Breaking bad feels somehow more grounded in reality compared to other crime shows when you watch it but when you hear it all simplified that way you realize how absurd all of it is lol
That’s why it’s good, imo. The characters are realistic enough that you can suspend your disbelief about the situations they’re in
Especially because I live in Albuquerque. Obviously some things are changed like sauls office, los pollos hermanos, etc. but the street names are correct, and the people talk like they are from abq. It really felt realistic

Well tbf, Aaron Paul is recapping the series in the form of Jesse, and Jesse tends to not have the best vocabulary, so when you recap it in his way, it obviously is going to sound a lot stranger than how it was executed.

It has a great summary when Jessie shows the mexican guys how yo cook meth i mean you feel proud of him while he standing there and teach them then you see how a fly episode affects you and series

I saw an article on buzzfeed where he talks about how 95% of casting and crew people didn’t want him to play Jesse, but Vince was like nah, I want him.

We have been bingeing the show again just for the movie... it’s been a rough 3 weeks! Lol
The episode about killing the fly was so much bigger than a fly!!!
It was about how Walt is as a person, his attitude on everything in life, about the guilt and what’s bothering him in this lifestyle he chose, about the relationship that’s semi honest between him and Jesse, about how Jesse is toward life and also background with his family, about how they learned from each other in this weird situation and Mr white being vulnerable and honest when he was least expected…
Some may say this episode is boring because it doesn’t have explosion or people getting killed. But I say it’s good it’s different, makes the story believable and real with character building.
Yeess. Not only that, but is the first episode when Walt becomes worse than Jesse, and Jesse becomes a better person than Walt. They've been getting Closer and that episode IS the threshold for the roles reversed
I just discovered breaking bad through youtube shorts and boy I am so hooked. Almost like I watched an entire season just looking at this yt shorts clips. Best movie indeed. I like the character consistency. Like you know each character have this core attitude and it remains consistent throughout the show. It's marvelous. Builds bond to the character. You feel attached through each of the character

While it wasn't an episode filled with much the importance of it falls to the fact that Walt is feeling the guilt of his actions, cooking and his obsession with the money from it has caused what, over 130 people to die. He's stalling so he can address the contaminate, which is the fly, which represents his guilt. Not a useless episode, you just didn't pay attention

That Pinkman role is one of the most impressive performance of all times, maybe the hardest character to play in tv shows history.
He plays all the range of human emotions, plus it's a physical performance in lots of scenes.
The last role that comes to my mind in terms of hardness/performance was Eli Wallach in the Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Eli was around 50 at the time, which seems unbelievable.
Well Aaron was in his 30s for that show. It must have been super hard to play all those crazily intense scenes all along

WOW! What an amazing recap! I remember seeing this recap video back in 2019 but never finished watching breaking bad when I first started watching it back in 2015-2016ish, for some reason I gave up right before mike bugs walts house and the pizza remains on the roof. I decided 4 days ago to watch the first episode as I forgot what happened in the series which didn't plan to rewatch it. I was just bored and wanted to fall asleep watching it. After I finished the first episode, those cliff hangers hit me hard, I had to watch the next episode. And little did I know, I ended watching the entire seasons within 4 days finishing today! I now remembered this recap and had to refer to it after completing breaking bad and here I am. About to watch El Camino and plan to watch "Better Call Saul" as many people say it is as good as breaking bad. Definitely recommend watching Breaking Bad through episodes even if some are boring, never give up and continue through them, as it gets better. Highly recommend!

I've just finished watching that episode and watching that part in this video where he said "sorry Gale" really hits different now. The sad thing about Gale's death is that he wasn't necessarily innocent but wasnt really a bad guy neither, which makes it more difficult for Jesse do it.
@@Ivan-ei8ww yes!! I've watched the show several times to analyze it for a deeper meaning & Gale's role is so so significant despite his short screen time. He played towards the theme while also effecting ALL of the characters whether it was first hand or second hand. Really loved how they used the character, but it was literally so sad I almost cried the first time 😂😂
