Experts looked at both cases without knowing who they were reviewing and have ruled that both cases are contaminations. Also lower ranked cases have been ruled contaminations and had reduced sentences.

But Jannik and Iga weren't doping. They were exposed to minuscule amounts of a prohibited drug, and the tests today are simply so sensitive that they pick up the most minute amounts of a prohibited drug, despite it being orders of magnitude below a therapeutic dose. Also, Jannik and Iga did it all by the book. Because they were able to appeal so quickly because they could find the source of the contamination (and because they have a shit ton of money for lawyers and investigators), they were able to keep on playing and keep things quiet because those are quite literally the rules. If you challenge it right away, it has to stay under wraps and you can keep playing until a decision is made, unless it some cut and dry case. Also, Kyrgios is 100%

Legitimate contamination happens all the time. I'm pretty sure WADA is recommending that the rules be changed for the sensitivity of the drug tests because of this. The tests are becoming more and more sensitive, and all that's really uncovering is that some of what we ingest has minuscule levels of contamination. It's not outing actual dopers.

He tested positive twice in an 8 day period. 10 tests in the previous 6 months were negative. There is no way to have trace amounts without previous positive tests. It takes months for steroids to get to minute levels like that. It would have shown up in big amounts in the previous months.

I am a Physical Therapist that works with many Athletes. Nick is not a medically educated. He doesn’t understand how blood doping tests work and how steroids break down in the body. If Sinner was actually taking real steroids he would have had positive tests in the months prior to these billionths of a gram found in his blood. He had around 10 tests in the previous 6 months. By the way….these are blood tests. There is no way to fool these tests. You cannot take or drink anything to mask drugs in your blood. That only works with urine.

Secondly, he has already been found to be "not liable" for the substance that was found in his system. Therefore, he is innocent of wrongdoing in that respect. Yes, it's true that WADA is appealing the ruling of "no fault or negligence." That doesn't follow that Sinner's a cheat. means that WADA thinks he must take responsibility for the carelessness of his team. That’s why the panel went easy on him. If he was injecting steroids, the levels would have been off the charts in his previous 10 tests in the 6 months prior and would have shown positive tests. Plus these are blood tests. There is no way you can cheat these tests. Nothing you can take to mask drugs in your system. It’s not like a urinalysis. It’s just not doping. It’s an accidental exposure. I could slap some androgel on my hand and shake someone’s hand and these tests would pick that up. That’s just not sports doping.

But Jannik and Iga weren't doping. They were exposed to minuscule amounts of a prohibited drug, and the tests today are simply so sensitive that they pick up the most minute amounts of a prohibited drug, despite it being orders of magnitude below a therapeutic dose. Also, Jannik and Iga did it all by the book. Because they were able to appeal so quickly because they could find the source of the contamination (and because they have a shit ton of money for lawyers and investigators), they were able to keep on playing and keep things quiet because those are quite literally the rules. If you challenge it right away, it has to stay under wraps and you can keep playing until a decision is made, unless it some cut and dry case.

We know the exact pathology of how the substance ended up in his system at the tiniest tiniest fraction, it came from a steroidal cream rubbed onto Sinners feet, his coach purchased the cream over the counter in Italy, the banned substance is sold as standard in Italy, it's not a banned substance, but the doping association have put it on their banned list.

I am a Physical Therapist that works with many Athletes. Nick is not a medically educated. He doesn’t understand how blood doping tests work and how steroids break down in the body. If Sinner was actually taking real steroids he would have had positive tests in the months prior to these billionths of a gram found in his blood. He had around 10 tests in the previous 6 months. By the way….these are blood tests. There is no way to fool these tests. You cannot take or drink anything to mask drugs in your blood. That only works with urine.

I've disliked a lot of things that Nick has said and done, but this is different. This was an outstanding viewpoint from Nick. Very impressive. I didn't know that Sinner has failed 2 drug tests, on 2 different dates. That's really bad. Nick's comment about two #1 tennis players getting popped for doping is a horrible look for the sport is very, very true. That´s not true - Nadal was out of play because he had operations - his medication involved a steroid which was on the WADA list so he informed the Tennis Association before any tests. 2) "Performance enhancing" Nope, in both cases a team of experts confirm that the amount cannot affect the performance in any way; also both Jannik and Iga were tested during all the year tens of times and still win everywhere
3) "Failed two tests" The fact the two testes were in 8 days span with the same micro-amount confirm the contamination, because Sinner got several massage during the week. In case of intentional doping, he must have been a big amount in the first test and some traces in the second.
4) "They took prize money and points, so they're not innocent" Nope, due to the ATP rules if you fail a test they took points and prize money for that tournamente before any investigations.

@al1976-v7m Firstly, any prize money and points stemming from the tournament in which the positive test happened is automatically deducted. That is standard practice and procedure. Secondly, he has already been found to be "not liable" for the substance that was found in his system. Therefore, he is innocent of wrongdoing in that respect. Yes, it's true that WADA is appealing the ruling of "no fault or negligence." That doesn't follow that Sinner's a cheat. means that WADA thinks he must take responsibility for the carelessness of his team.
I think that many people (intentionally or unintentionally) overlook or haven't bothered to inform themselves of the finer details - Kyrgios included.

That’s why the panel went easy on him. If he was injecting steroids, the levels would have been off the charts in his previous 10 tests in the 6 months prior and would have shown positive tests. Plus these are blood tests. There is no way you can cheat these tests. Nothing you can take to mask drugs in your system. It’s not like a urinalysis. It’s just not doping. It’s an accidental exposure. I could slap some androgel on my hand and shake someone’s hand and these tests would pick that up. That’s just not sports doping.

With regards to Sinner’s case , Kyros needs to understand that he is never top player tennis player to Keep repeating the same over and over again. The top 10 tennis players (especially Russians) are more than welcome to speak so but keep listening about the same topic from Kyros sounds immature from his side.
