I agree in terms of service but I’ve haven’t had a single flight with them (and I’ve flown them 5 times) that wasn’t delayed at least an hour, and three of those were over two hours. It’s frustrating.
@@colemadonna6284 Out of curiosity...were those delays out of JFK or because of JFK? I ask because my husband used to work for jetBlue for 11 years. Fantastic company, anyway a lot of the delays we had were due to issues in JFK. Weather, backups on the runways, stuff like that. He said it time and time again..."Fly around JFK!!" Especially at night when the 'Heavies' were coming in from overseas and had priority landing causing delays. We'd join the 'conga line' of airlines trying to get to take-off, but alas would have a delay of 45 minutes and longer if there was weather in the area. But having the perks of flying standby was great so a little delay was okay we'd get there eventually. My husband is now a general manager at a local general aviation airport but when we fly we go jetBlue and people still know us. It's like a family reunion every time we fly. It's awesome. But I do get your frustration about the delays. That's why I was wondering if it was JFK. Take care!
@@hsbvt Yeah, one early morning flight MCO-JFK that was a maintenance related delay. All others have been between MCO-PVD. JetBlue cited weather reasons for most of them but other airlines were just fine. Same thing happened to my parents. They almost got stranded in Cancun when JetBlue canceled their flight to PVD for winter weather. Luckily the weather had no effect on Delta's operations and Delta was able to get them home on the same day.
pro-tip: avoid flying in the afternoon in Florida (between 12 pm and 6 pm - especially in the summer). There will almost always be delays - thunderstorms the likes of which people hardly if ever see. Really enjoyed this! Thanks for sharing!

I flew this route on JetBlue about a year ago. My first flight on this airline. Mint is a great product. Seat was very comfortable, food and drink couldn’t be beat, and service was exceptional. Can’t say enough positive things about this airline
JetBlue is 100% not a no-frills carrier. They have free WiFi, free live TV, free food and drink, etc. The tickets are just slightly cheaper than something like Delta or United. The only real no-frills airlines are Fronteir and Sp*rit. JetBlue and Southwest (which is like JetBlue for the south) are honestly my favorite airlines in the US.
Way back in the mid-1990's, I was a frequent FLL/LAX first class flyer on Delta. I have to say, I never had a flight like the one you had on Jet Blue. Amazing!
JetBlue is not "no frills" airline. It's a low cost carrier, yes, but they do offer free snacks and beverages. Spirit and Frontier are "no frills" airlines. So is Allegiant. Southwest and jetBlue are low-cost carriers. Honestly, they offer more to their customers than the legacy carriers do in economy these days.
That's the standard domestic service here in the US. In Europe, you are flying internationally with almost every flight, so the service levels are different. Also, NO domestic carrier offers free alcohol. Not in the US and not in Europe. Only on select international flights. Southwest and jetBlue are not premium carriers. They are low cost carriers. They offer frills, but not the same amount. To call them no-frills would be an incorrect statement. That's all I'm saying.
Perhaps there's a semantic point - "no frills" is used interchangeably in the UK to mean "low cost", though I take your point Chris, in that there are some frills - in fact, more so than some legacy EU carriers on flights of the same length. From a frequent flyer perspective JetBlue lacks a few main frills, in poorer codeshare arrangements, no lounge access and it isn't a member of an alliance. The lines between "low cost" and legacy are so blurred now.
Oh you're absolutely right! They are definitely lacking. I will say, though I am a frequent flyer with AA, I used to be a FA in a previous life for 17 years, and jetBlue has developed airline "partnerships". I'm not sure if there are code shares in there, I think there are. I know Hawaiian Airlines, and Aer Lingus are partners now with jetBlue. I think Cape Air also connects their passengers to some island destinations both in New England and the Caribbean.
I've served Filet Mignon on 30 minute flights as well, but I assure you you don't see a service like that anywhere now a days. You might get a hot meal, maybe on linen, but it's not to the quality it used to be. I spent many years working First Class Galley on the 747-400 from New York to Hong Kong, so I know nice service! Champagne, caviar, etc.
I believe from watching other videos, Jet Blue would be a lot better than Ryan Air or Easy Jet in Europe. In the US: Jet Blue, Virgin America, Hawaiian and Alaska Airlines have good reputations.
avioncamper Hawaiian is not really considered a ”budget” airline, so in my opinion, it isn’t comparable to Virgin Alaska or jetBlue, nor is it comparable to your UK airlines Ryanair and EasyJet.
I flew on JetBlue Economy, from JFK to FLL (round trip), last year. It was a wonderful trip. The agents and crew are really. My go-to for future trips.
great review, and a great product. not heard a bad word about Jetblue's business class, and I was surprised they ventured into that market. another thing....no business lounge? what do all those Emirates premium passengers do before their flight ?? thanks Paul
Oliver Chessler that because there not anymore! Theve gone mad expensive over the years, and that first class is as expensive as United, delta and Americans.
That might be the best single aisle top class seat I've ever seen, although FlyDubai's 737's are good contestants as well. Maybe the presentation of the food is not quite in propotion to the seat, but I guess the American laid back style of cuisine comes a cross there as well. Fantastic video as always!

I’ve flown in JetBlue Mint when the service first came out a few years ago (SFO-JFK), it was a wonderful flight. The food tastes as good as it looks and the flight attendant made sure I had a drink the entire flight except for when I was sleeping. The lay flat seats were comfortable enough to sleep on well.

Just curious....I'm a videographer...what camera do you use, and are you using in-camera stabilization, or post? Your images are quite good. I fly JetBlue whenever I can (never used Mint before though) and I can say that I've never had a bad experience with them. They're always on-time, and their staff are friendly and professional.
Another brilliant trip report! i was fully engaged throughout! Love how there is sliding door making it a fully private suite. Wonder how this compares to AA's A321 transcon product featuring first and business class. For a LCC, this product exceeds those from other major carriers!
+Zuhair Farouk I've been on the transcon A321 in First (though it was a shuttle flight SFO-LAX). I prefer the JetBlue seat and service concept to be honest, though with AA you get Flagship lounge access which isn't bad at all. AA is much more expensive though!

If you ever wind up back in southern Florida, could you do a review of Brightline/Virginrail USA? They currently run a higher speed (by North American Standards) service from Miami-Ft. Lauderdale-West Palm beach with an Orlando extension under construction. They’re mainly noteworthy as they’re the only completely private non-touristy intercity rail service in the U.S. I’d love to hear your thoughts on them!
I really enjoy your videos! And the production values are consistently excellent! Although I'm rather partial to train travel, I was curious if you have a preference? Planes or trains? Thanks!
Looks like JetBlue, budget airline, have got it Spot On, adding this new Mint experience Class.. Does the lack of a Lounge facility @ Fort Lauderdale, put just a slight dampener on the overall experience,Paul!
FLL isn’t that bad and they’re going to upgrade the terminals to connect all of them so you can visit all the bars and restaurants without leaving and having to Go through security. Because JetBlue is the most popular airline there, their terminal is packed! So, I’m sure they wanted to expand and renovate it to accommodate it for sure.
JetBlue Mint service looks like the way to travel in the US. I understand they have an arrangement with TAP connecting at JFK for flights to Portugal and on throughout Europe. Apparently reasonable fares are offered with this connection. Any information about this Paul?
You should try spirit....rude ground staff (contract employees), sometimes...never had a rude flight crew. Delays, sometimes but not worse than some others I've flown. Issue is, if flight it's cancelled, you are screwed. Seats are not the best but depends if plane has new or old seats...old ones are way better. Get an exit row or big front seats..worth it. Flew r/t Cleveland to Los Angeles for $42 so I had nothing to complain about. I fly the Cleveland-Boston leg quite a bit for$84 r/t.
Minor pedantry: FLL does have lounges in Terminals 1&2, just not in terminal 3-4(which are now connected into one big terminal). Which is especially irritating because that's where most (all?) of the international flights leave from. There aren't even any good restaurants in 3-4. I always hate it when I fly on Emirates or Norwegian because I end up just sitting in the corner for a couple of hours.
Hi I like very much your reviews The JetBlue aircraft with mint product onboard have mint color on the tail so the livery would be standard livery with mint......
WOW I am impressed. I love the cabin and for that price!!!! PS I'd be happy to feature your channel - am a fan (it already appears on related channels)
Love your videos and I'm always looking for first class flights to try out so keep up the good work. By the way I would not fly spirit, people don't lie about how small and cramped it is, just some friendly advice.
Not too related to the video, I just wanted to ask this. What are the ranks for the different types of class seats on planes? The types are business, economy, premium economy, first class, and I think one more. But what is the order for them, from lowest level to highest level?
I'm a simple man, I see Paul upload and I like.

I been on JetBlue between Fort Lauderdale and Boston, but one time, I took it to Worcester
They will fly to England on June 2021 (this year as I comment)! They don’t fly to Britain yet!
Love the music. Keep on man!
I really enjoy your videos! And the production values are consistently excellent! Although I'm rather partial to train travel, I was curious if you have a preference? Planes or trains? Thanks!
Lovely videos! Your videos are getting better and better , and i love it :D
Great video, well done Paul
FLL is by my house and I fly in and out of there all the time!
Loved the video Paul!
I am obsessed with you videos
Looks like JetBlue, budget airline, have got it Spot On, adding this new Mint experience Class.. Does the lack of a Lounge facility @ Fort Lauderdale, put just a slight dampener on the overall experience,Paul!
I've been through Fort Lauderdale, the airport puts a damper on any flight experience. It was supremely frustrating.
FLL isn’t that bad and they’re going to upgrade the terminals to connect all
of them so you can visit all the bars and restaurants without leaving and having to
Go through security. Because JetBlue is the most popular airline there, their terminal is packed! So, I’m sure they wanted to expand and renovate it to accommodate it for sure.
Great review as always 👍👍
JetBlue Mint service looks like the way to travel in the US. I understand they have an arrangement with TAP connecting at JFK for flights to Portugal and on throughout Europe. Apparently reasonable fares are offered with this connection. Any information about this Paul?
Great Flight 😯😍
I can't believe JetBlue has that. Every JetBlue flight I've been on only has economy or economy with extra space.
Matt Dill it’s only on specific routes
Please be sure to try JetBlue's sister airline Azul! That would make my day ^_^
JetBlue seems like a great airline.
Airflow Aviation they are great! So lucky we have them in Fort Lauderdale! They’re Fort Lauderdale’s favorite and most used airline!
That was a great video
Hi I like very much your reviews
The JetBlue aircraft with mint product onboard have mint color on the tail so the livery would be standard livery with mint......
+Isaac Dayan Thanks Isaac, made a correction!
WOW I am impressed. I love the cabin and for that price!!!!
PS I'd be happy to feature your channel - am a fan (it already appears on related channels)
Thanks, please do - I will feature yours back :-)
Done :-) Love discovering new airlines through YT videos and always a good source of info for future trips. take care
Hi, paul, another great vídeo, congratulations, Nice configuration for a narrow body.
Have u tried some latin American as LATAM , AVIANCA?
I dont like Jet Blue but i have to say that the Mint Business Class is very good also your trip report 👍👍👍
Love your videos and I'm always looking for first class flights to try out so keep up the good work. By the way I would not fly spirit, people don't lie about how small and cramped it is, just some friendly advice.
+Bryce Flint I'd get the big front seat on Spirit. I want to try them though just to see if they're as bad as people say...
Well I will be looking forward to that video whenever it comes out!
Great video, you should do a trip report to palma de mallorca it's a great airport
I wonder who the tennis player was and where did he store his bag?
looks like he fit it in the overhead just fine.
Not too related to the video, I just wanted to ask this. What are the ranks for the different types of class seats on planes? The types are business, economy, premium economy, first class, and I think one more. But what is the order for them, from lowest level to highest level?
