Bonjour Monsieur, i wish to thank u for Ur help, u r a boss. After spending some days to operate my systems, software hardware, add to several gears..., i can finaly take a so High pleasure info the whole process to create music i imagine. We all have a World inside ourselves...
how do you add more available modules to the ProChannel? I've seen other people's list, like your. I have Bark of the Dog and I have Panipulator. You'r show up on you ProChannel's Module list, but not mine.. they are both located in ....\Cakewalk Shared\Internal but they don't show up on the Module menu? Any Ideas? any one? (it's always so quiet when posing questions here)
The FX Chain Module can be used to watch over your proper gain staging (between the PC modules) because is has faders. You can also use "normal" VSTs to get them into the ProChannel Chain.
@@sergioandresvahos281 On recording just avoid hardware clipping. this can't be fixed later. Don't take gain staging too serious. Just remember having an eye on clipping busses while mixing. have fun
So i get how inserts work from using my ol faithful studiomaster 16-4-2 and the 4 bus send/return channels. I remember using the cakewalk daw before the prochannel. So i have never used a major consol like an ssl etc. So my question is. Is the prochennel supposed to emulate i guess the channels of an ssl with its onboard channel compressors and such. Its a wonderful addition i think. But sometimes i find myself questioning the prochannel.. like "ok well i have my insert chain and aux/bus routes if i need.. so at that point my brain thinks,, "why the prochannel"??
I think the ProChannel's biggest benefit is it saves on CPU power since it's built into Cakewalk. Is it the best analog emulation out there, probably not, but it's still pretty darn good!
The pro channel EQ is fine for most applications. If you have to do more surgical stuff, then something like the Slate Infinity EQ will get you where you need to be. 👍
This is superb tutorial. I just have a question. Spacebar is for play and stop, right? My problem is, whenever i press spacebar to stop. It goes back to where i initially played. Not from where i stopped. Can you help me fix this pls? 🙏🏽
W is return to zero CTRL+Spacebar on stop rewind to now Spacebar stop CTRL+W and Track View On Stop, Rewind to Now menu option swap CTRL+Spacebar and Spacebar
@@AudioSorcerer After insane amount of time invested in searching for perfect one : I've opted for MASCHINE - I know : it's simple, has 2 dedicated controllers Jam and Pad controller : it's by far the fastest way to compose a track : and its a live performance platform as well. IPS: Inches per Second. So glad the CA2A is back, not that I mind the Analog Obsession LaLa. @@HeroMike17 Well, I never had either with my deal so I didn't really know the difference. Lol. So perhaps I spoke out of school. Still glad to have whatever has been added to this update.
I guess you mostly work with protools these days? Also i heard CbB has issue when one does orchestral work and that the midi editor slows with lots of tracks basically, you know if that true? Or maybe you don't do orchestra work with high track counts? Thank for the video.
I do most of my work in Pro Tools. I haven't heard of the MIDI editor slowing down. I have some medium size Cakewalk sessions with slot of virtual instruments in them and they run fine. You can always freeze your tracks.
Very good information. It seems the pro channel is very convenient and useful. Thanks for sharing.
No problem! Thanks for checking out the video.
Man! so thanful for your work, you deserve the good in life!
I appreciate that!
Amazing tutorial . thanks so much for putting it out there !!!
No problem! Glad it was helpful.
Thanks for that. I really enjoyed that, particularly the sequence of effects. I'm off to experiment.
Glad I could help! 🤘
Great tutorial, but I would probably eq before compression in most instances. Keep up the good work.
It helps me a lot. Thank you ❤️
You're welcome! 🤘🤘🤘

What was the solution?

Please explain me. It`s better do the gaing staging while you are recording? Or its better do that later?

Do you recommend using EQ plug ins on channel tracks or just use the pro channel EQ?

@@AudioSorcerer thank you and always watch your channel especially learning about cakewalk ! Keep up the great work
How do i sync studiolive with sonar , Studiolive uses usb, and in cakewalk under control surfaces studiolive do not show up as an option
I would search some forums for that or see if PreSonus has some documentation on it. I'm honestly not sure.
I with the 2x upsampling would work on. The pro channel but sadly it does not.
Thank you for this really helpful video!!!

Don't forget to update cakewalk.....nice!
Double click on the eq display to pop out a bigger interface :D
Yes, I'm aware of that. 😛

This DAW looks good but it's a nightmare to use
and yes, pro channel is super dope.
Cheers 🥂
What DAW do you prefer?

Are you sure? I thougt PC2A is back, not the (newer) CA2A. PC2A has no VST (Pro-Channel only) and NO sidechaining, but the sound is incredible, too...

They are so great but only use a couple of them. Lol
They do make some good modules 👍
what a bout bus compressor and you have forget to expand eq.....
