It's amazing how much has been opened up by SMLight having such a great Web UI and VPN support. This truly allows a multi-site Home Assistant instance running on one Home Assistant devices. Off topic, I would love to see a tour of your own smart home and home Dashboard layouts sometime. :)
It can work, but it is not supposed to be used like that - Z2M should have exclusive access to it. Cleanest way is to use 1 Z2M and than just connect both HA to same MQTT server.
13:10 Does it really make sense to use the command in the terminal? It should be enough to set it up as the sensor and then just restart HASS, no ? Thanks for the useful tutorial though! :) Will be thinking of how I use that on my remote location.
Sure, but by using (or testing) the command in terminal, you can see if it's working and is route OK. After that, just copy in the sensor. But, again, this step can be skipped.
I'm wondering why noone has made VirtualHere a proper addon for HomeAssistant. It could be also used the same way as this VPN tunnel but perhaps it would not drop out with internet issues.
Great video, but I wish you could just get to the point .. too much talk talk talk… just get to it !!20 mins video that could have been around 6 - 7 minutes!
Have you ever send such a message to a Hollywood film director? 😉 Watch and learn from the video/film, be thankful for the dedication of the creator of the content and move on. Peace ✌🏻

Thank you :)
Well, my smart home... I usually make video end of the year, so it will be out later this year, but this one will be a bit different....
I'm running 4x in WG now. Works very nice 👍
Awesome - all working well?
@@BeardedTinker dont get much downtime, Z2mqtt auto restart if there is a connection errors.
I just got mine today. And if this is what I think it is...
... then O M G, I will be blown away and will recommend this to everyone I know!
Hopefully this is what you've wanted to see ;)
BTW - there is also new device that will be out shortly from them
Ist the best Setup, one for Home and one for Camp and this Connect to one Cloud Proxmox Homeassistent, i Love it ❤
Can you use an adapter in the same network with two home assistant instances with Z2M? Like two computers running HA but sharing the zigbee network.

@@BeardedTinker Right yeah, that's correct :) that didn't occur to me. Thanks!

😂😂😂
🤣
Can't blame me for trying ;)
how to upgrade from conbee 2 to SLZB-06 Zigbee can you give us a step by step process..thanks
To be honest, no idea. I've never used Conbee stick. I can only presume that it's similar to other devices, but that's jus tmy wild guess.
hello,
can i connect SLZB-06 WireGuardwith unifi dream machine WireGuard ? so i can access the another network where SLZB-06 connect ?
Thank you
Potentially yes, but I'm not sure that SLZB will do routing on local network of VPN traffic. That's the main issue in my opinion.
