    I was an OR nurse for 13 years. Left 12 years ago to do healthcare IT. Now wanting to return to my first love. Watching your videos has really been helpful in refreshing my old knowledge as well as clarifying things I only had baseline knowledge of. Thank you so much for all the time and energy you dedicate to this.

    This is by far the best lecture on general surgery, simple and easy to understand. Thank you so much! Any chance you can please cover neurosurgery?

    Thank you, Thank You, and yes Thank You!!! Finally someone who brings everything to the table that's surprisingly relaxing and exciting all in one. You have the teaching gift that comes naturally with ease. I can't thank you enough for making a complexed subject such as Surgical Technology easy to learn! You explain things well like, WHY things happen or WHY in surgery they will be doing this or WHY the body does this along with helpful pictures (like the gallbladder is like dish soap) that make learning stick!!! I'm so grateful you are on TH-cam and I'm excited to watch all your video's.

    I don't usually do this, but I just want to come here to thank you. thank you for the time and the hard work you have done with these lecture videos. English is my second language and I enjoy the way you teach, I watched all your videos without them I don't know how I would pass the NBSTSA exam. Thank you Mark Sowers, keep up the good work. and God bless you.

      😆 Maybe because I also have an engineering background, and probably approached the subject from that perspective. 🙂

    Mark, I'm a retired dental hygienist looking into surg tech as anew career. May i ask how stressful and physically taxing the profession is? I already have some upper back issues from huddling over patients all day for 20 years. Will surg tech exacerbate my discomfort? Thanks so much for a reply!

    • @SurgicalCounts
      @SurgicalCounts  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi George. Good question. I don't know if it will exacerbate your current discomfort, but it will likely give you all new discomforts to deal with. Expect to be standing all day. Many techs suffer from lower back, knee, leg, and foot discomfort. I started this career when I was 45 and I found it to be quite challenging physically.

      @@SurgicalCounts Thank you so much for what we referred to in the Navy as "good gouge." I think I will look elsewhere for a new career... Once again, thank you for the reply/info!
