Incredible how in Series 2-4 Razer basically screwed themselves over every time, Series 5-6 everyone was terrified of them, then years later in Series 8 they screwed themselves over again (and in so doing prevented themselves from getting a trashing at the hands of Carbide)
If Razer didn't breakdown so much it would have won Series 2,3,4 and 5. Sure people would get bored with the outcomes maybe it's the universe balancing itself out.
Aside from winning the special events, Razer suffered a lot of mechanical problems during the 2nd, 3rd and 4th seasons of Robot Wars and getting eliminated from the competition prematurely, not getting through to the semifinals.
@@dspencer8827it hurt watching Chaos 2’s decline… it was my favourite of all time, just wish George Francis had tried to evolve it or at least improve on the design.
The only thing left before Razer is complete: It's battles in Extreme 1. Which of course does feature it's road to the All-Stars champion, their grudge with Pussycat.
Except for Ian, the Razer guys are such good sports. Hes the only one that reacts normally to things though lol. I bet they get on his nerves terribly 😂
Not gonna lie, Razer's tendency to break down was infuriating. I can't believe it lost to those pieces of crap Aggrobot and Inquisitor. It's also kind of confusing. I mean, over the course of those years, Razer went through multiple different motors and batteries and the lot, and they were all faulty? It's kind of like how a certain sports team will perform badly for decades despite having none of the same players and different coaches over the years.
+Hyenaholic Productions Season 5 Razer was definately the best robot. We should have had Razer vs Hypnodisc for intergalactic robot champion of all time. Can't believe we were robbed of that.
Almost happened in the reboot! Robochallenge (builders of Quantum/Spectre and the reboot house robots) were interested in making a new house robot based on Spectre/Quantum.
Razer looked ahead of its time the moment it appeared on TV, compared to the boxes on wheels and such.
I used to think I watched Robot wars but these early clips of some kind of obstacle course are COMPLETELY alien to me.
You might have watched the reboot or the later classic seasons

Series 2-4, Age of Breakdowns.
If the fight with Aggrobot had lasted till a judges' decision, Razer definitely would have won on damage and agression.

This team is also known for creating Warhead as well 😊
We don't talk about that 😂
Yeah, you can tell this because they have a very similar look and we’re both technologically advanced for their time
In the robot wars evolution razer was like crocodile. Barely changing at all over many years.
Chaos 2 was also the same barely changed in appearance from series 3-6

23:00 Craig Charles tempts fate
man if razer wasn't so reliable from series 2-4 he would have really gone far in those events.
unreliable*
Probably win 2 and 3
@@alexcasares7401idk if he would’ve won 2 because I can see him losing pinball or one of the more obstacle based competitions

I didn't realize that Razer were in Series 2!!!
(Series 2) 0:15
(Series 3) 5:30
(Series 4) 13:55
That football adjustment... May have won them series 6
With some strengthening to handle the load more

razer. v. hypnodisc
Hey, if a robot keeps breaking down, it's not the best robot.
chaos never did

that would of been awesome
You haven’t broken down. That’s famous last words
A very beautiful robot is razer yes indeed
Cool memory, saw this on german TV
And look and that back claw, on the arena floor!! 😂😂
If razer diden't Breakdown so easily it could have won series 2,3,4
Costs £800..... What???
I want one
12:48 did Ian drop an F bomb?
"The arm's stuck in the air"
Why do the house robot insist on fighting out of their zone.
Oh Philippa 😍
Still my favourite ever bot
God Razer had some awful luck...
Razer is one
