Not gonna lie, I didn't immediately recognize this when it played, but as I heard Johnny's voice start to break through the orchestra, I was like "damn." ALL HAIL SHADOW!
I remember when we got symphonic versions of character themes.. like symphonic his world in 06 or symphonic endless possibilities...i missed the symphonic boss themes like this
Neo Devil Doom: "Behold, Shadow. I have gained even more power and a new form you've never seen before! You are doomed to serve me and- Why do **I** hear boss music?"
Back in the day, Shadow needed to go Super to beat Devil Doom. Now he's thrashing him even in his new Neo form with ease. Sure, the Doom powers may help some but 1, they boost Doom too and 2, those powers can 't compare to Chaos Emeralds.
I also believe that Black Doom hadn't finished recovering from the first beat down that Shadow gave him. And there's the fact that Shadow has been developing his skills, while Black Doom was just recuperating his physical form.
What’s with generations versions of Dreamcast (yeah I know shadow the hedgehog wasn’t on the Dreamcast, but the graphics don’t fit the modern era) bosses not needing super forms to be beaten
I think i heard somewhere that shadow and sonic keep getting stronger overtime, which explains why shadow didn’t need to turn super in this fight (other than him having new abilities) and im assuming it applies to sonic not needing to go super against perfect chaos in sonic generations
I am so glad I was as diligent as I was about avoiding spoilers before playing the game, because when I heard the first few seconds of this riff during the fight, I felt a childlike excitement that I haven’t felt since I was a kid watching a walkthrough of Shadow’s route in Sonic 06. I literally screamed from hype in the living room, bro. Game of the year
Honestly I don't know if I would prefer I AM (All of Me) or this as a the final boss theme. Both of these songs are absolute bangers. But I guess All Hail Shadow is the more heroic theme, so it makes sense they picked it.
I personally think All Hail Shadow fits better, given it signifies the resolve that Shadow gains to carve his own destiny at the end of Shadow 05. It's like the destination while I Am All Of Me is the journey
"Splendid, Shadow! Truly SPLENDID! You really are my finest instrument! A testament to my bloodline! See yourself as what you truly are!!" "I'm NOTHING like you. I have surpassed you!" This goes hard man.
Other people gush about how good the song is (for good reason), but I want to talk about my connection to this song and Sonic in General. I grew up on the Sonic SATAM cartoons on Netflix on my Wii, Skylanders was the game series for me, and I was a happy kid. I always looked up to Sonic, a carefree soul guided by wherever the wind takes him. I wanted to be like Sonic. He was my favorite character, up until my Uncle died in a train accident 3 years ago now. When I picked up Sonic X Shadow Generations for my Series S, I knew I would have a good time. Little did I know that Shadow would become how I see the world. He lost everything when Maria got shot, his best friend, his home, and his father. It wasn't until SA2 where he was freed and worked for Eggman to destroy the world for revenge. Any was able to remind Shadow his wish to Maria adn saved the world. He then had a crisis with the Black Arms and eventually saved the world again, regaining his memories and becoming a Hero. In Generations, he almost had a relaspe with Doom Powers and it's Maria who reminded him l, he broke free and defeated Devil Doom, and i felt like Shadow in that moment.
The reason I said "I" defeated Decil Doom because I often project myself on the character I'm playing as, as if I was the main character in the story. Could it be escapism? Possibly, but that's beside the point. I see myself more as Shadow than Sonic, a true hero, and autistic. Look at Sonic Prime and tell me with a straight face that the Chaos Emerald is NOT Shadow's comfort item.
I love how the final boss song is a remix of all hail Shadow. A song that plays during the Hero ending credits. It's so fitting because Shadow knows his path. His destiny. He is a hero who will protect this world to the very end.
I can't believe this game is real, everything in this game is either great or good imo. The ost is also great as always, I can't wait for the album to release.
The drums and guitar sound thunderous! I made a Crush 40 style track called Chaos Control inspired by Open Your Heart and Live & Learn, check it out if you guys like Jun Senoue/Crush 40.
I really like the themes of the hedgehog bois (Sonic, Shadow, and Silver) because they're just so damn fitting It Doesn't Matter (both versions) is kind of a reflection of Sonic's personality and how he carries himself. He does things because HE wants to and HE thinks it's the right thing, not because someone told him to. He doesn't care what people think, because it's his life to live. Dreams of an Absolution is a musical retelling of Silver's tragedy, his suffering at the hands of Iblis, and how he intends to fix things at any cost. And finally, All Hail Shadow is basically Shadow's hype-man music. The song tells you just how powerful Shadow is, especially now that he's learned to let go of his past trauma. He's more than his past. Like Sonic, Shadow doesn't follow his "destiny" (obeying Black Doom) and does what he believes is right. And what he believes is right is to honor his promise to Maria until the end. Shadow himself said it best in both '06 and Shadow Generations: "If the world decides to become my enemy, I will fight like I always have." "I am Shadow the Hedgehog. This is the destiny I choose!"
Definitely the GOD of remixes for this otherwise ironic song. Felt so weird in Shadow’s game that this was the “Hero” song, but now it fits Shadow after the hell he’s been through
1:26 to 1:52 is just a piece i didnt know i needed to be added to this. This is beautiful and encapsulates a lot about shadow. It just feels like hope, adoration and love. From Maria, Gerald, and ill even argue for Shadows present and future companions (mainly rouge and omega. Screw segas mandates). Like maria said, even though he may not know how to express his emotions, he has a big heart.
I wish he said "This is who I am" Before he threw the doom spears. Would have been so perfect. "I am Shadow the Hedgehog! I decide my own destiny! THIS is WHO I AM!" Or something written better then that. Imagine it.
This is what I've been waiting for this whole time a game and story that helps shadow overcome his past. This song signifies that his character is done and can only grow from here on he found the meaning to his life that he's been searching for. Oh and as a shadow fan (Since adventure 2) as soon as I heard the lyrics I couldn't help but act as if I was with him on his side. ALL HAIL SHADOW!
Just like some others, I was totally expecting I Am All of Me like the original Shadow the Hedgehog. I think this was such a great decision, because I Am All of Me would not fit Shadow’s character at the end of this story. I think remixing it into an orchestral arrangement was genuinely really amazing and the whole fight was pretty good! This whole mode was a step in the right direction, and I appreciated the characterization of Shadow a lot here. I still think having Never Turn Back creep into the final scene would have been awesome but that’s just me.
I Am All Of Me should have played during the Doom Morph platforming half of Devil Doom for nostalgia's sake. Sure, you can put it in yourself, but you also lose this remix of All Hail Shadow in the process.
This means so much people might just think that it’s a cool song, but they could’ve used. I am all of me, which is what I was expecting. I totally thought they were going to use all of me but instead they. Used his main theme from sonic 06 because they knew that that moment at the end of that game when they version of this song plays is one of the best part of the entire series. This means so much and I love this ending. I feel like they could’ve had more, but I think this is, the best sonic game ever made
While Shadow Gens was mostly a nostalgia trip I don't mind it this time around since they actually went back to zones we hadn't seen in damn well 20 years almost in some cases
I got so happy when I heard this song, I thought it would've been a new theme or I am all of me, but this will forever be shadows best song and theme ALL HAIL SHADOW!!
Honestly im okay with that cuz Shadow was made DURING the Crush 40 era, so its HIS soundtrack that should get revamped with them not Kellin, and thats coming from someone who LOVES sonic frontiers' soundtrack
1:27 this part just screams to me some kind of speech from Shadow that goes something like “I am not your puppet, Black Doom. I am Shadow the Hedgehog, the Ultimate Life Form board aboard the ARK with the purpose of bringing hope to humanity! THIS IS WHO I AM!!”
So this is the same vocals from the 06 version, just the instrumentals have been altered right? I dig the new track, but I don't get why they don't let Crush 40 redo the vocals for this or what I'm made of?
Sometimes if something works, you don't need to change anything. While i do understand trying to create something to express the moment, All Hail Shadow is pretty much the best way to describe that battle.
I fully expected a remix of I Am All Of Me (it is quintessentially Shadow, lets be honest), but this has *so* much more weight to it that this could have been the only real choice
It was representative of the amnesiac shadow seen in Heroes and Shadow the Hedgehog 2005. This is the theme of Shadow the Hedgehog as he is now: confident in who he is, and especially in his power
Since it's going to take place during the SA2 game/story, we are probably getting Live and Learn (hopefully) but i won't lie this was beautiful to hear when i got to Neo Devil Doom
This song relies on the idea of Shadow being a hero. You can't have a story where Shadow is trying to destroy humanity for most of the runtime then put this song
Shadow is my favorite Sonic character he's so cool I love Shadow Generations it's so good!!! I love how is brings SA2 and Shadow the hedgehog to give Shadow a backstory that all fits together and it is so good!!!
"WE ARE ONE AND THE SAME!!" "I am Shadow the Hedgehog. This is the destiny I choose. NOW! TO END THIS!!" "I crafted everything up until now! And yet! You deny me!!" "HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!" "Shadow . . . you . . .AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!"
even if all hail shadow isn't my favorite shadow theme, I still accept it if it means we're getting back a shadow that is closer to his 06 depiction and it's amazing that shadow is finally getting a triumphant heroic version of his theme like sonic almost always had for final bosses
Imma be real honest, when I first got to this part of the final battle, I genuinely thought I heard "I am Shadow!" and I popped off at the mishear. I genuinely thought it was such a sick reinvention of the song. BUT IT'S STILL SO FUCKING PEAK DON'T GET ME WRNOG.
If I didn't known how old this song actually is, I'd say it was purposely made for this game and boss fight. Hell, a part of me wants to say the entire game was built around this very song.
All hail shadow remix is a banger I love it bro and perfect song for the final boss in Sonic X Shadow Generations or should I say Shadow Generations that theme is officially now stick in my head
I knew it wouldn’t happen, but I really wish that we got a remix of Magna-Fi’s “Who I Am”, the cut song from Shadow 2005. Oh, well. We’ll just have to wait for someone to mos the song in.

I remember when we got symphonic versions of character themes.. like symphonic his world in 06 or symphonic endless possibilities...i missed the symphonic boss themes like this
Neo Devil Doom: "Behold, Shadow. I have gained even more power and a new form you've never seen before! You are doomed to serve me and-
Why do **I** hear boss music?"
“Your neo form is nothing, *I AM THE BOSS BITCH.”*
Well, he did have the one emerald.
Shadows doom form is akin to his potential unleashed. I'd say shadow could take SS1 sonic.
Can we all appreciate how well the lyrics fit this game? There is no possible way that could have planned this, but fate smallered upon them!
Game of the year
„God, I love latinas“
-Shadow T. Hedgehog
@@somethingcleverandwitty567 Very well put.

Aw man I smiled so hard when I recognized All Hail Shadow was playing.
Heroes rise again, indeed!
BOW YOUR HEAD LOW! ALL HAIL SHADOW!
"Splendid, Shadow! Truly SPLENDID! You really are my finest instrument! A testament to my bloodline! See yourself as what you truly are!!"
"I'm NOTHING like you. I have surpassed you!"
This goes hard man.
If the world decides to become my enemy…
I will fight it!
"If The World Chooses To Become My Enemy, I Will Fight Like I Always Have"
I love how the final boss song is a remix of all hail Shadow.
I really like the themes of the hedgehog bois (Sonic, Shadow, and Silver) because they're just so damn fitting
It Doesn't Matter (both versions) is kind of a reflection of Sonic's personality and how he carries himself.
I fucking screamed when i played it and when the lyrics kicked in
When you're fighting the final boss and the song sings your name, you are the final boss.
THIS IS THE BEST VERSION OF ALL HAIL SHADOW, YES EVEN THE MAGNA-FI ONE
The moment I heard this song I started screaming.
This has truly been...
*_The Year of Shadow!!_*
Hearing this song...makes me feel *_FEARLESS!!_*
Definitely the GOD of remixes for this otherwise ironic song. Felt so weird in Shadow’s game that this was the “Hero” song, but now it fits Shadow after the hell he’s been through
Was kinda hoping for a I am all of me/Throw it all away remix for this but fits with the game's message
this kinda fits better i am all of me was when shadow was a bit reckless this is him letting go of his anger and becoming a hero
@@veerun_ae I mean he already was at this point.
THEYRE COOKING🔥🔥🔥
AND WE DEVOUR IT !
I wish he said "This is who I am" Before he threw the doom spears. Would have been so perfect.
"I am Shadow the Hedgehog! I decide my own destiny! THIS is WHO I AM!" Or something written better then that. Imagine it.
Dude that would hit so HARD
I actually SAID the words and was disappointed when Shadow failed to say them himself
In this house we hail Shadow!
I mean, no shit Shadow Gens is a nostalgia trip, Generations in general is a nostalgia trip
I got so happy when I heard this song, I thought it would've been a new theme or I am all of me, but this will forever be shadows best song and theme
ALL HAIL SHADOW!!
Been a long time since we had a crush40 final boss music
L for those who wanted a new vocal track by Kellin Quinn
Either way this is a W
I didn't. And I didn't expect a nostalgia rehash to come up with anything new anyway.
@@TheDen-ec9xe Bro did not play the game.
@@arieson7715he’s got a point
Honestly im okay with that cuz Shadow was made DURING the Crush 40 era, so its HIS soundtrack that should get revamped with them not Kellin, and thats coming from someone who LOVES sonic frontiers' soundtrack
Imagine if they got Kellin in to sing this..but then again, I don't know if his voice necessarily fits.
It’s not a phase MOM
"SHADOW WHAT THE SHIT I MADE YOU I THOUGHT WE WERE JUST GONNA GO TO CHUCK E CHEESE!?"
"Welp them's the breaks."
Snapcube dub has destroyed black doom for me
He is now shadows biggest fan
Thats why he loves radical highway so much
So this is the same vocals from the 06 version, just the instrumentals have been altered right? I dig the new track, but I don't get why they don't let Crush 40 redo the vocals for this or what I'm made of?
It's hard to improve on perfection.
Sometimes if something works, you don't need to change anything. While i do understand trying to create something to express the moment, All Hail Shadow is pretty much the best way to describe that battle.
honestly I'm not sure johnny can do it quite as well these days

I fully expected a remix of I Am All Of Me (it is quintessentially Shadow, lets be honest), but this has *so* much more weight to it that this could have been the only real choice
It was representative of the amnesiac shadow seen in Heroes and Shadow the Hedgehog 2005. This is the theme of Shadow the Hedgehog as he is now: confident in who he is, and especially in his power

Since it's going to take place during the SA2 game/story, we are probably getting Live and Learn (hopefully) but i won't lie this was beautiful to hear when i got to Neo Devil Doom

This is how it needs to be All Hail Shadow in a begging since it appears in Shadow the hedgehog as an discard soundtrack
Who I Am is the discarded song. All Hail Shadow plays when you finish True Hero.

"I crafted everything up until now! And yet! You deny me!!"

even if all hail shadow isn't my favorite shadow theme, I still accept it if it means we're getting back a shadow that is closer to his 06 depiction and it's amazing that shadow is finally getting a triumphant heroic version of his theme like sonic almost always had for final bosses
Shadow can finally put the past behind him...
The only thing that would make the final boss even better is if Shadow at the end took of his inhibitor rings.
Gerald said he would explode if he did but I hope we get to see him without them again some time
Ah ok. Thanks a lot
IT'S SO GOOD TO HEAR THIS SONG AGAIN. THIS TIME, THE REMIX VERSION!😊
