Do you think Gamecube prices will drop overall at the end of the year? Dreamcast video is next so make sure you're subscribed! I'll also be tweaking the format just a bit. I thought I would be able to make these videos a lot faster but that's not the case. Touching grass apparently does have its disadvantages.
I think it’s slowly getting there, I know a lot of other collectors including myself who have totally given up on GameCube due to how expensive everything is. I don’t doubt that most games are going to seriously drop in price soon because of the lack of demand
@@SuperNicktendo thanks for responding. I know the SHMUP market gets really expensive. Especially now that there are limited print run companies. You could focus on SMUPS for certain popular system for that genre like the Saturn, PCE, Dreamcast and Switch. Great channel. I love your work. Keep it up!! 👍
I’m glad TTYD got a port. I still am going to hold onto my GC copy. It’s one of those elusive variants that has no extra “best seller” logo on the front cover. It may not be worth more but it’s nice to see the full art unobstructed
I didn't even know for the longest time that there were copies that didn't have the best seller sticker lol. I still have my original copy and I swear I bought it close to launch and it still has the sticker 😂
Finally, just finished watching this. It’s really interesting what games went up and went down in price overtime. 2020 really does seem like an eternity away.
Would you consider doing a switch retronomics in the near future? I feel like it's been so unique from other consoles lately where the prices keep fluctuating like crazy as things go in and out of print, while the retro market seems to have stabilized a bit. Signalis is one I was just shocked by the other day, went from $20 to $100 in just a few months purely due to supply. With how vast and niche the physical library is it's so hard to keep track of the trends.
I'm dialing in the format and production on the back end so I would do a Switch vid. I have been golfing while the weather is still nice so I'm hoping to pick up production in the next month or so. The goal is to make like 4 or 5 videos in a row and have them come out more frequently.
Just hit 455 GameCube games in the collection… only 100 more to complete the set! From my experience, GameCube prices have cooled, but the demand for it is still wild at conventions
I have 246 but I already go the awesome grails (no cubebore, chibore, ir gotchabore) those I will get later in a passive collecting challenge 😂🎉 Gamcube 4 ever!
It's been a while since you made a Retronomics on the Gamecube. It's very interesing how things have changed when it comes to price, thanks to some rereleases like the Paper Mario TTYD remake and the Baten Kaitos 1+2 port. I really hope more Gamecube games gets rereleased as a lot of them are still stuck on the console.
I think that’s the key: collect what made us nostalgic. Especially considering budgets. The economy is getting tougher and tougher, but I still value those memories and retro games on native hardware. Unfortunately a lot of great games I’m nostalgic for like path of radiance and Chico Robo are still out of reach, but maybe one day I’ll get them back
Always love the way you present your data and research. Thank you for yet another GameCube video. It's goving me hope of being able to nab many games I've stayed away from rebuying for so long. First up is Thousand year door. Now for F Zero GX to get a remastered so it can get that extra nudge too (cope) 🙏
@@aceassn716 Ah nice. Hope you're able to get a nice deal on it. Glad that's also falling off in price too but I've luckily kept my copy. Disc only sadly lol
I was no wrong when I decide to collect Gamecube games in 2018,little be late but for me is ok, I bought just the rare ones duplicate and some chip games I like to play in minty condition, may be I paid top dollars but I'm happy,my collection is minty condition, nice video
I'll add it to my list. I'm trying to streamline the production process to make them easier to make. Hoping to pick up production as the weather gets colder.
If I can figure out how to get them out easily I can implement. Maybe just add a ticker or something to indicate if the price will go up or down. I stopped doing it because it was pretty repetitive - most game prices are stable so the answer is the same.
Gamecube games are still quite expensive, but they've been worse. I think prices will remain a bit high because many of the games didn't sell very well.

I think a finance video focused on Dreamcast SHMUPs would be awesome. Keep up the great work.
@@BOBSMITH-TH-camStoleMyHandle I might see if I can do a video on all shmups and different genres. Just depends on how easy it is to grab the data.

I have pretty much all I could want on the cube, and have a Flippydrive coming my way in January.
yeah I got an ODE a while back. Comes in handy.
Dude, love this content!!
damn i'm glad i snagged ultimate muscle a couple years ago for $80 lol jesus christ
I have no regrets selling GameCube games during the pandemic I have more nostalgia for PS2 I only kept a good 35 GameCube games sold 40 +

Please, more videos like this one and for different consoles

Please keep doing these.
Working on more!
Love the Manhattan Toys Pterodactyl
Thanks! I got a complete set and he’s my favorite
Cool graph/chart graphics
Glad you liked them! I'm still dialing in what I want but I'm happy with how they look. Leaps and bounds better than what I started with.
Can you do original Xbox

The good thing is at least for SH games they are extremely cheap than the ps2 version about 40-60 dollars. Same goes for fatal frame
You should totally still do the tracking for games
If I can figure out how to get them out easily I can implement. Maybe just add a ticker or something to indicate if the price will go up or down. I stopped doing it because it was pretty repetitive - most game prices are stable so the answer is the same.
Time to hold onto my cheap games and sell in bulk when the time is right. I never touch my GC
