Traction control is complete off. It’s been off since I purchased the bike. On the way home I turned it all and haven’t looked back

Very tough … I will say all set ups aren’t created equal.
I’ve only had trouble with 2 R1’s and this is one of them 🦾🦾🦾

​@@DudeMungus I think its very telling that most people ive seen or heard of who are very quick on r1s are in the 130-160 pound range, but they will end up being even with or just slightly ahead of a 180-200ish pound guy riding a traditional inline 4 like a zx10 or gsxr.
Theres a good crossplane explained video here on youtube, about 20 ish minutes, but it explains why they use odd or uneven firing engines like that in moto gp.
It helps with controlling wheelies and getting traction leaving corners, since it spreads power pulses unevenly across the tire, which gives longer breaks inbetween the power pulses and makes the tire less likely to spin.
The disadvantage is that once your past a certain speed/rpm, theres no distinct advantage over a traditional 4, and its having to spin a secondary balance shaft which = more rotating mass to spin.
Theyre still very fast, but that engine isnt designed for more top end, its designed for more traction and useable power, not for having more top end.
They actually quit using traditional screamer 4s in gp when they changed tire carcasses for a slightly stiffer tire. After that inline 4s spun too much and the tires needed heat cycle breaks.
Cool stuff to study.
Crossplanes sound really good though, i do give them that. And have a distinct advantage on shorter tracks and on the twisties.
Regardless of sound and cornering ability though... I'm Sticking with my zook and kawi though...

You posting gps numbers going down a hill is funny. On another note these racing videos have become so repeatitive. Every video seems like the same video because you're racing the same people in the exact same spot. Need some variety in there buddy

This is the part many don’t care for but it’s what’s necessary to be fast than 95% of most bikes on the road
And finding good consistent people to run is difficult
Also realistically the perfect condition for what is being done doesn’t exist. So you work with what you have.
