I saw this yesterday and I thought it was a really heartbreaking movie. Loved the acting of the male protagonist especially in the last scene, I literally felt his regret and pain. He's a really good actor, both of them actually.. 💔 Such a wonderful film..
I read the original novel 桜のような僕の恋人 and if that isn't motivation to learn japanese I don't know what is!!! It made me cry so much. Keisuke uyama is such an underrated author

@@Amy-G-Dala- I got the physical book! don't think an online copy is available online for free yet (legal or illegal) and there isn't an english translation as far as I know. but there are chinese versions already out in Taiwan I think!
The ONLY thing I viewed before watching this film was the brief preview on Netflix that automatically plays. It was the scene when Misaki cuts Haruto’s hair for the first time. I was just stupidly like, “Awww this looks like such a cute and fun romance. Let’s watch it teehee. 🌸💖😻” Yeah, learn from my mistake and watch an actual trailer first. My heart has been ripped to pieces and stomped on repeatedly. I was just in the mood for a sweet and simple love story. THANKS, Netflix.
Yeah same I watched 21st Century Girl before this movie and wanted a cuter, brighter ending to watch. I’ve been deceived.

Just WOW! a 10+. Such a warm heartfelt movie…I am glad he didn’t recognize her in the snow…the memories of what they had before, needed to remain in their hearts ..I cried more than any movie I have ever seen…a wake up call to love and enjoy every minute with the one you love💕❤️💕

And I have just finished watching.
It is a good movie touched very deeply. As the lead actor is one of my fav among japanese actors, I was so excited.Both the lead and misaki's brother played the role very well. Their expression , emotions seen nicely.

What a tragic end to such a beautiful love story
Today's my dayoff, and I was like "Ok Movie time, time to relax". Lay down on my sofa, Went to Netflix, been scanning for 20-30 mins. can't decide what to watch, Pressed "Surprise me" button. This movie pops out. I end up crying. 😭 Brilliant movie. nonetheless.

When he shouted “what do you mean?” Oh that hit me hard. The actor really performed well. Although the graphics gave me more Korean vibes (specifically because of peach blossom tree) but the overall looks and names makes it so visible they are Japanese characters.
Did you mean sakura/cherry blossom? It has been a thing in every japanese adaptation for a long time though
It definitely gave me Japanese vibes. Kdrama and Jdrama are clearly different. I prefer the cinematography of kdramas tho
@@superultrahypersayumitime1558 I didn’t know about the Sakura/cherry blossom thing since I haven’t seen much Japanese content. I did saw few anime in childhood where the cherry blossom did happen but kinda on specific occasions. Korean contents however kept this more common. Both are great in their own way. I might start watching J-content soon to be more specific. Thanks for letting me know.

Easily one of top 5 saddest movies I've seen. Perhaps it is better to have never been in a relationship like me. Than it is to have been in one and lost the person. This movie makes me happy that I have chosen to wander along through life. It is far less painful journey.

I just randomly clicked on the title since I knew the male lead and the thumbnail was gorgeous to begin with, but it's great. The plot is good enough, the acting is amazing, even the soundtrack is great. The movie is beautiful as a whole.
My heart really ached hearing Kenty (the male lead) scream, he really did a great job. I'm already excited to watch any of his upcoming movies/dramas! Though, I personally think Misaki's brother role is the MVP.

after watching First love (which reminded me of my younger years and my 1st heart ache) this drama is in my recommendation list so i gave it a try today ~ damn i never knew japanese dramas are this good! why the hell she had that damn disease!?
