I'm not normally a Kyrgios fan.... but to be honest the fight and tenacity to compete in that match was insane. I think his remark about being all court was spot on. Being in tennis analytics, the stats are clear. Kyrgios won vast majority of rallies (87%) that exceeded 3 balls.
@@mattheworr7018 Just remember .... He has been out for 1.5 years and this is his first match back ... and he didn't lose his serve once. If he plays this guy in Aus open again over 3 sets with same strategy, he will nail him in 5
@mt817 you mean Kyrgios agenda is to humiliate himself? Ahah mission accomplished, he's very good at that🤣 btw if Sinner meets this drunken clown, he'll smash him 6-2 6-2 6-2 🤣
Nick has a massive serve as well he shouldn’t sell himself short!!! To go 3 sets after almost two years off is great!! Hopefully he can sustain his level and be healthy
Giovanni is a Superstar and right now a top 30 player in HOT form which means he could beat Top 10 players right now. No shame for Nick at all. In fact the opposite. Giovanni at Wimbledon is near certainty for r16. He is a floater exactly like Nick actually. I thought Nick was incredible. I don't think 5 set tennis is the best way back for him but he has points to win/protect.
NICK, YOU DID GREAT!!!! I wish his singles comeback match wouldn't have been with Perricard, though. What a positive transformation in character...it's wonderful! I hope he will continue on his journey and not give in to this early result because history has proven that many of the greatest successful people suffered multiple defeats and failures before victory and greatness. I'm in your corner, champ!❤
3 yrs ago at the age of 60 I broke my wrist skateboarding (Ripsurfing actually) - my first broken bone ever!! So bad the bone was sticking out of my wrist on the outer forearm!! The wrist was totally mangled, but I had a good surgeon, and it was repaired and there is now a metal plate in there. Rehab was long and arduous, but my only aim was to get it strong enough for surfing, and to play tennis. It's fully healed now, a little less flexible, but I can do everything without being aware of any disability or pain. Of course, I'm not a top level tennis player practising hours a day!! Good luck Nick. I hope you can come back to your previous level. It's no shame losing to Perricard. He's a top 20 player, and in great form!
Hewitt was not that good. He got a lucky wave of great older players retiring and newer players just coming onto the scene. He would barely make it out of rd 1 at a slam in this day and age
If Kyrgios gets back to his best we could push for a Davis Cup with Kyrgios as our 2nd option & Alex as our 1st reckon at his peak he was better then most countries 2nd option still think USA have a better 2nd option in Tommy Paul
Berrettini, if fit, is probably the best second option currently out there. But if Kyrgios manages to become as fit as in 2022 he will be the best no.2 at davis cup.
Lol no. It wasn't injuries that was his problem. He had plenty of time in his prime without injuries to make it big and squandered it through partying, drugs, alcohol and lack of drive. He only has himself to blame. He could've been a top 5 player in the mid 2010s.

Go get it King Nick!
Miracles are meant for those who are humble and for those who have faced oppression.

That was Nicks best game he has ever played … why so everyone so surprised
What kind of wrist injury did Agassi have heading into Wimbledon 1993 where he even had to modify his serve and still only lost to Sampras in 5?
If healthy he is dangerous. We might be witnessing one of greatest comebacks
The best Australian player since Lleyton Hewitt.
