Legend Of Winning Read my other comment and try to explain yourself for making such a hateful video. Blake Griffin is still a top player in the East. He is definetly top 10 if not top 6 in the East with Oladipo, Kyrie, Greek Freak, Embiid, and Kawhi being better than him.
I can’t lie lmao aye that intro was HARD AS FUCK !! It got me hyped when the video rewinded & the beat dropped had me thinking it was and 1 mixtape type shit great video bro
Actually it did. Outside of Detroit his star status has massively faded. He was in TV commercials all the time and was a mega star. Of course he's still a great basketball player (inuries messing up this year) but he's no longer one of the big draws or huge stars the league has. People used to go to Clippers games for Lob City and to see him dunk. When the Pistons are on the road fans aren't pounding their keyboards to scrape up tickets on stubhub so they can see Griffin.
Blake’s style of play combined with his proneness to injury was what ultimately led to his underwhelming career. He’s still a great player, but he’s gotten to the point where he became a jack of all trades type of player and can revive his career by pursuing a draymond-esque role for his team
Anthony white despite his loss of athleticism (as a result of his injuries)his game was actually at its best last season. Could actually shoot, there is no superstar in this day and age who is just athletic.
His handles are average at best, his post game is pretty good but not really better than a lot of bigs, his shooting has been abysmal especially the last few years and dont even say defense and blake in the same sentence. I'm not sure entirely how his game is expansive when most of his best skills are at best above average
Anthony white Handles isn’t passing, he has shot better than he used to, and my final question is how does he average 20 ppg in an era dominated by guards if he doesn’t seem to have good post moves or any skills according to your analysis? The only reason why everyone hates Blake is because he is overpaid now and was seen as the reason the Clippers didn’t advance in the playoffs despite carrying the team against teams like the Jazz and then losing the series after getting injured or having his teammates get injured. He is still top 25 if not top 20(probably a reach) but we have to stop hating players like this and with Wiggins too. This was the only season that Wiggins really did super bad in. We need to appreciate what these guys do and stop player hating these guys who actually put up numbers while praising players like George Paul who puts up 8 points in the close out game vs Utah
this is the best NBA channel on yt. no question about it. I watched every single video on the channel and found them all interesting even when i did not agree with you, LOW. great great job
Josh I think it's fairly obvious, 1 on 1 when Blake is running with the ball nobody can stop him, only his own system can by clogging the paint and having a easily guardable offensive scheme but if you have your center being a threat from the 3 that creates so much space for Blake to work his magic.
jojoprocess PG was top 3 in MVP voting last year for a reason, if you didn’t believe he was a top 10 player last year it’s either you’re biased towards a group of players or you’re a fucking idiot kid

you dont know how good an athlete is until after their career is over. Watch, in 2030's everybody will say how the 2010-2020's were the best years in NBA history.
Griffin is the same as a ton of other players we've seen in NBA history. Explosive and talented player in his 20s, but also a guy who overly relies on his athleticism. As age and injuries start to catch up, there's a couple years of decline. The stats may be close to the same, or slightly lower, but it's obvious to anyone watching the games that the guy doesn't move the same at all. Guy hits 30 years old and falls off a cliff. That's essentially Blake Griffin's career and he's only 31 but already a bench player averaging 10 a game. Two years ago he was putting up 24 a game. It happens that fast. There have been a ton of guys like this in the NBA and there's nothing particularly wrong with it. It's just life, not every star is able to stay strong into their 30s. MOST people experience an athletic decline around 30 and it usually takes a couple more years for what's left of their youthful bounce to almost completely disappear after that.
I understand why Blake is overrated. It has to do with coincidence. When CP3 came in the Clippers, Griffin was in the conversation as a top 10 player, including people saying Deandre Jordan is a beast. When CP3 left, Griffin was never the same and his contract was so bad, and Deandre Jordan wasn't even considered a beast in the 17-18 season. I think CP3 might have boosted Blake's career as a top 10 player for at least once. If you don't believe me, look how good Capela is and Capela was a nominee for the 2017-18 season MIP with Dinwiddie and winner, Victor Oladipo.
Never the same? compare the 2015 regular season stats to the 2018 stats. in fact do the same for the 2016 and 2017 seasons. Deandre has always overrated the worst thing the clippers did was making a honest effort to get DJ more involved in the offense after they resigned him. I understand why they did it. they have no money with or without him I just wish he got more criticism for choosing not to work on his offensive skill. He couldn't develop a short 10 foot jumper in 3 seasons?
They literally just needed solid and tall wing players to help on defense. The closest consistent one on both ends they ever had was Matt Barnes. Jamal and JJ only played offense. They tried out so many old players that were holes on Defense. Its too late to know now
I like your "powerless pf" theory, i would argue playing Blake Griffin at center is an ever worse decision than him playing the combo foward. Anyways, great content and subscribed.
There are still talent during those years, but you also got to admit that the warriors pushed small ball to another level, saying that 2010-2015 had less talent? Drose, paul and rondo are all at their primes, dwade , melo even old paul pierce was still good, kd and westbrook made it to the finals in 2012, its not the lack of talent, its more about the warriors changing the nba , making non shooting forwards extinct
damn .... the production quality on this video was fucking amazing... Even the structure of it is top notch.... This was literally attention grabbing.. I very much enjoyed watching this...This is incredible ....Great Job
Blake was playing like an mvp when healthy last season. Coming from a clipper fan that knows his game. Lol people have no clue. That being said tobias is better cuz hes cheaper and just as good. Not as good at playmaking but a better shooter
poop dolla every part of this comment was dumb. He was playing well in LA but FAR from MVP calibre, and if Tobias Harris is just as good does that mean he's MVP callibre ?
poop dolla neither do you since they're not all televised. And I wouldn't have to watch a single game to know this. Look at the stats. Of course stats don't tell you everything about a player but they sure as hell tell if you're MVP level or not
You are right about the talent falling off. Kobe, Duncan, Dirk, Garnett, Pierce and players like that all started aging and retiring and there weren’t guys coming in to replace them. I think the last few drafts are making a difference with better talent in the NBA.
I’ll never understand why after two years of watching you, you still only have 100k subscribers. I guess you always have the unpopular opinion, but you always have great unique insights that actually makes sense.
Loved the vid. Only thing I would add is that Blake never had a decent post game. Similar to Amare Stoudemire, he got too comfortable facing up because he was so explosive. Outside of fast break dunks, the pick and roll, pick and pop, or open mid range jump shots, neither player was effective at creating their own shots. They depended on guards like Nash and Paul to put them in position to score. Also, with their athleticism it doesn't make sense that neither player were good shot blockers or help defenders. Some of it truly comes down to effort.
He’s still my favorite current nba player. Thanks for bringing some life to the clippers fan base. We might be a lot smaller now that all the bandwagons have left, but you will always be a clipper to me Blake.
This is also explains how everyone said that Lebron made Bosh and Love spot up shooters, basically making them go into that wing player path. This created Love’s game to be Optimal in the current form of basketball
Can you link or say the name of the specific video the MDJ clip is from? Btw your analysis is 🔥. Love that point about the '09 - '14 drafts not being as good as they seemed.
Injuries is what has kept him out of the top 5 player conversation.. When healthy, he is a top 10 player without a doubt, one of the most complete players in the league.
Their are nba players that are good and people call them better than other players like how people say Melo> Covington but if you are asked the question who would you rather have on your team if you know basketball you will always pick Covington players just fit game today better than other making them better players
Kevin Walker Lets see next year. I'm cheering for him to be great. I like Blake and am a fan of his, but I do agree with the points in this video. The east is now a big question mark.
I agree with the talent pool theory, but at the same time...I think Blake was still underrated. It's very challenging to be a consensus top ten player for at least five years straight. It's easier to consistently be top 25 or top 30, than it is to consistently be top 10...even in a slightly weaker era.
blake griffin would be such a bad center. he can grab boards but honest barely. and he does not play any kind of defense and when he does he is horrible at it. and if he was a center he would get soo dunked on.. he can not swat for the life of hell
I honestly never saw a franchise player potential with paul george back then. His game is just to passive. He's like tmac withiut tmacs skill explosivity and ability to create shot from the dribble...
Sean FHou yeah their passivity is comparable as well as their tendency to fall in love with their outside jumper but other than that tmac is a whole lot better than him.
Let me just say a few things: Every sport goes through transitions. Back in the day you just played ball. No real positions just roles. Back in the day there were 6’5 “PF’s” but already 7’0 C’s. The C could stand in the paint all day long waiting for rebounds or blocks. Later when the real measurements came up to be a real PF, and the rules changed drastically, also adding 3pt line, you had to be at least 6’10 to be able to play in the paint. Or you’d be undersized. Real height, or shoe height..whatever you like. You had to be a bruiser. Now that PF style is getting distinct. Be a stretch 4, be a stretch 5 if you will.. It’s what is asked of you by team management or the coach. Different era, different gameplay, different strengths. Can’t be a one trick pony anymore. If the PF doesn’t need to rebound that much then he won’t. Blake is now trying to be as valuable as he can be without dunking and landing awkwardly so he won’t bust his knee. And yes I like to rant ;).
he choked two years legitamtely 2013 and 2015(wasnt that bad actually in the 2012 sweep. Just was young and cp3 was terrible that series). altho 2015 did look bad you can argue that team was lucky to get that far anyway with no bench play and was a ticking time bomb
For the record, Blake suffered the same weird calf/thigh injury Kawhi was so scared to come back from. Sapped a TON of his athleticism because it wasn't handled properly
My hardcore nba fan who is also studying to become physical therapist predicted Blake Griffin will suffer from many injuries with his play style which was actually quite accurate prediction. Now, I just have to wait and see if Blake Griffiin will retire sooner than many other Allstar lever players since that was the second prediction. Nevertheless, he was and is amazing player.
As a true power foward Blake Griffin was the last of them, he was dominant in the post against stronger guys than the centers most teams have now, this is why they triple team Blake in the post, AD and Joel Embiid haven't really backed down guys in the post the way Blake did they fade away low post, while Blake still spins inside into the paint. He was great at his position still is, its just that the game changed to favor a big that shoots

Am I the only one who can feel relaxed asf watching vids like this because of just the love I have for basketball
Scored 50 last night still a superstar
Who’s watching this after the Warriors game?
Their are nba players that are good and people call them better than other players like how people say Melo> Covington but if you are asked the question who would you rather have on your team if you know basketball you will always pick Covington players just fit game today better than other making them better players
exactly
Lowkey one of the best basketball youtuber
Lol couple months later still can put up 50. Nothing happened, he just got injured a lot.
He was never the same after that spurs vs. Clippers playoff series back in 15'
You and MDJ have such logical insight. I love the way it's never too one sided.
You agree that Blake isnt one of the better players in the east ? Such logic smh . Never too one sided ... smh .
Lmao 50 point double double yesterday
Aye LOW when are you gonna do you prediction videos on all 30 teams we need that to return it was a great series you did.
Agent doesn’t know anything about basketball
Neither does LOW
It’s not that there’s no more PF it’s just the players skills have evolved to such a high level that everyone is playing positionless basketball
blake griffin would be such a bad center. he can grab boards but honest barely. and he does not play any kind of defense and when he does he is horrible at it. and if he was a center he would get soo dunked on.. he can not swat for the life of hell
I think the only thing about playing center for him is his wing span is too short
Blake should be a point guard since he is a good passer. He would also have a size advantage
Props for shouting out a legendary analyst and one of his theories LoW, Marc Jiang.
I honestly never saw a franchise player potential with paul george back then. His game is just to passive. He's like tmac withiut tmacs skill explosivity and ability to create shot from the dribble...
zenmar i was bout to say lol, hes nothing like tmac but then i kept reading and i agree 100 percent
Sean FHou yeah their passivity is comparable as well as their tendency to fall in love with their outside jumper but other than that tmac is a whole lot better than him.
Let me just say a few things:
Every sport goes through transitions.
Stop disrespecting john wall n pg
This was a really interesting idea, I really had not considered the fact that his career was deckining
Blake choked for my clips year after year. but still I have a place for him in my NBA Heart. No homo
he choked two years legitamtely 2013 and 2015(wasnt that bad actually in the 2012 sweep. Just was young and cp3 was terrible that series). altho 2015 did look bad you can argue that team was lucky to get that far anyway with no bench play and was a ticking time bomb
Donald Trump his NBA heart my guy
Charles Cooks dont forget him disappearing In 2017 game 1 and 2 against utah before getting hurt.
At this point, every player who has a name has called a choker
Mr. Swish you have a place for a choker?😚
For the record, Blake suffered the same weird calf/thigh injury Kawhi was so scared to come back from. Sapped a TON of his athleticism because it wasn't handled properly
Lebron James is SF, not PF
Pepe Galván no he's a center. i mean sg. i mean pg oh wait let me watch bball again i must have forgotten.
In the 2012-13 and 2013-14 years he was listed at Power Forward. Old news
Pepe Galván LeBron is a small dum ass Lil boy😂😂😂😂
My hardcore nba fan who is also studying to become physical therapist predicted Blake Griffin will suffer from many injuries with his play style which was actually quite accurate prediction. Now, I just have to wait and see if Blake Griffiin will retire sooner than many other Allstar lever players since that was the second prediction. Nevertheless, he was and is amazing player.
2014 Blake and jokiam Noah was amazing
"2014 was like 10 years ago, that's ancient relic in NBA years." - 2024/2025
As a true power foward Blake Griffin was the last of them, he was dominant in the post against stronger guys than the centers most teams have now, this is why they triple team Blake in the post, AD and Joel Embiid haven't really backed down guys in the post the way Blake did they fade away low post, while Blake still spins inside into the paint. He was great at his position still is, its just that the game changed to favor a big that shoots
