Rockstar sure as hell knows how to build up hype like no other company... I remember when I first got the game back in late 2013, I would just sit in my chair with the game paused, just to listen to this. I even fell asleep a few times. Love it.
Installing it was incredible! Like an hour to get fully installed in my Xbox 360, listening the loading theme knowing that behind the slow and paused music it's a game like no one before (and by the date, no one after)
God, the nostalgia...I remember being in high school, sitting in class, anxiously awaiting the day to end so I could get back home and continue playing. I'd get home, play for a bit, and end up eventually pausing the game to finally do my homework. All the while, this played on loop in the background... That was 5 years ago...Almost 6. Wow.
It just isn't dieing, it's the perfect san andreas formula and the continuusly updating online part that keep it allive to infinidty. Some part of me wants to go back and replay the story for the x. Time but some part of mine is quite hesitant.

As controversial as gta online is, the gtaV single player is one of the best and most memorable experiences I’ve had in gaming. It’s a story I’ll always remember
TBH, I always treat GTA 5 and GTA Online as two different games: GTA 5 being Michael, Franklin, and Trevor's story (which is the underrated gem), and GTA Online being the controversial multiplayer

I don’t know how many of you will read this but man this game came out when I was 13 years old bruh. Im 22 now and this music just reminds me of the times of just not having to worry about a damn thing and just enjoying life. I played this game with my 2 brothers and we didn’t have much growing up but this game was an escape. I don’t talk to my brothers too much these days but this music right here will always remind me of those times. I hope someone out there can relate in any similar way.
Me and my friends couldn’t wait to get home from school to play this game online especially during finance and felony in 2016 it’s 2022 now and things are a lot different now I don’t talk to them anymore I don’t know where they are or what their doing but this song reminds me of 2 things the good times I had playing it and one recently I woke put my tv on this was in my recommendation I played it open the blinds in my room looked outside at it was my life flashed for an instant just understanding how fast time and life go I’m 20 now and sure life does scare you I still haven’t a clue what I wanna do with my life I got no job no future no friends no girlfriend I’m just alone and this song is what made me realise that I just things turn out differently in my future but hey it’s a good game just wish they’d move on and make another for another generation to play and have conversations like this by that time me and you will probably be our 30s or late 30s by the time rockstar make another game
i can relate. im 23 and my brother is 17 now. Back in those days we played gta 4 and 5, he wouldnt want to hurt civilians because he felt like they were like real people with families ahaha. Real good times. Drifting on the airport with my cousin. All nighters on school holidays playing this, halo, and all the other classics. You never know what you have until its gone.
I came home the other day after work and my wife said, “I’ve been sitting here for ages just listening to your relaxing music you had on the stereo.” It took me ages to realise I’d forgotten to turn of the Xbox and this had been playing all day in my flat. She now listens to it to relax. It’s a genuinely great piece of music. Rockstar, you guys are rock stars!

I dont know it just reminds me of the simpler times of being a kid without a care in the world and just playing video games with friends. This, Minecraft, Gta 4 soundtrack and many more thing really make me nostalgic and sad. August is the last month of freedom before hell starts in September and I'm already sad because I've done so many great things during these 2 months and how many great people I've met. Edit after 2 long years (16.12.2023) The trailer for GTA VI was released almost 2 weeks ago and 2023 is ending. It was a great year and i played alot of online. I still love this game and still feel nostalgic as time goes on. When gta 6 comes out this game will still be remembered at least in my eyes just like gta 4 was. So. Gta VI just got revealed by Rockstar, which is cool. But somehow it makes me... Sad. This game, it's story, the characters, the locations, the music especially. It's a core memory of mine. Playing GTA VI will feel like moving on. Moving on from your childhood, your teenage years and your nostalgia. While I'm excited, I don't think I'm ready... It feels so strange to be THIS attached to a piece of media. But listening to this music... It evokes so many good and bad memories/feelings. If you're reading this. I remember when my brother got GTA V at launch and watching him playing it beside him and it's one of the best and nostalgic things I can remember in my life tbh, I never got to play GTA V cause of my age and I wasn't into it back then but now that I'm older and there's thanksgiving/black Friday sale I finally got the chance the try the game out, and honestly this game (or atleast the story-mode) still holds up 10 years later.
Well the main reason you and i..we...all feel like that cause los santos is like a home to all of us now, so many years that passed being there is just like....home and now that we are leaving from our home for once more again it feels weird and different, yet we got a big adventure in front of us, lets keep it up and..sometimes it isn't bad to look back.
And just think, I'll be 18 when GTA VI comes out. Even then, I know one day in a couple of years, the same way I'm feeling now of GTA V and all the memories I've had of this game, I know I'll probably eventually feel the same way about GTA VI one day, because that's what life is. It's a constant memory that one day, the future will be the present, and then the past.

Summer of 7th grade. Best friend at my house, we're taking turns playing all the different missions for the first time, experiencing the story that we didn't even fully understand. We just had so much fun. Old best friend has moved far away years ago, haven't seen or been in contact with him in a long time. I reminisce about the old days with him, playing on the ps3. It was because of this game. The way it is written and presented, and all the things I've learnt and all the last great prepubescent experiences I have had were always accompanied by at least some game time at home of this game, tired but happy. I loved this theme back then but it never had anything special to it. Now, it makes me reminisce. Things have been bad. I'm no longer fit, funny or happy. When life was easy, when nothing troubled us, when we used to enjoy life back then, you hear GTA online is gonna be out, hyped for it, running heists with friends, no modders in the og days so you had to grind your ass off for those expensive cars. Even 2016 and the first 25% percent of 2017 was sooo much fucking fun. Im never gonna forget those days.

Really one of the greatest games I’ve played. Probably the best game I’ve ever played. No other game has been consistently enjoyable for an entire decade. Hopefully GTA 6 lives up to the hype because I think it’ll be very difficult for it to top the memories from this one.

Is it weird that I already feel nostalgic for a game like GTA V? This song makes me miss experiencing the game for the first time ever. I could play the game right now if I wanted to but it wouldn't feel as the same as it did in September 17th, 2013.
I never got to really play the game (or any GTA game for that matter) for real until 2017 due to being too young when the game came out, and this track definitely has that same effect on me every time I listen to it.

So many memories in this game, it has been such an important part of my childhood. Many people have the same feeling, thats without a doubt because its an amazing game. Forget about the stupid modding, the story mode and online are amazing. Its also amazing to see that the game is so active today.

Then I think about the present and think of how much of a failure I am at life and how I feel like I wont be able to accomplish anything. It's not that the past was any better to what you have now. It was an idealised version of the past, something all humans have. Because the old say back in the good ol days. There's no such thing. We all suffered and enjoyed this existence together. I'm still young on this journey so I best make it a worthwhile one. The way I see it, it's pointless aspiring to a heaven. Because in my mind, heaven is a concept of hypothesis and not yet proven. I think there may be a 'State' of mind considered heaven. I've been there a few times but always popped back to a nonexistent reality built upon our ancestors lives and lies. Their knowledge and belif. And if we look at our ancestry, you'll find their lives were worse. That's why an idealised vision of the past exists. To calm us using that tactic. A lot of the times, poorer children are happier than average to well off ones. Do you know why? Because the poor don't live in the past or future. They live everyday 'NOW'. Which makes them more happy

Trevor..and Franklin...they all went their ways.. the one with the family and movies.. the other one with his business and his best friend Lamar.. and the last one with drug business and Sandy Shores life. Ah.. when it came out on the 17th September 2013.. it was a different experience..it felt so surreal..so fulminant and exciting.. The music ,the atmosphere, the cars and weapons, the plot .. the dynamic of the characters..the online mode ( before the noob bike times..).. 2013 -2015 were the best GTA 5 times.. Like every GTA it will be a part of our memory and history.. Vice City, San Andreas, LCS/VCS , IV and their episodes..and this piece. GTA 6 will be revolutionary and a milestone for decades.. Im 22 now and this music just reminds me of the times of just not having to worry about a damn thing and just enjoying life. I played this game with my 2 brothers and we didn’t have much growing up but this game was an escape. I don’t talk to my brothers too much these days but this music right here will always remind me of those times. I hope someone out there can relate in any similar way.

i can relate. im 23 and my brother is 17 now. Back in those days we played gta 4 and 5, he wouldnt want to hurt civilians because he felt like they were like real people with families ahaha. August is the last month of freedom before hell starts in September and I'm already sad because I've done so many great things during these 2 months and how many great people I've met. The trailer for GTA VI was released almost 2 weeks ago and 2023 is ending. It was a great year and i played alot of online. I still love this game and still feel nostalgic as time goes on. I remember when my brother got GTA V at launch and watching him playing it beside him and it's one of the best and nostalgic things I can remember in my life tbh, I never got to play GTA V cause of my age and I wasn't into it back then but now that I'm older and there's thanksgiving/black Friday sale I finally got the chance the try the game out, and honestly this game (or atleast the story-mode) still holds up 10 years later.
Well the main reason you and i..we...all feel like that cause los santos is like a home to all of us now, so many years that passed being there is just like....home and now that we are leaving from our home for once more again it feels weird and different, yet we got a big adventure in front of us, lets keep it up and..sometimes it isn't bad to look back.
And just think, I'll be 18 when GTA VI comes out. Even then, I know one day in a couple of years, the same way I'm feeling now of GTA V and all the memories I've had of this game, I know I'll probably eventually feel the same way about GTA VI one day, because that's what life is. It's a constant memory that one day, the future will be the present, and then the past.

It was because of this game. The way it is written and presented, and all the things I've learnt and all the last great prepubescent experiences I have had were always accompanied by at least some game time at home of this game, tired but happy. I loved this theme back then but it never had anything special to it. Now, it makes me reminisce. Things have been bad. I'm no longer fit, funny or happy. Is it weird that I already feel nostalgic for a game like GTA V? This song makes me miss experiencing the game for the first time ever. I could play the game right now if I wanted to but it wouldn't feel as the same as it did in September 17th, 2013.
I never got to really play the game (or any GTA game for that matter) for real until 2017 due to being too young when the game came out, and this track definitely has that same effect on me every time I listen to it.
It’s the most nostalgic sound that brings tears to me every time. This desire to go back...It reminds you how shit it is today.

with all the hype surrounding the new game i decided to finish V once again, and only this time i dedicated myself to fully enjoying what the campaign offers us, the places, characters, missions... listen to this soundtrack while i reflect on the impact that V has had on my life over the last 9 years makes me feel very emotional and grateful

So many memories in this game, it has been such an important part of my childhood. Many people have the same feeling, thats without a doubt because its an amazing game. Forget about the stupid modding, the story mode and online are amazing. Its also amazing to see that the game is so active today.

I used to play GTA with 6 friends of mine, we were doing everything together. We were doing heists, missions, arena war, thousands of Casino heists, we made our own races. We used to have a wonderful time all together.
Now we are all in our separate ways, they are not online in GTA V anymore and i am a loner again, i wish i could bring back those times. So long brothers😔

This music makes me look back at how everything was so much better in the past and how I took it for granted and didn't even realize how good I had it. Then I think about the present and think of how much of a failure I am at life and how I feel like I wont be able to accomplish anything. Then I look ahead, seeing all the possible challenges and changes, and I shudder feeling unprepared.
Then I think to myself. I just gotta keep moving, because if the earth stopped moving we'd all be fucked, and if I don't keep moving I'll be fucked. I probably don't make any sense but what ever. Everyone else is sharing their thoughts so I thought I'd share mine.

It's not that the past was any better to what you have now. It was an idealised version of the past, something all humans have. Because the old say back in the good ol days. There's no such thing. We all suffered and enjoyed this existence together. I'm still young on this journey so I best make it a worthwhile one. The way I see it, it's pointless aspiring to a heaven. Because in my mind, heaven is a concept of hypothesis and not yet proven. I think there may be a 'State' of mind considered heaven. I've been there a few times but always popped back to a nonexistent reality built upon our ancestors lives and lies. Their knowledge and belif. And if we look at our ancestry, you'll find their lives were worse. That's why an idealised vision of the past exists. To calm us using that tactic. A lot of the times, poorer children are happier than average to well off ones. Do you know why? Because the poor don't live in the past or future. They live everyday 'NOW'. Which makes them more happy
I feel exactly the same man. I am a bad student and my Intelligence is so low that I cannot assimilate anything when studying. I remember my past and how beautiful everything was. Now I am 16 years old and I might not pass my exams and stay homeless. Also my parents hate me and an illness has hit us hard. Then I want to commit suicide but I don't cause I am a coward. Why was I ever born? Do I deserve to suffer that much?

Sounds nostalgic and timeless .. Los Santos, Michael.. Trevor..and Franklin...they all went their ways.. the one with the family and movies.. the other one with his business and his best friend Lamar.. and the last one with drug business and Sandy Shores life. Ah.. when it came out on the 17th September 2013.. it was a different experience..it felt so surreal..so fulminant and exciting.. The music ,the atmosphere, the cars and weapons, the plot .. the dynamic of the characters..the online mode ( before the noob bike times..).. 2013 -2015 were the best GTA 5 times.. Like every GTA it will be a part of our memory and history.. Vice City, San Andreas, LCS/VCS , IV and their episodes..and this piece. GTA 6 will be revolutionary and a milestone for decades.. Mark my words.

Probably Gta VI will be better than Gta V in a technical and graphical standpoint, but Gta V will always stay the same for us, a big masterpiece.

Man this song it's so good I simply paused, turned up the volume and closed my eyes, several thoughts, childhood memories, everything and I almost fell asleep with this song. Man, I still remember today when I would go to my aunt's house.
