that's unlikely because we are free to travel almost anywhere (or at least it was the case recently) and we and our peers are free to talk with each other about our experiences. If there are any discrepancies between what travellers have seen and what we're taught by the authorities, then the travellers would have told us
Exactly, and you know we are in trouble if a refugee from NK doesn’t feel totally free in a western country (especially the US). I think that life becomes much more difficult as you become fully awakened because we previously succumbed to the brainwashing and lies which we were sold of not being deserving of better or worthy of more as a defense mechanism. It just makes it much easier to get through everyday life if you go about it this way, rather than waking up to the realization that you should not just have to accept the situation for what it is or settle for it. However, it’s absolutely necessary to go through awakening, otherwise you just go through life as a robot....

This makes me think of a discount store with a section for all sorts of random items left over from other branches that they hope someone will buy and get it off their hands.
There was one of those discount stores not too far from me that me and a buddy used to go to back in the early through mid 90s . Fascinating place because one could buy tools , knives ,camping gear ,housewares ,clothing , books , collectables ,and even rock specimens ,and science stuff among other offerings. The Place closed down quite a while ago though .
I would assume China. All that stuff is made there anyway. Wouldn't be hard to make some extra, as all of that stuff is pretty much subcontracted work, so the actual brands have very little control over production. Or possibly a few cases "fell off" a truck somewhere. Large dollar items like cars and things are bought by shell companies and probably shipped to China, then just brought over the border.

6:35 ¿IG de la minita? :V (PD: Great video, bro. I know that you just showed a privileged part of the country, but It gave me a different perspective of North Korea.)
I just want to mention: it is very common for goods not allowed or not commonly available in a country to be available inside diplomatic compounds. This includes things like foreign brands that are difficult to find in the host country, but also prohibited items. For example, in a country that does not allow alcohol, you could likely find it in the embassy commissary of a country that does allow it. In certain countries where pork is difficult or impossible to find, or ridiculously expensive, embassy compounds will offer pork products at average prices for the other country. So like a pack of bacon might be extremely difficult to find in a Muslim country, and if you do find it it’s like $50 for a pack. You go to the commissary in the US embassy compound and they’ll sell it for $5 for the American employees. This video shows the extreme version, but access to forbidden items is a pretty common perk for diplomats.
4:10 I realized and echo the same sense of an eerily lifeless business and a front for normality. No noise, no background music, no sound of people on their phones or staff chatting. It's like an item shop with well groomed ghosts in a Fallout simulation.

Frank Sinatra’s, “My Way” playing in the back is ironic. The fearless leader must sing it every day to himself.
My Way is actually a French song. So what you hear can actually be "Comme D'habitude" by Claude François.
At least it’s not Usher - My Way 😂
Meanwhile a very creepy version of ‘I Did It My Way’ is playing over the stores speakers system, that’s a very fitting song for the regime. Imagine if we are the ones brainwashed about the outside world.
TheMadisonmccarthy 😲
We are brainwashed about a lot of things. The difference is that we worship money and consumer goods whereas they worship the state. (Our brainwashing is way better)
that's unlikely because we are free to travel almost anywhere (or at least it was the case recently) and we and our peers are free to talk with each other about our experiences.

My question is:
*How branded things like L'OREAL is exist in North Korea?*
One answer: Russia & China, plus these guys have 3rd party or Gray Companies operating as a front overseas particularly in the EU
WebXT / PW they import them secretly because they aren’t allowed to buy them direct
@@telaandias3531 Can you describe this more, please? How does it work?
Most likely fakes imported from China or possibly even legit l'oreal just imported through the grey market

I wonder how much profit this store gets in a day.
There is no profit in communism.. all money all money goes to the regime.. the regime pays all people enough to basically die on. Thats communism. These people work hard for nothing.. unless its a corrupt store like a1 high ranking ,ember of govt who owns it..
A lot. The point is pretty much gathering as much foreign currency as possible.

Being inside the store would make me so anxious...
Interesting. I noticed the, 'Always' brand and had the question of American products sold in NK. Thanks for the explanation.
If this is a store for diplomats, what does a regular store look like?
