I am getting 68MPH on a cheap 5200mah, 35c 2s lipo. These are fun little cars to work with. I own 2 TT02's, a TT01E and 2 associated TC6's and the tamiyas are my favorites. Great video.
Im about to put the stock 150a esc from my infraction in my tt02 speed car. Putting a mmx8s in the infraction. Soo far ive still only got 94mph with the tt02 on 3s with a cheapo motor and quicrun esc.

@@themotivator1698 Hi bro. I used a Surpass Hobby 5900kv 3650 motor and a 3s lipo but I have this car faster now. I have not driven my RC's in a few years because it is hard to get batteries here. Due to the rough roads, all vehicles are monster trucks, buggies, or stadium trucks. So far the fast is about 75-80 mph, usually going any faster is flirting with a major wreck, even on the larger scale chassis. I know one of the trucks is capable of at least 100 mph, that is theoretical of course with the power, motor, batteries, and gearing. The issue is the chassis struggles beyond 60 mph. I really want to get a chassis like the TT02 or an older TC3 and find a cleared street in town for some speed runs.
@@KaizerTest I put the order in today. I went with the TT02SR and then bought the aluminum prop shaft and prop carriers. I also bought the Yeah Racing aluminum motor mount. I’m starting with a cheap 3900kv Hobbystar brushless. I’ll probably just set some cones up and run it in parking lots for a while. I have the Protoform Vittoria GT body coming and I’m painting is Tamiya Cobalt Green. I’ll probably do some speed runs too. One of the SkyRC GPS units would be a good Christmas present
@@KaizerTest what pinion gear would you recommend for good mix of acceleration and top end. I’ll be running the stock 70T spur for a while. I thought of 21T to start. I’m using a 3900kv brushless on mostly 2S but may try 3S
This TT02 is the TT02 RR (discontinued I believe). It has a different diff that is fluid filled and has nylon and steel planetary gears inside. The stock TT02 diff will hold up to speed runs because there isn't a lot of torque on the gears. You roll the power on the throttle so it should be fine. GPM makes steel diff gears and that makes the diff bulletproof on a TT02. I have a set in my TT02 buggy. But I would say it's not needed for a speed run TT02.
Hi bro you car is avesome!!!! Nice fast i just want to ask are you using original plastic diff and spur gear or they are metal? And are you suggesting diff lock? Last question😅which spur pinion combination are you useing THANK YOUU
What battery and esc do you want to run? I would suggest 2s Lipo. But the car can handle 3s Lipo as long as you run an 80amp esc minimum. Better to get a 120amp and then you dont need to worry about overheating. One of the cheap 80 or 120amp esc's off of Amazon or Ebay will work. Gool RC or Surpass Hobby. Get a 3900kv to 5900kv 3650 motor. For gearing you can leave it stock to start. It will be plenty fast on stock gearing with just adding the motor and esc I recommended. Two important things for straight line stability at high speed are toe in on the rear tires(buy 2 degree aluminum rear uprights again Ebay) and get some adjustable front steering links so you can run a little toe out. This will make it track straight at high speed. Start off in an open area with no curbs and see how it handles. Rubber tires balloon and are good to 40-50Mph. Any faster and you will want foam tires. If you need any help feel free to ask me. Let me know what esc and battery you have to start.
KaizerTest RC see the thing is idk much about it and I just want to be able to make it fast. In the last two weeks I got a carbon fiber drive chain and put better tires but that's it
The chassis is plastic not aluminum. It's actually a slightly stronger plastic chassis but basically the same as a regular black TT02 Chassis. And it came in the TT02RR car kit but they discontinued now. I have been looking for more blue chassis' but cant find any. But a regular TT02 is fine. This car did 97mph with an orange GT body later on. I explain what I did to it in this video here th-cam.com/video/6JLOzsLmprM/w-d-xo.html
@@KaizerTest Thank you figured you might have had it go almost 100 by now.aweome man I want to get my T3 to do speed runs as well so I might do some videos of that thanks man.
@@GearWorksRc No problem. The basic key ingredients for stability are a little bit of toe out for the front wheels, 2-3 degrees of toe in on the rear. So you need the aluminum rear uprights 2.5 degrees is good. Either Tamiya, GPM or yeah racing ones. And some contact foam wheels 26mm in 32 - 35 sore rating hardness.
Kaizer Test yeah sir.. Its only 4370kv, do you think is enough or i need to change the motor ? Im running a redcat now..but its hard to find a gear to increase a top speed..it make men stress 😂
@@mohdamirshafiq6965 4370kv is ok. Use Robinson Racing 52t spur 48 pitch and a 45t Robinson racing 48 pitch pinion. Cut your gear cover so the pinion fits and you should do 80 to 90mph.
Hello, I've been out of the RC hobby for over 10 years, what esc would you recommend that's cheap? I have a 3 cell battery kicking around the house. Thanks.
@@KaizerTest Thanks for the info. I want to build an onroad RC basher with the Tamiya Supra body ( I own a GR Supra) so it will be fun to have a miniature version of my car.
Do you know what wheel and tires those are? Do you happen to know of a set off Amazon or ebay that are capable of 3s and 50mph? The set I have it spins out around 36mph lol. Great run! I can't wait to see what I can get outta my tt02r. Was so funny how you forgot the GPS lol
Thanks Chris I use BSR foams and Contact racing foams that are 26mm. Go for a higher shore rating or they wont last you long. The lower the shore the more grip and the higher the shore the harder and longer lasting they are. Ease into the throttle slowly up to speed. Also have a little toe out on the front end of the car and get some aluminum 2.5 rear uprights so you have toe in on the rear. Stock TT02's have little rear toe in and no front toe out. These 2 thing will help straight line stability a lot. Here's some links to what you need. www.ebay.ca/itm/Tamiya-Aluminum-R-Upright-2-5-Degrees-for-RC-TT02-54549/283934799044?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 Tires: www.ebay.com/itm/Contact-RC-J14273-1-10-Foam-Front-Tires-26mm-42Shore-JAP-Black-Carbon-Wheels-2/132770540812?epid=1266271135&hash=item1ee9bdad0c:g:mR0AAOSwaaZfTCgW Maybe grab some around 35 shore as well if it's a more slippery road. Either will work if you ease into the throttle. Are you using foams now or Tamiya tires?
@@KaizerTest Hey bud you are the man for coming through with all that info! Now those uprights look like I already have on my car. Now I got the tamiya tt02r which comes with a few hop ups that the normal tt02 didn't. So im thinking I have those uprights? Are you on Instagram by chance? Just thinking I could show you. This is my first build! I went with a hobbywing 3652 3300kv motor and a hobbywing 80a max 10 esc. But like I mentioned the highest I got on GPS was 36mph and it would spin out lol. I had got some cheap k force racing that was more for looks than performance which was a bad idea lol. Im gonna watch your speed run you linked right now! That's impressive! I think im on a 26t pinion right now so im gonna play with my gearing as I go and see if I can get up closer to those speeds! I subbed ya bud 👌👊👍👍🍻 Also its cute how your son calls you pop! So cool having some great memories with your boy! Nothing beats rc for some good ole fashioned father son time!
Well speed runs are pretty easy on the gears because you ease into the throttle up to speed. Even drifting with a brushless system wont really hurt it too much because the tires are spinning. Now..off road the drivetrain is kinda weak. I broke my rear end bevel gear in 1 minute offroad in my TT02B (which is the buggy offroad version) So I put all steel gears in the rear diff and crown and bevel gear and even the spur gear...all steel. Then I broke a dogbone on 3s with slightly bigger tires. They are good cars but onroad the TT02 is a better car in my opinion. I got it up to 97mph now...just 3 shy of 100mph. So I will try again when I get time. Hopefully this season I can get it to 100. They are good cheap on road cars that can be made to go fast pretty cheap. Just get some 2-3 degree rear aluminum castor blocks so you get some rear toe in for stability at speed and run a little toe out up front for stability.
Thanks Ross. Ive geared it up a little more now and got a 4s battery that fits it so Im thinking it may do 100mph now. 90 for sure...just waiting for a chance to run it. Not many roads near me that are smooth and long with little traffic but I just found a really sweet place.
You may try taking a little gearing out you may actually run a little faster with the 5900kv motor. On the smaller battery may not have enough to pull those gears. Try dropping to a 40t pinion and see what that does. High kv for that gearing
Yeah I was thinking that could be a problem with going that high KV but another guy Stew Mac on TH-cam uses a 3s and 6800kv motor. I actually have a 7700kv motor and a small 1800mah 75c 4s battery. I'm getting to 100mph some how...just need to find some time.
@@KaizerTest oh the problem isn't the battery or kv. I've run 3s on 7700 before the issue is gearing. U gotta not gear as high with higher kv so it can spin. If u overgear and bog it is where you lose speed. Lol it's all about playing with it. 100 will come but u need some Good high mAh batts and high c rating
@@KaizerTest I mean it would run it forsure but a little higher mAh will give you more punch. 1800 a little low but should be fine. It's just higher mAh and c rating is easier on your electronics
I was running a Surpass Hobby 5900kv motor 3650 sized can(like a silver can size). I bought it off Amazon but it seems they don't have any anymore. Probably shortage because of Covid 19 and China shipping issue. BUT Ebay has them listed just search what I said. I saw some that were orange but 5900kv 3650 sized motor. Basically any motor like that will be fine. Gool RC is also a brand. Get any 120 amp Esc. For this 80Mph run I used a 120amp esc but if you want to go faster than 90mph get a 150 amp esc. Hobbywing max10 sct will take 4s or a simple plentiful solution is the Blx 185 Arrma which I use now. You wont need more than that. Gool RC again makes 120 amp esc and so does Surpass and some no name brands. This one was an OcDay 120 amp but it cant take 4s. Hope that helps. Ask any questions you want I'm happy to help. 👍😀
@@modelcarjedi I love the TT02 chassis. I have a speed run body for this car (2mm thick) from Delta Plastik so that should help with the blow overs. Currently building another Slash 4x4 speed run car as well. I have way too many cars...lol.
Just finished installing my upgrades on my TT02 following yours, and it’s made so much difference to the performance been really useful thanks :-). Just need a longer car park. Only tricky part is I’m on nimh batteries as I’m a bit weary around lipos and can’t really store them outside. Read a few comments about the weight but any advice on whether there’s any lghtweight Nimh batteries with enough grunt or safer lipo advice? Ever thought Of front and rear splitters for grip snd downforce? Loving the videos 👍
Thanks for the compliments brother! 😃🍺🍺 I appreciate that very much. As for Lipo's I was leary of them too but you need not be. If you only have a few you're ok. Get a metal box to put them in when not in use. I use an old ammo can but anything metal would work. A metal pail with a floor tile on top even. Just make sure the rubber seal on the ammo can is removed so it's not air tight. Charge the batteries on ceramic tile or a concrete basement floor just in case...because those surfaces wont catch fire. Get a small cell checker/analyser that connects to the balance port when you want to check the cells to see if they are at a storage charge of around 3.8v per cell. I have a cheap charger off Amazon...it works fine. A lot of them use the same internals and interface looks the same. Keep an eye on the batteries when they are charging. Really if you just follow a few basic rules you will never have a problem. Very rarely anything will happen. And if it's charging on a concrete or tile floor away from the wall or drapes then nothing will catch fire. I've never had an issue. Also charge in a Lipo bag although I don't. I just keep it away from walls etc as I said. As for the front and rear splitter my Proche GT body has front downforce but yeah maybe lifting the ing up on the rear may help but then I will probably lose top speed...hahaha. It's all a balance. Didi you see my other TT-02 video on this car now? 97Mph so far. th-cam.com/video/6JLOzsLmprM/w-d-xo.html
You need the yeah racing adjustable motor mount and you need to cut out the gear cover with a dremel so it fits. I have a close up look at this car and how to build it in this vide here: th-cam.com/video/6JLOzsLmprM/w-d-xo.html
Its a tiny device that senses when you lose traction and makes correction for stability. Actually not needed at all and if turned up too high creates a rear end speed wobble. I have it turned way down and not at all on my Slash 4x4 speed run car. Exponential or the ability to turn down the servo movement in the middle of the steering servo action is more important.
hahaha. Yes...but with a few small mods you can fit different gears. basically you want closer to 1:1 pinion and spur gear ratio. For 97mph I used Robinson racing 52 tooth spur gear and a Robinson Racing 45 T pinion. You need to use a Dremel rotary tool or some way to cut open the area above the pinion gear on the little plastic gear cover. The spur is ok because you are going smaller. It's really easy and because it's on the road not much dirt gets in. But I only did a few passes each speed run outing. For a regular parking lot basher you don't want gears this tall. Hit me up any time if you have questions. 🍺🍺
hey man! I'm trying to get an on-road car and get it to 70-80 mph. I've settled for either the Subaru WRX STI version of the Subaru Imprezza 99' version. I'm trying to stay under the 300$ range for everything, so I have a few technical questions what servo are you using? i couldn't find one that matched with the one in your dscrptn www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07N8YN59M/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A25D668S2Q0USJ&psc=1 is that the motor you are using? what esc should I put on there if I want to get a 3s on there? I couldn't find one that matched the name in your description what parts should I switch to aluminum for durability? what tires do you recommend? sorry for all the questions, I'm 14 and just want to know exactly what I need to get the car running after failing miserably with an fpv drone. thanks in advance brother :)
Hi bro. The esc was a 120amp esc. You can use a GoolRC or Surpass Hobby. If you have a few more bucks you can use a Hobbywing Max10 SCT combo with motor. The SCT version of the Max 10 can handle more amperage. But a combo like this will work. www.amazon.com/Programming-Sensorless-Waterproof-Electronic-Controller/dp/B08LYH17L2/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=120%2Bamp%2Besc&qid=1606361816&sr=8-3&th=1 The servo isn't that important(it is but a cheaper one will suffice.) A good radio is important. I recommend this radio for 1) Long distance range and 2) It has many features like a gyro and steering exponential. The steering exponential is important because it slows the steering movement down in the center part of the servo travel. So if you make a movement the steering only moves a tiny bit until you move the wheel more to the side then it respond normal. Very helpful to go straight fast. The link for the motor is the same motor I'm using. On a stock TT02 the bare minimum on aluminum parts would be the rear uprights/castor blocks. The stock TT02 has zero rear toe in. For speed runs you need at least 2 degrees. www.ebay.com/itm/Tamiya-54733-Tt-02-Aluminum-Rear-Uprights-3-0-Degree/264535904459?epid=595262254&hash=item3d979190cb:g:d04AAOSwM6Zd0Lyl After that I would say Aluminum steering bel crank but it's not necessary for 80mph. An aluminum driveshaft and end shafts would be nice but not necessary. You do need the Tamiya high speed gear set. Mostly for the adaptor that will let you run touring car spur gears. I recomment Robinson racing spurs. I used a 52 tooth spur and 45 T pinion. But this setup is for speed runs only. Same with that motor. If you want to run that motor for bashing around a bit more get a 60T spur and run a smaller pinion. Amain Hobby has all the Robinson gears. Also I think Ebay will have them. Also you need to dremel out the pinion/spur cover so you can fit a large pinion. You need to make room because the cover wont go on and this cover holds a driveshaft bearing in so you need the cover on. For tires use BSR foams in 35 shore or up to 42 compound or use Contact racing foams(ebay). I think I used 26mm tires or 30mm. I need to check that.
@@2815Juan Nothing...just an aluminum motor mount. It has aluminum drive shaft as well. The power is mostly top end so it doesn't put a lot of torque on components.
Many people looked down on The tt02. I have bought one a few years ago, put it in The shelf because I bought an xray rx8 in its Place. But looking back it seems like I want to upgrade my tt02 to match your spec. Mine is The regular one btw.
I like the TT02 because its cheap and parts are plentiful. Plus its fun making something like a Tamiya go this fast. I have about 6 TT-02's (two TT02 Buggies and the rest street) The diff's I have in the TT02R have steel gears but you can probably just put thick diff oil in your stock diff. The Fibreglass and steel stock dogbones are probably ok too because in a speed run car there's not alot of bottom end...it's a slow build to top speed...plus your not turning alot. You need a Yeah Racing adjustable motor mount and touring car 49 or 52 tooth 48p spur and a 45 tooth pinion then go up and down from there. You also need the Tamiya High speed gear set which comes with the aluminum spur gear mount. The motor is a cheap 5900kv surpass/GoolRc motor. Maybe a 5200kv may be better to get to top speed quicker. I was using a cheap 120amp GoolRc/RCcharlance esc to get to 90mph...but have since switched to an Arrma BLX 185. Foam tires are a must. BSR Foams or Contact Racing Foams. I have it ready with a new body so stay tuned for another video coming. Hopefully 100mph soon.

@@KaizerTest thanks for the reply. I was thinking that oil filled diffs might help the car stay a bit straighter but the diffs a fairly expensive.
Beautiful car. Cheers from France.
Thanks for watching brother. 🍺🍺
Hi bro you car is avesome!!!! Nice fast i just want to ask are you using original plastic diff and spur gear or they are metal? And are you suggesting diff lock? Last question😅which spur pinion combination are you useing THANK YOUU
The TT02 RR came with a fluid diff and metal gears.
Nice passes man!
Thanks brother. 👊😃
Yeah the little guy is quick and the blue looks great on the tt02
how do you fit a 45t pinion i dont get it
You have to dremel out the gear cover.
What Diameter are the foam wheels? cant find it on the link
They are 26mm
@@KaizerTest thanks but I was looking for how tall they are. 60mm? 65?
im new to the tt02 and wondering what will get the speed and acceleration up without haveing to buy a new chasis or spending a lot of money.
In the last two weeks I got a carbon fiber drive chain and put better tires but that's it
KaizerTest RC I also put ball bearing in but idk if that can make it faster just more free
We’re did you get the chassis?
It was a TT02 kit called TT02 RR and it came with the blue chassis. It's discontinued now I believe.
I have a TT02 setup guide here if you want to take a look at it. th-cam.com/video/6JLOzsLmprM/w-d-xo.html
Where did you get the blue aluminim chassi from im gonna get my ownn TT02 as well and build the kit soon i can't wait.
My esc 150a , do you think it can support 3s lipo ? Or it will burn my motor ?
What size is the motor 3650? How many kv is it? You should be fine for speed runs with a 3650 brushless motor just check temps between passes.
Thanks.
I have links in my video description but I like this esc for a cheap one. amzn.to/3dsDviP
@@KaizerTest Thanks for the info. I want to build an onroad RC basher with the Tamiya Supra body ( I own a GR Supra) so it will be fun to have a miniature version of my car.
@@jaydevries1020 No worries brother. Sounds like a great project. The TT02 is a great platform.
Did you do ESC settings also to achieve this speed or was it left set on default
I used a 120amp esc. Stock settings.
Unreal. The question is what do you do with a TT02 with that sort of speed besides up and down roads?
Not much. It was just build for top speed runs. I actually got this car up to 97mph later on with an orange GT Porsche body.
Here's some links to what you need. www.ebay.ca/itm/Tamiya-Aluminum-R-Upright-2-5-Degrees-for-RC-TT02-54549/283934799044?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

Maybe grab some around 35 shore as well if it's a more slippery road. Either will work if you ease into the throttle.
Are you using foams now or Tamiya tires?
And did you see my 97Mph TT02 speed run? I was only 3mph from doing 100! Lol. th-cam.com/video/8U5-vyluD9k/w-d-xo.html
Sensorless motors Cog alot. That's why you need a sensored motor
Yeah geared for top end lots of cog until you get rolling. I got this car to 97mph.
I'm thinking of getting one of these and I was just wondering can you just stick a brushless motor in there or do you have to do upgrades to the gears
OK nice thanks for the help
You’ll get better bro keep rc ing
I've been to 138Mph since with my Slash 4x4 GT. But the Tamiya is retired at 97mph.
Nice run Bro...😎
Thanks Ross. Ive geared it up a little more now and got a 4s battery that fits it so Im thinking it may do 100mph now. 90 for sure...just waiting for a chance to run it. Not many roads near me that are smooth and long with little traffic but I just found a really sweet place.
Very nice job
Thanks brother. 😀 Did you see the 97mph video of this car?
@@KaizerTest Yes... great speed
@@moraesmarcobsb Thanks brother. I appreciate it very much. 😀
@@motortoys9942 Ok thanks bro. For my Tamiya which is light could I get away with a 75c 1800mah 4s battery just for doing 2-3 passes?
@@KaizerTest I mean it would run it forsure but a little higher mAh will give you more punch. 1800 a little low but should be fine. It's just higher mAh and c rating is easier on your electronics
@@motortoys9942 ok cool thanks brother. I wish I was closer to come meet you and do speed runs. Anyhow...stay tuned for the next one.
Do you have links to your motor ESC combo
good video~^^ Can you tell me where you bought the 45t pinion gear?
I think I bought it from Amain Hobbies in the USA. Quick shipping to Canada. Of course I buy a bunch of things to make it worth the shipping cost.
Awesome build.
Do you have a link to your build? Want to know what pinion and spur you are using.
Thanks
Thanks. Gearing is 52 spur 45 pinion.

Good stuff guys !
Thanks Keith...other vid I have I got it to 90mph.
Kaizer Test I’m getting ready to build a TT02 speed car myself. Thanks for inspiration
97Mph so far. th-cam.com/video/6JLOzsLmprM/w-d-xo.html
how did u fit that big of a size pinion on there?
You need the yeah racing adjustable motor mount and you need to cut out the gear cover with a dremel so it fits. I have a close up look at this car and how to build it in this vide here: th-cam.com/video/6JLOzsLmprM/w-d-xo.html
What pinion and what pitch are they?
I think I had 52 spur and 45 pinion (48pitch)
I actually got it up to 90mph on 4s. Check my more recent TT02 vid. 100mph is coming...just need to wait 4 months until spring😣
What is a gyro??
Its a tiny device that senses when you lose traction and makes correction for stability. Actually not needed at all and if turned up too high creates a rear end speed wobble. I have it turned way down and not at all on my Slash 4x4 speed run car. Exponential or the ability to turn down the servo movement in the middle of the steering servo action is more important.
how did you manage to fit a 45t pinion gear to that motor??? Tamiya says the biggest one they sell is a 25t pinion gear
What motor and esc and gears are you running?
For this run I was using an Ocday 120amp esc(same as GoolRc) with Surpass 5900kv motor. I have since put in an Arrma Blx185 but with the same motor.
Check out my newer vid of this car.(now with orange body) I got it up to 97mph or 156kph.
Thanks
Nice driving pop

How much is the total of the brushless build
Roughly $350 roughly with a battery.
Does the motor come with the car?
No unfortunately not...lol. It comes with a brushed 540 motor.
where you buy?
The car? At my local hobby shop. The motor and esc on Amazon. The gears from Amain hobbies online.
hey man! I'm trying to get an on-road car and get it to 70-80 mph. I've settled for either the Subaru WRX STI version of the Subaru Imprezza 99' version. I'm trying to stay under the 300$ range for everything, so I have a few technical questions
what servo are you using? i couldn't find one that matched with the one in your dscrptn
www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07N8YN59M/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A25D668S2Q0USJ&psc=1
is that the motor you are using?
what esc should I put on there if I want to get a 3s on there? I couldn't find one that matched the name in your description
what parts should I switch to aluminum for durability?
what tires do you recommend?
sorry for all the questions, I'm 14 and just want to know exactly what I need to get the car running after failing miserably with an fpv drone.
thanks in advance brother :)
Hi bro. The esc was a 120amp esc. You can use a GoolRC or Surpass Hobby. If you have a few more bucks you can use a Hobbywing Max10 SCT combo with motor. The SCT version of the Max 10 can handle more amperage. But a combo like this will work. www.amazon.com/Programming-Sensorless-Waterproof-Electronic-Controller/dp/B08LYH17L2/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=120%2Bamp%2Besc&qid=1606361816&sr=8-3&th=1
The servo isn't that important(it is but a cheaper one will suffice.) A good radio is important.
For speed runs you need at least 2 degrees. www.ebay.com/itm/Tamiya-54733-Tt-02-Aluminum-Rear-Uprights-3-0-Degree/264535904459?epid=595262254&hash=item3d979190cb:g:d04AAOSwM6Zd0Lyl
After that I would say Aluminum steering bel crank but it's not necessary for 80mph.
Pretty cool. But your so lucky you kept it straight
The nice thing about this car is once up to speed it tracks very straight. I actually got it to 90mph...see my newer vid.
Kaizer Test - so what mods did you do to that plastic car to handle the power?
@@2815Juan Nothing...just an aluminum motor mount. It has aluminum drive shaft as well. The power is mostly top end so it doesn't put a lot of torque on components.
Many people looked down on The tt02. I have bought one a few years ago, put it in The shelf because I bought an xray rx8 in its Place. But looking back it seems like I want to upgrade my tt02 to match your spec. Mine is The regular one btw.
I like the TT02 because its cheap and parts are plentiful. Plus its fun making something like a Tamiya go this fast. I have about 6 TT-02's (two TT02 Buggies and the rest street)
The diff's I have in the TT02R have steel gears but you can probably just put thick diff oil in your stock diff.
Kaizer Test Not a lot of cars can Go 100 mph. And even on The track, 3 digits is unheard of even in the Competive racing in 1/8 onroad. I’m really impressed By your build, but I intend to use The tt02 on a somewhat different purpose. i’m planning to modify my tt02 with Type RR rear and type S for the front. I wanted to create a built that could atleast do 70mph on The track and see if it can compete with The likes of serpent, xray, and mugen seiki.
