SSI definition - sir duration of surgery is 30 , but exception for breast surgery , implants , cardiac surgery duration will be 90days

CT should be ordered before lumbar puncture to exclude raised ICP as this may lead to the disastrous 'coning' herniation.
In subdural empyema, LP is avoided; early surgical drainage (± antibiotics) is the standard of care
