    Wow Marshall have nailed it this time

    I have the CODE 50. When I use in clean presets there’s a hum when strings are played and if I let a chord ring out 4 sec in I get a staticky distorted sound as the sound fades out. Very disappointing and annoying. Any remedy to this problem? Do I have a setting wrong? Is this a software problem?

    If you use the 4x12 model on the amp, then play it back through a 4x12 cabinet, do you get end up with an 8x12?

    I had my first half stack in the 80's, I just ordered one of these amps off Amazon used for 180.00, I figured they would not have any used ones laying around so I have a brand new Code 50 amp now. Already started finding great sounds. Speaker upgrade next.

    I will have to hear it in person.
    I am more than happy with my Fender Mustang III and the Fender Fuse PC software looks better than the cell phone app I see here.

      Thinking the exact same thing, plus the tvp series has the stereo effect and is a lot cheaper.

    Ok I'm little confuse for this. This amp sounded more like FRFR speaker, not a real amp/cab sound, so I'll use it for monitoring on show and rehearsal. But this thing is not combine any DI out for direct into FOH(Only have headphone out), so we only can micing this amp, but if we micing this amp it sounds like I use the amp modeler with cab sim into amp fx loop return, so...... What is the correct use for this?

  • @Mr._AV_Nerd

    Looks nice and it has some cool features. I have a Blackstar ID15 TVP. I may trade up if it sounds good in person.

    The amp is sooooooo good! I just bought it a few days ago. The app sucks. And it has done ever since it went out. Can you guys please tell me what brand and model of tablet or smart phone I should buy to use it with the app? It's a shame the app seems to work only on Tutorial Guitar player guys. Thanks

      Same here although it's 2 years after your comment and present day. I just received my Code 50 yesterday and I'm getting my new used prs custom se tomorrow. I was just curious as to how you're progressing and if the Code 50 helped you learn more with all the effects and settings. For me...I figured all the extras would be cool to learn on. Any comments 2 years later? Regards, John

    A demo without putting loads of reverb on everything would be more beneficial.

    is the 25 loud enough for band practice/small pub gigs?

    • @guitarguitaruk
      @guitarguitaruk  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +nintendenn Certainly for band practice and you might have to crank it a bit for a gig, it should be fine for that too.

    • @Dizzy-xc7ev
      @Dizzy-xc7ev 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      thanks for the answer. I think the 50w might be too loud for my apartment, right? my 15w joyo dc15 is already at only 5 / 10% and is almost getting too loud.

    • @willieclark2256
      @willieclark2256 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly the only other benefit of modeling (other than the variety of tones) is that you can achieve those tones at any volume. The 50 would be fine in your apartment. Really it's a question of what size speaker you want.

    Tube Amps sound great, but they are way overpriced and Heavy. Current solid state are amazing, and have approached a cosmic "singularity" with tube amps.
    Sorry tube snobs the day has come to toss the argument that Solid state amps are crap.

    • @BlasterJunos
      @BlasterJunos 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well tube amps are just a tiny bit better than solid state but I won't argue the fact that the audience would barely hear the difference and that the solid state amps sound amazing!

      @@guitarguitaruk have you come across any amp selections that restrict the adding of effects to just a few like 3 to 4 max because that particular amp is taking too much processing power?
      Also have there been issues with bluetooth connectivity?
      I have the fender mustang gtx 50 and any new amp I select uses so much processing power that I can only add 3 or 4 total effects ( pre and post amp) and the bluetooth takes 4 or 5 tries each time to connect

    I own the code 50 and the katana mk2 50 they both sound good however the code 50 needs to be off the floor otherwise it’s too bassy with that said it has more punch than the katana...the katana sounds better on the clean patch...editing wise I like the code better cause it’s wireless and I can edit from my phone where the katana I need to usb it to my laptop

    surely the idea of doing multiple demos of what looks like a really good amp would be to show more of the presets not the same basic 3 every time we know these 3 sound good as we have heard on any of the 50 or so demos on youtube do show us more of the presets or are the others just rubbish?

    • @TheTechAndScience
      @TheTechAndScience 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Ken T. I think it has a lot to do with the recording set up and which cabinet/setting they use. I've heard it sound like a real tube amp and I've heard it sound like it coming from the bottom of a toilet. I need to add I haven't heard it in person yet.

    • @johncox323

  • @Harrysound

    I think it sounds nasty. It might bb because he's micing up the cab while also using cabinet modelling . I'm not sure how this things works so maybe that not it but it sound harsh as hell to me.

    It's for those young dudes, who have grown up with mobile phones and tablets.... Nothing for those old style rockers 😁

    • @kickblake
      @kickblake 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Michael Achenbach except for, you know, everything you can do with the app you can do on the device, and it models all the old style rock tones in a single amp.

    • @mca1960
      @mca1960 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey I have a Marshall, the JMD-1 50W combo. It's also programmable, but with MIDI, a speaker cab simulation out and of corse a tube output stage. That's better than those solid state amps. It has a better footswitch too.

    • @kickblake
      @kickblake 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Michael Achenbach for some definition of "better." It has poor modelling of non-marshall tones in large part because of that tube power section. Guys, its 2016 solid-state=insta-bad no longer applies.

    • @mca1960
      @mca1960 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      kickblake That is not true in every case. I have a tube only amp. And the sound is better as solid state amps. There is more soul, more vibe, more tone in this tube amp, as in a solid state amp. I have also solid state amps, but they all can't beat a REAL tube amp. Solid state amps have made a big step forward in tone, that's true. But at last, they can't beat a real good tube amp.

    • @kickblake
      @kickblake 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Michael Achenbach I have several tube amps, but if you have to day things like "it has more soul'" to define why they're better, you've lost the plot as that's not quantifiable.

      Ken T. The amp is great, the stock presets are just bad and muddy. Once you set up some custom presets it sounds really good.
