The Firebird is coming along nicely. Be interesting to see what it runs in the 1/8 mile, now you have the crash beams out of the doors along with other weight savings. Keep up the great work.
It’s actually the same weight it was last time it ran. I cut the crash beams out a long time ago. The car is 2750lbs as it sits and has gone 7.33 in the 8th. The big thing that will make it faster is 26x11.5 drag radials instead of the 28x12.5. After that I finally want to get fiberglass doors.
nice cleanup, ive made my own custom hoods back in the day and yes. with the right person you can totally mod the hood and pract make it look stock. wish i was close,id totally set it up when you switched out the intake.
I’ve also considered modifying the ram lid to fit better under the hood.

Are 350 V-8s from before 1970 rare to find right now? how would you feel about having a carb/distributer engine from pre 1970?
@@Sonoma_Coast it’s not that they’re rare, it’s that the LS totally outclasses any small block. I have a small block in my el Camino (for now) and also in the Monza. The novelty of them is cool but you can’t beat the performance and modernism of an LS.
@@travisblack417 I'm old, so that's what I was using in that time of my life. Technology has Always been a struggle. You have quite the intelligence for it. But I'm getting an understanding. Hope you can make a good amount of money in the future. Maybe working as a Tech somewhere?
