Every video on YT should be like this one: starts with a brilliant idea, and presents it quickly and simply, without junk, fluff, rambling, or annoying music. Well done, sir!

Nothing more frustrating than 30mins of music and watching stupid stuff to get 2mins of useful information.

i just watched maybe a dozen or so videos on different retractable casters designs and this one is probably the best one.
    the simplest and most effective.
and if there is a bunch of weight on top and you can't give it a little lift, you can easily use a 2x4 as a lever to pop it up quick

I made a copy of this and fitted it to my work-benches. Although it works well, of course - here's a hint for others who want to retrofit to an existing bench...
In hindsight, I would have made up each wheel as a unit mounted onto a right-angle frame made from 2 pieces of the same wood as the levers, but cut a bit longer. Then I could have screwed the completed units to the leg and upper support piece corner more comfortably & quickly than I did.
As it was, no matter where you swing them, it is very difficult to screw both hinges in place due to the 2 lever pieces overlapping each other (both hinges sit inside a square that they form). One would block access to the screws for the other. I ended up putting each second hinge in with a stubby screwdriver - very slow and uncomfortable. Had I made them up as units, I could have just screwed the backing plates together at the corner once the hinges were mounted to each plate, then mounted them to the bench via pre-drilled screw holes at accessible places (ie not in the hinged levers area). Lesson learned!

I was looking for something that levered up onto the wheels, due to my wife once having to move (drag) benches while I was temp'ry incapacitated, but I can just make a simple foot-operated lever out of 2 bits of scrap wood & hang it on the end since that will be rarely used.
