I was playing this last year on a 20 year old PS2 (still going strong). Now we’re only 1 month away from GT7 (God, I hope it’s a return to the GT3 days!)
It gives me npstalgia not from the early 2000s but from 2017 when i was still tiny now im 10 years i played gt3 and 4 on my dads old ps2 cause we couldnt afford anything better
I love that all the Gran Turismo games give that feeling of pushing the limits of the console, and being a tech showcase. Shit, I think all the way up to GT6 they're still using some upgraded models from GT3 and 4. Not because GT6 is cheaply made, but because the car models were so accurate on the PS2 to begin with. All they needed was a cosmetic makeover and they were ready to go. I also wish I had preserved a fat PS3 from the get go so I could play all the Gran Turismo games on a single console. I can emulate all the PS1 and PS2 titles though so it's not as big a deal as it used to be. The plain Slim PS3 is just a better console.
