    I thought LED brake lights were illegal here in Australia. Great bike. This is the closest I'll ever get to a bike again since the divorce. So thanks heaps for sharing the video. Cheers mate.

    Nice job, really like the gs550. I'm an Aussie living here in the UK now, and am looking to start building some bikes here this year. Gonna need some of that merch.

    Just seen this, that is one fantastic bike well done.
    I was thinking of copper accents on my black gsx4f but wasn't sure about taking the plunge. I like it.

    What model Ducati is that single sided swing arm from? I may be getting a GS650 soon and absolutely love the job you have done with this build!!!

    • @PurposeBuiltMoto
      @PurposeBuiltMoto  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks man, the 650 has a slightly different frame to this one so don’t take my word it will work.
      This is a Ducati 749 swing arm. I have a heap of detail on the blog linked in the video notes

    Perfect build,just picked up a 85 model and got it running and wanna remove air box and run pod style filters on the two carbs but they are oval? Can you shed any light on subject on od carb size or where I can find filters?

    • @PurposeBuiltMoto
      @PurposeBuiltMoto  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question Mitch, this particular GS is the 4 carb katana model.
      The twin carb models are a little more difficult.
      I would suggest two options.
      1. Replace the carbs with an upgraded Mikuni or Keihin set.
      2. Use the existing air box boot to modify/fabricate a carb boot that was suitable for a round pod filter.
      You can check out our website for DNA pod filter sizes

    Hi there, did the gsx r750 triple clamps fit without modifications? Thanks Jimmy

    • @PurposeBuiltMoto
      @PurposeBuiltMoto  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Jimmy,
      The bearings needed to be replaced but that was it. If you read the blog on my site I go into a bit more detail. I was able to keep the triple clamps as is and maintain good rake/trail because I also heavily modified the rear suspension.

      Being an older bike it’s very difficult. Searching online stores and eBay is the best option
