I do the same thing as well, lol, but my selections are rarely the same, hehe.
On another point, perhaps it's just me but I find BAs First product to be akin to most other airlines Business Class product. I watched this and many other YTers BA First videos and feel somewhat underwhelmed by the food selections, presentations and cabin service. And I'm sure it doesn't come cheap either.

If you're ever going to fly BA first class then do it from London, not to London. The experience is completely different. From the Concorde Lounge to even clearing security is amazing.

@Michael G Some Heathrow departures (Las Vegas, Vancouver) now use terminal 3 and its First lounge is definitely inferior to the Concorde. I consider the departure lounge at Heathrow when making my flight choices.

Hey, some US brands don't even offer this. I consider this halfway between business and first class. When they do, they're still behind. Look at the frequent flyer criticisms of American and Delta. They have partly enclosed booths like BA but they're behind.
      Way behind.

Yeah the outside world don't seem to get that America's domestic air flights are utilitarian..the rest of the world is enamoured and this is a luxury... it's been this way for a long time now it's more like you can either Drive for 3 days or fly for 4 hours.... it's a convenience not a luxury this won't change anytime soon because there's no reason for it to

harshwardhan dongare hah, fair enough. I’ll be honest, I’m fairly new to flying, have not flown first class yet, but I have flown business class once or twice, and had access to the business lounges.
My travel partner is absolutely incredible with how he travels. Yes he makes $100k a year, or thereabouts, in the railway, but he’s slowly teaching me how to game the system to my advantage, and my god it’s an art and a science with him. He also converts BA points to Qantas points for use here in Australia, and along the east coast where we both live, he can fly from/to Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane, business, for what works out to $20 on top of an economy ticket. Have a decent lunch in the lounge and you’ve stacked the deck in your favour straight away.
My friend and I have a somewhat special relationship. Because he doesn’t drive, and has no interest in driving, he basically flies me to wherever the hell he wants to go, and I become the taxi, taking him to wherever he wants to go and whatever he wants to see. We do, of course, go do and see things that *I* want to see, and he trusts me to find good driving roads so I can have a bit of fun while being the taxi, but it’s a relationship I’m glad to have. And I’m sure you’ll agree, is well worth it on my end!
If you have any secrets you’d like to share, please feel free. :P

Yes! The soup was especially bad. And while it might not have cost Paul much, this video didn't make me want to spend the extra money to go from Club World to First. It actually vindicated any regrets I've had about not paying for upgrades to First from Club in the past.

The standards at BA have been in decline since the nineties ....... they once had high standards. The crews are like the aircraft livery tired & dated. The food is a disgrace !!
If you want 5* star service you’ll need to use M.E. & Asian companies now.
    Such a shame :-(

For what Paul paid (not much) it's a good deal...but Paul can get great deals via rewards etc. Paying cold, as it were, this First class would be very poor value compared to other airlines. Also have to take into account that business/first flights to/from USA can be particularly expensive.

William Tearne doesn't change how it should be executed British airways maybe a company but it still needs to up its game plus its still the national carrier and so is Emirates and Qatar many airlines do a much better job its not who owns the company on how it changes its expectations it about the experience they say BA competes with Emirates and Qatar rubbish even Japan Airlines do a better job and they get less customers

TheMightyHarihar Emirates is way overpriced, disappointing, with rude staff. The few flights I've had on Emirates recently have been very very disappointing.
And I don't want to be told when and how to order my drinks. I also want my food hot. And appetizing. All of which fell very short. They can't even be bothered to train the onboard attendants in the art of sommelier - something which should be an absolute must in 1st class.
I also don't want to stare at gold ostentatious paint for the entire flight.

British Airways is the airline I fly every year to my UK holiday. I fly First Class, but I take the later flight which departs at 8:30PM and arrives around Noon the next day. Service has always been excellent, attentive, and friendly. I enjoy the First Class Lounge, but I don't worry too much for the smaller selections of food and snacks: the meals onboard are savoury and thoughtful. I especially enjoy the bacon rolls at breakfast! BTW, AARP members get a discount on their ticket!

While it certainly could be improved, BA is not government funded like a large number of Asian and middle Eastern airlines. Emirates for instance, is heavily dependent on government funding (hence why they place huge orders for new planes).
