- I had customized this Yukon workbench from Harbor Freight and thought it would be great to be able to move it around as needed. I purchased these Ronlap Workbench Casters from Amazon with a 880 Lbs Capacity. They have 3" Extra Heavy Duty Retractable Casters with 4 to a pack. They are Side Mounted adjustable table stepdown casters that are very easy to install. These are a cheap easy way to make any bench, cabinet, working surface mobile. Very DIY friendly.
If you're looking to add casters to your workbench, the Ronlap Workbench Casters are a great option. These casters are specifically designed to make your workbench mobile, allowing you to easily move it around your workspace as needed. Here are some key features and considerations:
Sturdy construction: Ronlap Workbench Casters are typically made of heavy-duty materials like steel, which ensures their durability and stability. They can support the weight of a workbench and its contents.
Locking mechanism: The casters usually come with a locking mechanism that securely holds the workbench in place when engaged. This prevents any unwanted movement while you're working.
Swivel design: The casters are often designed with a swivel mechanism, allowing for smooth and easy maneuverability. This feature enables you to navigate around obstacles or change directions effortlessly.
Load capacity: Before purchasing the casters, it's essential to check their load capacity to ensure they can handle the weight of your workbench. Different models may have different weight limits, so choose one that suits your requirements.
Installation: Ronlap Workbench Casters are generally easy to install. They usually come with mounting brackets or plates that can be attached to the legs or base of your workbench. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for proper installation.
Compatibility: Check the compatibility of the casters with your workbench. Ensure that the dimensions and design of the caster's mounting system match the legs or base of your workbench.
Flooring considerations: Consider the type of flooring in your workspace. If you have uneven or rough surfaces, opt for casters with larger wheels that can handle those conditions. Additionally, if you have delicate flooring, consider casters with softer wheels that won't damage the surface.
Adding casters to your workbench can significantly enhance its functionality by providing mobility and flexibility. With the Ronlap Workbench Casters, you can easily move your workbench to different areas of your workspace or create additional space when needed.

Great video, really like how that bench turned out. Also since I criticized it last time the audio on this one spot on with music and voice over!!
Thank very much
Awesome!! I'm fixing to install some tomorrow. Mine have black levers, going to sand and paint them orange. Thank you.
Thank you.
Excellent video, thank you!
This should be awesome for my bass cab!
Nice! 💯
Thank you for this video. Just what I was looking for for my work bench
Glad to help.
@@WackeyWorxWorkshop I’ll make sure to order through your link if it’s an affiliate link.
@@RubberTrampRenegade yes it is. Thank you.
Nice finish touch to your mobile workbench!!!
Thanks Joey
Would these work if you fasten them on the inside facing each other?
They would as long as you had a way to reach them.
Hi Matt, thank you for the video. The manufacturer states that the kit of 4 castors, can hold up to 920 lbs.; (I assume, 230lbs. each). My bench is about 330 lbs. When I engage one castor on one corner, about half of the bench's weight (165 lbs.), will be resting on that one castor, until I am able to engage the second castor. In your opinion, will that be too much temporary weight for the one castor? Thank you.
@@MikeManwarren-r3b I do not represent the manufacturer but I have used them on mini benches that I have some of them weighing up to 900 lb and I have had no problems lifting the caster up all from one caster until I get the other one up.
Very informative. Really digging that song you have going on in this clip too. Who is that? Thanks!
Not sure. Came from a free site. Thank you for watching and love the comments.
I just bought the exact table from Harbor Freight ( could not build one for $159.00 ) and also ordered the same casters on Amazon. My question is - when retracted are the wheels completely off the floor or do they barely touch ? Thank you for this video. Helps out alot !
Thanks for watching and commenting. Yes the wheels are completely off the ground. In fact at that point you can freely move them up and down without lifting the table.
Matt I notice you have two benches joined together and you have both vises on the same side, did you have to modify the second bench in order to do this. I have one I assembled today, however, I plan to drop the bottom down lower so I can add more draws
I believe I answered this for you on the last video, but, I modified the second bench by swapping the drawer placement from one side to the other. I had to drill a couple holes to make it line up but that way I can have the vices on the same side.
Thank you did you make a video to show what you did@@WackeyWorxWorkshop
@@bobbydelaurasorry, I did not.
how hard it is to press on the wheel's paddle if it was loaded with 300kg?
@@yahiaalhaj5771 honestly it's not that bad. Maybe 10-15 lb of pressure
So is the 880 lb. total based on dividing the 880 by 4? In other words, 220 per caster? Thanks
Yes, 220lb per caster
Hello its good contained video
May iknow what type and brand is for that wheel
Thanks for watching. It should be in the description, Ronlap. There's also a link in the description.
Would these casters work on a pool table on garage floor?
@@dynad.8118 I don't see why not. The weight of a pool table's less than what is maxed out on these casters. And as long as you don't have big cracks or anything in the floor, I think it'd be fine.
i bought mine and having difficulty wiith the install.... haha, maybe i will use the templ1
@@ekhoromeo It does help
Where can I get instructions and template? Did not come in box when shipped. Company had been non responsive when requested.
Steve
I found the instructions under the removable cardboard piece on the bottom. I was working myself up into a real snit when I had nothing but pictures online to work from. I took everything out of the box and the supportive bottom fell out. There were the instructions and template.
Great tutorial, but I was more focused at the end where you had 2 of the same benches connected together 🤔
I is the Harbor Freight Yukon bench. I have a video of putting that together as well
Nice
Thank you
Good clip, you explained clearly, but your background music was horrible, very unrelaxing¿
Thanks for watching.
I purchased this one. No temple in box.
I would return it if I don't feel comfortable drilling the holes
Huh, I see the plastic bags they wrap the parts in didn't protect your orange paint either! 🤬🤬🤬
You are correct sir

👍👍👍
These are the most money wasting casters I have ever bought. $40 down the drain. Sure these will work on a completely flat surface but NOT if you want to take your bench outside of the garage. My floor of my garage is built up close to an inch so the casters hit the garage floor edge and causing me to lift the end of my 150lb bench to get the casters on the floor. Another problem is I do not like their footprint. Live and learn.
Thanks for your input.
1 inch maybe bigger wheels may work. I just installed them on my metal work table or by four three-quarter inch solid steel top very heavy. I ended up welded to it seems to work going to probably buy some more for two other tables
