I'm really impressed with atlas 4. However the sizing could have been better. I orderd a SM at 56cm but it was so tight I had too remove some foam from the cheek pads which solved the problem. Great helmet in matt black and dark and clear visor. Best with pinlock. I also purchased the predator hoodie from engine hawk. Love that too.
Yo appreciate this video man. I have been contemplating getting another helmet, and have been looking at the Ruroc. I’ve been hesitant though because I wasn’t sure if I could get my motovlog set up transferred over. This was very helpful. Good to see that an external mic for the GoPro and the mic for the shockwave fit together.
Glad I could help! I used this all last season for all my sturgis vlogs and test ride videos. Getting ready for first video of the season with it this week (we literally had snow here last week. Vermont sucks 🤣).

I just got the 11. Just a heads up 5k tends to overheat when filming for more than 5 mins, so I'd pull it back to 4k until they resolve that issue.
@@MOTOBLADE Yeah I planned to only film in 2 or 4k as most people still watch YT in 1080p. Plus it saves on battery life

Good Video, I thought you would have given a bit of a clip of you on your bike with it to see/hear the setup. Hope that is coming soon as I should be receiving my 4.0 by end of May.
Will be coming soon. First Motovlog I make this year will be with this setup. Just got all the snow gone about a week ago, roads still a mess and it's been raining for a couple days. I'm chomping at the bit to get out on the bikes.

Where did you get the mic for the go pro without needing the adapter?
There is an adapter on the GoPro. That whole black frame that goes around the GoPro is the "adapter" it's called the MediaMod. It's made by GoPro. The microphone plugs into the back of that. Would be nice if GoPro made a camera one day with a standard mic plug in with no need for an adapter.
Did you not use the little adapter piece that came with the mount? Thought it kinda sucked that it has an adapter but not enough screws
Yes I did. I replaced the nut with a flat nut I had to slim everything down and put a bolt through it permanently. Little change I made later on. The bolt is just the right length so it doesn’t stick out like a GoPro thumb screw. So there’s only one GoPro thumb screw now when I attach my camera to the little adapter piece. Hope all that makes sense.
@@MOTOBLADE yeah I know what you mean, I've just literally today had to re apply some 3m tape and some loctite glue putty to try and hold it on the helmet! It's a terrible mount tbh, it fell off after a couple of weeks... Thankfully it was at home
@@ryanstocksmusic the mount is nice being shaped for the helmet, but the 3m tape they used is garbage. Mine lasted til a hot day at a rally then melted off. Thankfully I caught the camera! I used gorilla glue to re-adhere it. It ain’t coming off now! Solid

Just went out with it. I love it. So comfortable and quiet. Best helmet I've ever used (and I've tried a bunch). I was skeptical at first, especially worried because of how pricey it was. Glad I got it now, definitely worth it.

I also bought the atlas 4 with the gopro support and I wanted to understand if the support had the attachment screw or only had the chromed bolt
It only came with the bolt to me
Just the bolt is all that came for me. I had dozens of screws laying around from other gopro kits so I used one of those.
But you use two different microphones?
One microphone is from the helmet Bluetooth headset that I pair to my phone for audio and phone calls. The other is for the GoPro.

Dude I got ripped off, my little metal end piece that you screw into the mount to get the screw to lock, came detached from the mount so I have no way of screwing it in💀
You can pick those little nuts up for about 10 cents at a hardware store. Take the screw and piece with you and find a small nut that matches. I've lost them out of other mounts before so I bought a bunch to have on hand.
