Seems like a nice system Frank, and really the price is very reasonable considering how much you will use it and how much you're really enjoying it. I thought it was advanced alien space technology on the T700 just having the Kaoko throttle lock so my right hand could take a break every now and then. You KTM guys have it made. Looking forward to a long term report.
No cruise for the Widget Guy, I'm more of a real rider that shy's away from the foo-foo farkles and relies on manpower and brutally grits the reins in my teeth and pushes through the relentless miles. Plus, I'm poor 😞@@ParallelCamper 🤣😂
update, i ordered this and had it more than 1/2 way installed and i had 2 wires pop off the veridian harness at the throttle intercept. needless to say, taking it out and returning it for a refund.
Hello Ron, I have about 300 miles with it now. (It's COLD here!) It's amazing. While not as smooth or accurate as my 790 CC, but its damn close enough and I am convinced it's going to be a game changer in the spring for my trip down to South Carolina for the Palmeto ADV Rally. - Frank
I forgot to mention: Its more expensive, but I recommend the 890 switch. It's a solid OEM part and in a good location. I think going to a toggle located wherever you could find a spot for it, would be far less appealing. - Frank
@@OneOldManRiding I agree. I don’t want to make it look like I just patched something together. I will maybe be sold one day, so refined is better. Thanks again Frank
Hello, congratulations on the new bike! I hope you are in climate where you can ride over the inter. I am partial to the Givi Airlfow myself. It's been great at keeping most of the air off of me. - Frank
I have cruise on my big Suzuki and it seems to work just fine. I really haven't used it much as the highways I normally ride have too much traffic to make it practical. With the big mile trips you take I do see its advantages. If I ever run the big highway miles I will likely appreciate it more.
Hello Rob, many bikes CC will not activate over 80 mph. It's possible no Gixer has ever been going slow enough to use CC! 🤔😜 I have crossed the country without so much as a throttle lock, so I admit CC is not required to ride any distance... But my trip out west this year... Oh I enjoyed cc on the 790. - Frank
Hello Scott, its MAGICAL 😉Not required, but its a nice feature to have. Its new, so I am using it a lot more than I normally would. No real complaints yet. Its finicky still, but I notice it less. I will be riding my 790 in two weeks... it will be interesting to see how different its CC feels after the 390 by Veridian. - Frank
I just wonder how difficult it would be to make an adapter for the factory KTM 890 combination switch. Difficult enough that no one is making them, I guess.
Hello Done, there has to be a maker working on it. The Veridian is working well, needs more tweaking, but at least the after market realizes some owners want cc. - Frank
Hello Tom, It was great up until the weather turned really cold! I do not have enough miles in it to review it, and I need to adjust to to set in increments of 1 mph. I have about 400 miles of cc, and it's still magical! - Frank
I did read that we can set it how we feel is best. That is trick. I know what you mean about the cold hi today was about 71f. Sorry, San Diego has a Mediterranean climate. Only problem is it's in commie-fornia.
@@tomg6284 I finally set it up today, and it works like a charm. I am from India, so it is 82 F today. I will post working and detailed installation videos soon on my channel. The problem here is the traffic. It's hard to find empty stretches like the US, one reason why radar-based CCs will never work in India. Never the less. Will post what I can.
Hello Nathan, it came with a printout of the instructions which were clear and had photos. They state two hours. That's not unreasonable, I would say over three of you, like me, have a ton of farkles int he way if removing things. - Frank
Hello Tim, the CC system is $450? And three hours to install. That's fair IMHO. It ads so much to the bike. I know you do not appreciate CC, and have no use for it on your ancient VStrom 😜 - Frank
Awesome thanks for the feedback! Please feel free to reach out, tuning of the system is all adjustable.

Always a pleasure to hear from you OBI-WAN. @@pilotdane1
Hello Dave, LOL
FRANK !!!! - This old guy doesn't use "CC" - even in the car - but still a cool video, and great information.
Another great video !!!!

Gixer Rob!
Hello Obi-Wan, I am spoiled by CC. It's warms my heart! ♥️😘😍 - Frank
Frank, thanks for posting, I just ordered the cruise. After a recent 3 day trip, I was painfully reminded that I NEED cruise control!

Got this motorcycle last weekend and cruise control (along with a bigger windscreen) are my first desired upgrades :)

I might post a vid on instal too.
