Unless you had a chance to watch Mike play in the 80’s you will never understand, the cat like quickness, ability to drop 50 on any given night, lockdown defense, his assassin like approach to his opponents and his knowledge of the game is unmatched. And then the best proof that pippen was better for winning: 1994 bulls went 55-27 without Jordan. Bulls took the Knicks to 7 games in the ECSF without Jordan in 1994. Then in 1995 Jordan came back and the bulls lost to the magic in 6 games.
Then in 1996, Rodman joined the team and they made history. For winning, pippen and Rodman are better.
If pippen and Rodman played on the 1994 team without Jordan, they would have won the chip.

Also helped them go from 19 wins to 37 wins the following season. In fact, they had more wins under MJ than the Lakers had this year🤷♂️Quite telling!!!

- Tracy McGrady was the only player with at least 25-6-5 at the end of the 2001/02 season, yet that's what Jordan at age 38 with multiple injuries averaged before his knee injury.
His numbers were also IMPROVING as the season went on:
- In his last 20 games up to the injury he averaged 27.5 PPG - 6.4 RPG - 5.2 APG - 1.3 SPG - 0.5 BPG on 44%
- In his last 10 games up to the injury he averaged 29.7 PPG - 6.6 RPG - 6.1 APG - 1.2 SPG - 0.3 BPG on 47%
Dude was damn near 40 years old and basically averaging 30/6/6 while managing the following issues:
- tendinitis in both knees
- nursing the broken ribs he got in the off-season from Ron Artest
- fluid buildup in knees forcing him to miss last few days of practice before the season opener
- sliced index finger on shooting hand
Before his knee injury, MJ was absolutely still one of the top players in the league... after coming off a 3-year retirement, he was putting up multiple +30 and +40-point games at 2 years older than Lebron was this past season. That's insane. GOAT.

In 5 games, the Jazz defeated the 1997 Lakers with a prime Shaq, Kobe, Nick Van Exel, Cedric Ceballos, Eddie Jones, (5 All-Stars) and a deep bench. In 1998, the Jazz SWEPT the Lakers.
Jordan led the Bulls to defeat the Jazz in 6 games each time. Although the '98 Bulls were riddled with injuries, Jordan's WILL informed both teams that the Bulls would win the championship.

From 88 to 98 Jordan was all world. Lebron hasn’t touched that, but he has had longevity at being good. 26, 7 and 7 for as long as he has done it is extremely good. He falls off on defense a bit which is why it would be between him and Kareem who also had similar numbers but also great of D. Neither touch Jordan as the best.
I agree with Gilbert there. I think Jordan is the GOAT, most definitely. However players like Jordan, Magic, Bird, who are obviously great and we can see that through videos, but they're basically seen today as a myth. They're on an elevated level of renowned.
