👍👌👏 Oh WOW, simply fantastic! Thanks a lot for making explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and health to all involved people.
WOW - What a gorgeous MACK B-61. Nice to see this old veteran restored and now enjoying the leisurely life of retirement while being pampered and admired.
I am a kid again sittin in the passenger seat, barely seeing over the dash, but able to see down the hoodline!! Got chills watching that hood swing into a turn...
When I 1st started out in 72/73" They were still running strong. I actually started at a Concrete pipe co. in 84' & we still had a couple 10 wheel mixers & dumps we used dailey. The dispatcher asked me if I could drive a Quad-box,,, I said Yeah! I didn't know anyone still had any runnin. LOL He put me in an old R-Model trailer dump with a Quad.
First truck I ever drove on the road back in the 60s 62 b61 qubox. Drivers don't know how nice this new trucks, but with dot and all the new laws I'm glad I retired 2yrs ago.
hey I`m not a smart old guy just an old guy but I have in my hand a dealers spec. sheet for the B-61T (tractor) END-673 Thermodyne, 672 CID, 170 hp at 2100 rpm no mention any where to 711 ?
I was suicide jockey in one. spring ride seat, no heat had 2-50 air conditioning, duplex, thermodyne. I bought a2006 peterbilt in July of '05 it was great, but I still missed the days of B61. Driving was more work, but did not have all rules and dot laws out there now.
any of these old mack guys answer a question for me? have a 1961 and 63 but its the 61 i believe, just like this with a 711 in it, for whatever reason the starter will not start the truck... it turns and turns and turns and turns but will not fire and not slow either... however if you pull it and drop the clutch it pops right off like its brand new, if you shut it off again it will not start without a pull, once in a blue moon it will start but usually not. it seems 100% random. anyone have an answer to this? do i need a fuel pump rebuild? is it govenor related? im lost, hate to drop 1000-1500 on a fuel pump and not get anywhere
I've always wondered why all B-models Macks - with the exception of the factory-built firetruck versions - all had green painted cab interiors, regardless of the external color. Anybody have an answer?
The one I grew up around was black, with a black dash and most of the rest of the interior was blue. Sadly there wasn't much left of it when I paid it a visit this summer after not seeing it for almost 20 years.
Would love to see this beautiful truck pulling a trailer....this truck sounds like new....would be right at home pulling heavy equipment or anything else
what a great looking truck. I spent 9 yrs in a truck garage but a garage across the road had this model that was never repaired. now I know what it looked like new . thanks. one question? does that have a shutterstat on the rad.

My families business had B-42P's , a B-68 and some B-61's . Learned to drive in the B-68. Gas six with a duplex --- Ken

Lots of memories, we have a 1962 B-61 it was my dads lowboy truck. I spent a lot of time riding with him when I was little kid!!!
Sweet ride glad to see it found a good home
Woah, lemme pick by jaw up off the floor. I love B-series Macks and this one is especially well done.
First truck I ever drove on the road back in the 60s 62 b61 qubox. Drivers don't know how nice this new trucks, but with dot and all the new laws I'm glad I retired 2yrs ago.
You know someone is serious about their truck when it has its own barn
Haha! Right!!! I feel that the barn is lucky to have it's own beautiful Mack🔥
That's one beautiful Mack. I wonder did the 711 stand for the cubic inches of the thermodyne?

A 711 was 707 cubic inches
Love that beautiful sound of that truck. I grew up riding in the one my Dad drove.
Que placer conducir este camion. Me gustaria darme ese gusto una vez en mi vida.
That is one beautiful truck sounds good to👍
Den er virkelig flot
Too bad there weren't more views of the shifting. I assume it's a 9- or 10-speed.

this guy is a pro, smooth shifting like Zio Stefano with his b line mack.
He'll be happy to hear that, it had been a while since he last drove this truck, he said he felt rusty.
the trucks that won the war and built the nation
Best looking trucks ever built.
The original aerodynamic body design.
Those body lines make that truck look tough as nails. That original green dash is gorgeous
B-61, what a piece of art. Thanks
Robert
Perfect condition. Probably better than new.
beautiful truck my dad drove 1 like many others back in the day
did the nose have to be lengthened for the 711 to fit?
They were the same size and looked almost identical to an END673.
Fantastic! just love Mack trucks
Is this truck now considered an antique for registration purposes?
Yes.
Im in love 😍
707 Mack
Dats a real truck not like the plastic junk they make today

Mack and Sterling thought that a certain color of soft green was much more soothing and calming to the driver.
All green on b models early r models and u models
Wow Real Nice !, Thumbs Up Liked for you.
Would love to see this beautiful truck pulling a trailer....this truck sounds like new....would be right at home pulling heavy equipment or anything else
Since I have seen this landscape, I can imagine why it is "God's Own Country".
Thanks a lot!
Truly is a beautiful part of the world.

I'll ask the owner and get back to you.
listen to that music
You sale?
The orginal Scania V8!
Nope. That'd be the END-864. This is the END-711, which is in the same family as the 864.
Nope...
Sounds like a 707
WHAT A NICE OLD MACK, TOO BAD THEIR NOT AMERICAN MADE ANYMORE. I MISS THE TRUE AMERICAN MADE MACK.
