Proving Jerry is such a Jerry he couldn't even be helped by the most helpful creature in existence
He's not really incompetent. He can do something if he tries hard but the fact is, he doesn't even want to try. He just want to reap the benefits without doing any hard work.

Well, at the end, it worked.
Problem with Jerry is that he picked a task he wasn't truly invested in like Beth and Summer. He did not want to be better at Golf, he just wanted something that would make him look cool.
He also chose a practical task that only he could fulfil solely by him no matter how much help he was given.
I dunno that that's fair, Summer's was precisely as vain, and Beth's was precisely as internal. Jerry just got a bit dicked by chance to be honest.
Yep! It wasn't his true goal which is why the Mr Meseeks couldn't help him. He thought Mr Meseeks was a monkey's paw but in reality they were just an "IRL computer program." There's an input and an output. Simple.

Jerry is just so hopeless that even Mr Meeseeks can’t help him realize an apparently trivial task. That’s the fun of it.

When you realize that Tammy only starts hanging out with Summer after she uses Rick's Meseeks box.
I feel like she was looking for a way in, and when she saw her opportunity, she took it. It's either that or the intergalactic government approached all of Summer's friends and Tammy was the first one to say yes or just the first one approached.
The scary part about this is, the Meeseeks are the perfect killing machines. They are driven by their desire for non-existence, which motivates them to do their tasks by any means necessary. And they certainly aren't above killing in order to fulfill their task. They can be damaged, but they can't be killed. And the worst part about this? We don't know how many Meeseeks can be summoned from one box, but we do know a whole lot of them can be summoned at once.
In one of the comics, Rick was using them as untraceable couriers for his drug empire. They'd make a delivery then immediately disappear

When Facsist Morty shoots the spaceship and they all get flung into space, you can see that Mr Meeseeks Look At Me dies along with the rest of them. Theyre just incredibly resistant - not invulnerable.
@@thefrogggy100 Yes, he seems to be dying from the lack of oxygen, but he doesn't disappear. Moreover, in the episode where Jerry couldn't get better at his golf game, the Meeseeks did some gruesome damage to themselves, but never died.

it probably has conditions, the meseeks and the person requesting have to both feel the task was complete. And maybe the meseeks box will then arbitrate the decision remove the meseek from existance

Abstract tasks are just as easy to succeed though.
One of the definitions of popular is "liked, admired, or enjoyed by many people or by a particular person or group." So Mr. MeeSeeks has a LOT of avenues for success here. He can get her admired by one group, idolized by a single person, or in this case just "mobbed" by four people.
I wonder how the science behind Meeseeks works. Do they consume matter or energy from the universe when they’re created? Would there then be a limit on how many could exist simultaneously without destroying reality?

In my personal opinion it could be that they are made from preexisting matter in the universe, and their desire to be unexisted is so they can return to the universe as normal non sentient matter without causing a major problem like a meseeks uprising or what Jerry did

Mr. Meeseeks, the ultimate helper/bodyguard/ what have you. Imagine if some diabolical mastermind gets his hands on such a box. They obey any command given to them, are practically unkillable, and do not need anything to sustain them. They could have an entire army of Mr. Meeseeks and command them, "Mr. Meeseeks, help me take over the world!"
True the only problem is you better give them a doable task or they might kill you in rage

For some reason, out of all the events, Mr. MeSeeks was one of the more frightening concepts of this show. It just seemed like a sad slave invention that could very easily go wrong.
That's kind of the point, but it's designed in reverse here. Existence is pain for Mr. MeeSeeks. So they happily do their job so that they can end that pain.

If they had successfully killed Jerry, they might not have actually accomplished their goal and then they’d be alive *forever.*
The existence of the stickler Meseeks implies that it’s the Meseeks themselves who decide when the task has been accomplished- they just have to 100%, truly believe that the task is done, and then they can disappear. So if they truly believed, by their logic, that killing Jerry solves the problem, they would probably still disappear.
All they had to accept was "kill Jerry" leads to "take off all his strokes from his golf game", which in turn fulfills the purpose "take off two strokes from his golf game". Maybe just having Jerry dead satisfies the purpose by vacuous truth.
