I think the “experience” (you can do many other similar train trips in other places) doesn’t outweigh the political dangers that this whole thing surrounds. If you happen to have a passport that says you’re North Korean they’ll send some lead through you. I don’t want to be in a situation where the type of passport you have makes the differences between staying alive or not.
Just love the station facilities that's some buffet bar and why is the platform as big as airport runway for one train a day or maybe even a week? Suppose it matches Pyongyang, lots of space so no need for public facilities which need drains, water and power supplies.

yeah they do, i was to another (much smaller) chinese border town and they got a whole park there where you could watch north korea, there were boat trips by the border river etc

Very easy to follow the trains route watching this video and looking at Google earth Street view at the same time.

I have even located some of the buildings in the video on Google Maps.
