In the comics, Magneto & Rogue was a thing in the Age of Apocalypse comic book run. Which is my favorite X-MEN comic book run.

Though, you should update your info on Omega level mutants, Jean, Storm, Magneto, Franklin are all Omega level mutants confirmed, Franklin not anymore if I am not mistaken, I think they recently brought him back as Omega. And Wanda officially is not a mutant for over 5 years now if I am not mistaken.

GREAT reaction guys! Don't worry about Storm -- she will be back. She lost her powers in the comics too (for a LONG time) and it was one of the BEST things to happen to her. She adapted, overcame, developed better hand-to-hand fighting skills. Defeated Cyclops (without her powers) for leadership of the X-Men. There are two episodes later this season titled "Lifedeath". If you want a SPOILER about Storm's journey and WHO might help her regain her powers, Google X-Men Lifedeath for info on that storyline....

I'm jumping ahead a little, but I'm pretty sure the eyes that "Jean" saw when she was in Gyrich's mind were actually the eyes of the "real " Jean Grey that showed up at the end of episode 2. This "Jean" using her telepathy probably woke the "real" one up.
Don't worry about Storm ya'll. She's forge her own path.

X-Men is a family. They bicker and fight but they stand up for each other. That's something the movies dabbled in but this did it better in 30 minutes. The writing wasn't even complicated. It was simple and they still pulled it off. Looking forward to the rest of the show.

Storm lost her powers in the comics in the 80s.... enter mutant Forge (her love interest)....
so part of the good writing is taking some of the most powerful off the playing field to create tension in battle, plus just before the trial of magneto(uncanny x-men200) and the birth of nathan summers(uncanny x-men 201) you had life and death 1&2 where storm is depowered by weapon created by forge and she goes on a walkabout and come backs stronger than ever to take over as leader(and this is by uncanny 201 when nathan is born but i imagine it will need time to develop on the show). so i have a lot of faith storm getting depowered is a good thing but we need some justice for gambit now.
Cyclops and storm finally getting their flowers first two episodes were off the hook. Can't wait for more and great reaction guys!

Sad part is that Disney apparently fired the showrunner of this show who it is reported also wrote these 2 episodes. I hope that doesnt affect the quality.
It’s not really sad, they didn’t fire him for no reason as far as I can tell he suspected of being a child predator and he immediately deleted all social media after being fired. Obviously innocent till proven guilty, but Disney can’t keep the guy around with that type of heat on him
@@bjwill9047 its sad for the series if he winds up being the reason its great. Sad for the Xmen legacy that deserve to continue down to future generations and not be shelved by gutless executives that only know how to squeeze more money out of safe franchises.
@@VAOdin I feel like your being way to pessimistic, like sure he was the original creator props to him, but I’m not going to praise him for anything if this stuff turns out to be true. And it’s not like the team is going to suddenly crumble without him, they know how to animate and their following comics.
As long as they just do what they did in the first episodes they’ll be fine (especially since the episodes are already done. Their just releasing it weekly, so it’s not like him not being around changes anything because everything has already been finished.
Like again, Disney can be very greedy but this is a good show and there is no reason to believe it’s suddenly just going to die just because they died a guy who might deserve to be in prison let alone out of a job.
@@bjwill9047 Whoa, let's not go too far with the accusations. Last I heard, one of the speculated reason he was fired was because he was on OnlyFans, and the higher ups found this act "creepy". That's all. I've never heard anyone say anything about him being a pervert until you mentioned it.
Also, you need to understand that switching showrunner is as good as changing the entire direction of the project. The thing is, the show has been renewed for a 3rd season. Obviously, whoever comes in to replace him is gonna have their own ideas about what they want to do, and those ideas may or may not gel with what came before. I wouldn't be surprised if plotlines for Season 3 that were seeded in Season 1 and 2 end up being dropped and forgotten because the new showrunner isn't digging it.
In fact, you see stuff like that in comic book runs all the time. Like, remember the 3rd Summer brother that was mentioned by Mr Sinister once and never brought up again until decades later when a writer decided to play with that idea? Or how the The Krakoa Age storyline was supposed to have wrapped up a couple of years ago, but the head-writer's (Jonathan Hickman) fellow writers wanted to prolong it, so the head-writer decided to just leave it in their hands and just leave the X-Office instead. When a writer leaves the book, it's not the obligation of the new writer to pick up where the previous writer left off with regards to plotlines and only write what the old writer had in mind. I'm pretty sure the story in the Fall of X event that's currently happening isn't even anything similar to the original ending that Hickman had in mind, even though the current head-writer worked under Hickman during his time on the book.

i'm worried this is just another free content for reaction channels not because they watched the cartoon or read ANY comics (i.e care about nerd culture) just like apple fanboy/girls only love the brand because they were popular which only happened because they ripped off asian technology i.e mp3 players, which the japanese only chose not to market as much because they wanted people to stay on Mini discs, like vhs you can milk money out of people, same with cameras forcing people people to buy film. Otherwise why buy apple when you can buy pc/androids that you can copy and paste music/pictures/movies no syncing, emulate games easily etc p.s this literally continues from the original show so unless you watched the old show you wont' even get whats happening to the story or even 90s culture

Morph gave us so many characters and use of thier powers in battle for the teams benefit is simply amazing and just wish Stan lee was still here so I would and could expect his special appearance

Lots of folks are about to learn who Ororo really is and I’m all here for it. One of my top three favorite comic characters and the story she just started is a big reason why.
