It would have been nice if you showed how to put the rivets in. I'm just learning this kind of stuff, and like most people we use this platform to learn a lot about the "How to" videos. Other than that, it was a great video, good stuff with lots of information and definitely worthwhile to watch. It looks really good, and you did a great job. Thank you for sharing and posting.
What type of system is being used for the topper ? What mount system is being used and what type of rack system is being used ? Do you have a video to show how to mount to topper
Hi David, There is no specific weight rating on this kit but the rack gets mounted to the pinch weld which is the strongest point in the roof. In most cases, automotive manufacturers do not publish weight ratings and if they do, it usually referencing the factory roof rack. Same as Land Cruisers, 4Runners and Tacomas. The rack is fully welded and we typically tell folks the racks will handle 500+lbs, depending on what the rack is actually mounted to. I (Morgan) have a K9 rack, tent and awning mounted on my Sequoia and my dynamic weight is somewhere around 300lbs, my static weight is closer to 600lbs with two of us in the tent. Never had any concerns and I've driven that vehicle hard and fast off road without issue. Hope that helps!
Hi there Bennett, we do not have part numbers to reference on our site but please see the links below for details. Email us if you have any questions! www.equipt1.com/collections/roof-rack-by-vehicle/products/toyota-tundra-gen-3-k9-roof-rack-kit www.equipt1.com/collections/roof-rack-by-vehicle/products/truck-shell-k9-roof-rack-kit Best regards,
There are no predrilled holes in the roof of the Tundra, there were no factory rack options so no threaded mounts were needed. This installation will require drilling.
We're not aware of a Tundra rack system that doesn't require holes to be drilled. These trucks did not come with factory rack options so Toyota did not install mounting points in the roof. We drill holes in roofs of vehicles all the time but we understand it's a major commitment and too invasive for some.

Nice Video. Do you remember how much weight can this type of rack installation hold?

Please post the part numbers used for the roof and camper shell racks. Make it easy for us to order this setup for our Tundras!

Is a Pretty good job !! The top hat can be buy separate or does it come with the roof rack?
Please call if you would like to order the top hat brackets individually.
Is it possible to order just the mounting brackets?
Yes! You can order individual components on our website under Roof Racks > Components
Seems like one of the best ideas to mount a sturdy rack but you skipped over the most difficult parts of the procedure!
Great video overall. Some steps were missing in the video and just a lit bit more of care with the stuff on the roof.
Thanks for watching and thanks for the feedback!
What rack is on top of your camper shell?
That is the Eezi Awn K9 Truck Shell kit, www.equipt1.com/collections/roof-rack-by-vehicle/products/truck-shell-k9-roof-rack-kit
doesnt the tundra have pre drilled holes? I know the tacoma does? anyone

I'm not drilling into my Tundra's roof.

Spider rack makes a roof rack that does not require drilling. It is almost a grand though.
@@michaelbanks4005 Thanks ....thats what I'll be looking into when I do get one then.
Throwing rack pieces on top of the roof as you film shows a lack of care and says a lot about your company.
This is our shop truck/baja 1000 chase truck/tow rig, it sees far worse than that.
I agree you should have put some protection on the roof!
