Your home prices that you quote are about 1/2 of the actual prices for a House. Prices you are quoting would only get you 1 or 2 bedroom apartment. There are no houses for sale less then $1,000,000 on the North Shore
Holy shit.
So I'm retired thinking of moving to Oahu, I want to "RENT" a apartment, I like lots of people, coffee shops, restaurants, shopping, Oh, and I love the beach. I use a Handicap scooter for distance, but can walk. Where would you suggest for me? I could live in a "residence hotel" that catered to tourists and residents.
There are no affordable areas on any Hawaiian islands. Everything has to be imported. So the prices are high. Even many natives have moved to the main land.
There's someplace affordable in Hawaii?!? Cost of living is quite high which are not revealed in this video. How would I know? I guess living here for 61 years gave me a few clues. Oh, pronunciation of local names might need more practice for the reader.
NO PLEASE DON'T RETIRE HERE RETIRE IN MEXICO , CUBA , GUATEMALA , AFRICA OR ANY PLACE ELSE ACCEPT ANY OF DA HAWAIIAN ISLANDS PLEASE .
