Hey dude, one of my laptop fan is making grinding like noise and I am worried if it will damage and overheat my system. For about a month, it somehow fixed itself (after getting cleaned) but started the same thing again now. As long as it is spinning fine, is the noise merely an acoustic inconvenience as opposed to causing any functional problems? I will still get it fixed of course, but was just wondering if it was safe to use it till then as it is my main and only work machine.
@It's Binh (Been) Repaired & Reviewed CPU temps seem to be just fine. I was wondering if it could damage other components somehow. Please don't press on the blades themselves. Mine broke way too easily. Maybe pressing the inner ring would've been better. Oh well.. Ordered a new fan.
Bro I have the exact same fan.The problem with it is that I can easily rotate it manually. But when plugged inside the laptop it never rotates on it's own and requires a manual rotate to further keep rotating.
Yup, failing motor, or stuff caught inside the fan that you can't see, or a slightly warped blower housing (the sheet metal plates) that's touching the plastic fan blades. When you push it around by hand, do you hear any scraping, hissing, or ticking sound? If so, there's something touching the fan. When it does run (after you push it to get it going,) does it sometimes chatter or buzz? Short answer, spend $10-20 on eBay and get a replacement.

I can't say without seeing it. You can monitor your cpu temps to be sure
@It's Binh (Been) Repaired & Reviewed CPU temps seem to be just fine.
I was wondering if it could damage other components somehow.
Recently got some MOSFETs / resistors replaced in my laptop mobo due to faulty battery.
It is just over an year old so I was concerned that the fan issue might have indirectly caused that to happen.
The noise is exactly like in the video.
@@anmolagrawal5358 usually just the cpu as far as I know
Bless you for the INSIGHT
No problem
What if one if my laptops fan is wobbly? One of them is really solid while the other is a bit wobbly and it makes a buzzing noise
Might have to replace it
@@ItsBinhRepaired yeah thanks i managed to clean the dust it was still not working so i ordered a replacement fan

Please don't press on the blades themselves. Mine broke way too easily. Maybe pressing the inner ring would've been better. Oh well.. Ordered a new fan.
Yeah, if you can reach the inner ring, that works best. I made a playlist of all the different methods.
Too late😢
:(
Hey guys. Anyone knows when I can find only these blades to buy?
Nope

Bro I have the exact same fan.The problem with it is that I can easily rotate it manually. But when plugged inside the laptop it never rotates on it's own and requires a manual rotate to further keep rotating.
Possibly failed motor. You'll have to replace it.
@@neuromonkey yeah
The plastic tabs are only a way to make it harder to repair by yourself.
Yup
Please tutor fan msi ge76 raider!
I don't own the laptop.
what if blades dont come out?
You'll need to replace the fan.
@@ItsBinhRepaired thanks for answer, after some hours, i fixed it by pouring some fan grease on the ring, like and sub

just be careful with the aluminium cover. it can be sharp and cut the skin
Hmmm Possibly
@@ItsBinhRepaired I just remembered, I opened the fan, otherwise without opening it should be ok.
:)
What if I say I broken up the Axel😭😭
Then you'll have to replace the fan
I think so
my question is that wht will hpn if i use hair oils?
You're gonna rub it in your hair? Your fan will go bad again real soon.
Can electrical tap work when sealing it too? Like from brands by 3M? Or does it have to be thin clear tap?
Also, I really appreciate your video!
Any tape would be fine, but I don't like electrical tape because the adhesive usually gets all gooey after a while.
@@ItsBinhRepairedwhat type of tape would you recommend? I cant find an answer anywhere on what kind of tape that is.
Should've shown running
Yeah, sorry
