Such a helpful and straight to the point no bs video great time stamps only reason I mentioned the stamps is because I used this video just to set up the remote with cord then like 5 days of hollow knight and I’m like I kinda wana use wireless so I came back and it’s truly so easy
make sure you are using a USB-C that can transfer data (not just a charging cable) otherwise windows and steam won't pick it up at all.

If your PC asks for a PinCode when connecting your controller with Bluetooth, enter ''0000'' , that is the default pincode for Bluetooth devices

I have a problem. I have had my controller connected to my laptop many times and didnt have any trouble but now for no reason when I try to connect it it say pairing and then says controller error. I have done all the steps correctly. Does anybody have an idea what to do?

I don't know how but I somehow messed up the configurations and now it only let's me drive, reverse and toggle ball cam. The rest of the buttons don't do anything and the reset to doesn't work. Can you help me
You legit saved me from struggle all week trying to get my pro controller to work as an Xbox controller on Genshin Impact. Had to working before but I had to soft reset my PC for techincal reason and lost the settings. Thanks for the help!

How to automatically have it reconnect to the PC? I don't use it on my switch and I never have. It does not auto connect I have to go into bluetooth forget device and reconnect again.

Every time I turn my PC the controller doesn't reconnect appears as detected but doesn't do a thing, I can use it again if I erase the device and connect it again via Bluetooth but that's really annoying, so you have any idea why this happens and how to solve it?

This same process will work with a micro USB controller (like the PS4) as it does with type c controller (Switch, Dualsense)

Mine connects and worked fine for a week. But today it just keeps switching between xbox 360 controller inputs and a numerical gamepad input. Each button pressed switches back and forth... the game i play is Resident Evil 6..

so im doing this cuz i found a 3rd party ps remote play app that lets me us my pro controller on the ps4 but when i try to map the home button it sends me to the home screen on my laptop so i cant use the home button do u know how to fix it?
It would be some setting in the app you're using. Most of the time when any controller is connected to PC , the home button is mapped to the Windows button. I would check the app's settings and see if there is a button layout option
That's a lot easier than I expected. My switch controller refuses to turn off after I unplug it though, so I have to remember to turn it off manually afterward.

@@tr984 I have the Pro controller and there is a little physical on/off button on top of the controller next to the usb charging port (looks kinda like a pin hole button). Give it a quick press and it turns the controller off.

It depends on the game. I know it works with Fortnite and GTA because I've used them with the pro controller

so how's the compatibility? After years of Nintendo I just cannot use the Xbox layout.
Most games show the Xbox buttons but the layout is switch

So i wanted to connect my Pro Controller to my PC but my PC just cant seem to find it no matter what i do. I literally tried everything but nothing works. My PC doesnt have bluetooth so atm theres only this option. I tried the same thing on my laptop and it worked perfectly without doing anything else before it just worked. ports are fine it works with everything else just not the pro controller. Steam cant recognize the controller either and i tried downloading software but it doesnt seem to work as well. maybe its me not having bluetooth? is it a requirement even if i do have a usb-c?
I'm out of ideas i tried everything i could find on the internet

Im having trouble reconnecting the Pro Controller with my PC after Pairing. So everytime I want to use the Pro Controller, I have to pair it again. Is there any workaround for this?

No, unfortunately, there is not. Frankly, I'm really confused as to why he didn't mention this issue in the video because as far as I can tell it's an issue that everyone has with the pro controller and the idea that anyone would be willing to go through the pairing process after every shutdown is just ridiculous. Imo without the ability to reconnect automatically, PC Bluetooth connectivity is completely worthless so the entire video is totally misleading. anyway, yeah it really sucks

I tried it with the usb cable that came with the pro controller but, it doesn't work. I get the same thing. The light turns on for a second then goes out and then repeats every now and then. It's like the PC picks it up for a second but then immediately disconnects.

I used to play For Honor on my ps4 been years since ive played and i got a long time ago after selling my console just got for honor again and was having trouble getting my switch pro controller to connect hopefully this helps i will update after my game is done downloading

You have to calibrate the sticks...use windows calibration

Try reconnecting the controller (reconnect it to switch then disconnect and connect back to pc). Also make sure your Windows OS and drivers are up to date, check Win updates by going to settings>Windows update and then scanning, install any new updates that appear. For drivers go to device manager, and under Human Interface Devices it should show the controller (listed as generic controller, gaming controller, Switch Controller or something along those lines), right click and select update drivers, start the scan and install whatever it finds, if nothing is found uninstall the device and restart your system.
Where do I download Steam at? Do you have a link? Or do I go to like Google play or something sorry I'm completely new to this
You need to be on a PC or Mac not a phone.
You'll want to start by googling steam and download the steam launcher from their website.
This will make a steam desktop app on you're computer that will launch the steam store. The steam store is basically like a browser for shopping and organizing you're games, you can launch any game you download on the steam store app from there.

[HELP!] If I ever turn Bluetooth off or put my PC to sleep, the controller will disconnect. When I try to connect it again, it will say that it's still paired in my bluetooth settings but it's impossible to reconnect unless I remove the device and pair it again. This will allow it to work but it's so cumbersome to reconnect it every single time I want to use it. Is there any way to fix this?

Nothing detects the controller when I plug it in. I've tried multiple USB ports, and verified they work, and nothing. The cable I used works just fine too. Help?

@@rexn97 Does your computer have Bluetooth? Cuz I didn’t realize that I didn’t have any Bluetooth on my desktop build when I first try to do this method. I had to get myself a Bluetooth adapter right afterwards to resolve this issue
