have 3 ha of land. Proximity to cities and communities also play a huge role. We’re in the middle of the woods but we’re only 5 minutes from the store 😬🥰
Only a 5 minute drive actually, it’s a small one but enough for what you need really. Although we often drive about 10 minutes to a bigger store with a bigger selection :)

This is another country with different rules and regulations. A guy who got a house up north changed all the windows without checking rules first and had to put the right windows back.

Ours was around 3,6 million SEK but that is mainly because of the location, we’re in the south and close to “bigger” cities and airports. Further north you can definitely find good houses for that money.

They definitely are! Houses are much higher quality in Sweden as well, we moved from a London rental to this and we’re so much warmer and drier here.

Not at all :) I quite enjoy it, they are small propeller planes and it’s only for an hour here and there so it’s not all day every day :)
