I always loved the fact that this Zone was literally named what it is: "Gimmick Mountain."
You have rotating Scrap Brain platforms, conveyor belts, moving platforms, mine-carts, you name it. It's honestly pretty funny, to me.

It took me forever to find this stage's emerald as a kid. The screen crunch of the gamegear made an already obscure path even harder to find.

Man, it was same with me. I looked every nook and crany in this stage for the emerald. I was so surprised when i found the secret passage that i screamed so loud. 3 big surprises that day,
1 - the secret wall
2 - silver sonic laying down the last emmerald
3 - the last stage
it was so rewarding. like a dream.
Kids today do not strugle anymore. On the first sign of dificulty, look for google.
